Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

So bad weekend for me. Weighed myself this morning and the scales are up 2lbs Confused! It was a bad weekend but that can't be right! Anyway back in healthy eating this week. I shall lose it and more!

TiredAssShowgirl · 03/08/2015 08:42

Morning all, happy Monday!

My mini goal of 'only be 3 lb above this week's target' didn't hold, but I'm also on this week so i think that probably had a bearing too. Mainly though that I'm just not sticking to it, so i need to be stricter. 9 st 7 today. Need to be 9 st 4 at least by the end of the week.

Lunch is leftover lasagne and salad, dinner will probably be leftover pulled pork (i strip the fat) and salad. Probably for the whole week tbh, i made SO MUCH of each Wink

Well done Ella! You've come so far!!

Good work getting back under Meg - need to crack that one! We've not actually got enough clear private space for a plank ( house share) so that will have to wait til we move in Sept!

Welcome Bberry - your party day is not too bad, you need high days otherwise it's doomed! look at how well your previous days went!

Jesus Pointy - can't believe it's been 7 weeks we've been on here! So nice to set yourself a new goal cos you hit the last one Smile

Welcome Arhj. I find tracking intake is so so useful - one just forgets otherwise. I'm a massive grazer, and if i don't record i don't remember! If i record stuff, i can have whatever i want - i just have to be willing to justify it to myself later. Stops me feeling hard done by, and keeps me coming back if i do indulge.

Drexel, you need Arch for the juicing, she's been on them 8 odd weeks! From my limted experience, everything tastes better with apples, ginger and lemon juice added. I love broccoli, carrot, granny Smith apple, ginger and lime.

Have a good week all!!

DrexelG · 03/08/2015 10:39

Thanks tiresassshowgirl, just waiting for it to arrive
I'm going to also try the 5:2 diet as I'm just getting sick of eating crap all the time. Need some routine! And only eat when I'm hungry not just for the sake of it. Hoping to lose at least 2lbs this week. Fingers crossed x

bberry · 03/08/2015 19:14

Evening all, good day today

Couple of left over toast crusts & 2 coffees
Ham salad
Small portion homemade cottage pie so lots of veg in it
2 bel vita biscuits
Oh, and about 5/6 row tree randoms (mil brought them for the kids!)

Grin
bberry · 03/08/2015 19:28

Does anyone spiralise? I was thinking of buying one to replace pasta for healthy, lighter veg!

MegBusset · 03/08/2015 20:54

I had a bad weekend foodwise, the less said the better really! So nudged back up to 9st 8lb this morning, with only myself to blame. Been good today though:

Porridge
Quorn ham sandwich
Few carrot sticks and grapes
Spaghetti napoletana, no garlic bread or wine
Shredded this morning and did some bouldering this evening

aghjmyrtle · 03/08/2015 21:33

Oh Meg, that sounds like me, although I, unlike you have had another bad day. I wish I could get my head around this weight loss game. I am unhappy with my body and then comfort eat...Why?! Reading back over the recent posts, you all seem to be doing really well. If only I could start and lose a couple of pounds. I am going to stop buying junk , not that I buy that much as I like to cook from scratch but then I bake for my hungry children and end up eating more than them! I am going to track everything tomorrow and hope that I can see a result by Monday next week. Well done to all you losers, you are an inspiration.

KillashandraRee · 04/08/2015 05:07

Well done pointybirds that's brilliant. And everyone else who has lost.
I've had a dreadful week I have drink lots of wine and had puddings. It's been difficult as we have work going on in the house so I've had to take kids and dog out at 8.30 and stay out until 4.30/5pm. Plus stuff is everywhere and dust etc. weighed myself Monday am and was 10st4 which is 4lbs heavier than I had got down to!
Had a good day yesterday until DH got home then I had 2 glasses of wine, some ice cream and some cake Confused
I need to stop having wine as it makes me lose my willpower.
Going to get back on track today, and have carried on logging on MFP so even though I've been bad I haven't thrown in the towel. I want to get back to 10st by next Monday if I can.
On the plus side I wore a dress at the weekend that I haven't worn for ages and I'm definitely smaller. Will try and measure myself in morning to compare against when I first started as I think inch loss will spur me on.
Sorry for massive post. X

Welcome Trying. We'll be here tomorrow, enjoy your dinner Smile

Good news about your dress Killa, I'm sure you will get back down quickly - it can come off almost as quickly as it comes on if it doesn't have time to get comfortable ime Wink

Today has been pretty rubbish, been in a filthy stinking mood all day. Had cereal for lunch and then just loads of biscuits - still in calories but nothing nutritionally valid all day! On my way home now, dinner will be whatever is around for under 150 cals Angry

bberry · 04/08/2015 22:10

Good day

1/4 toasted bagel with butter, couple of forks of scrambled egg and a mouthful of smoked salmon
1/2 packet of hula hoops/couple of bites of cheese sandwich and a handful of grapes
1/2 a pizza
1 1/2 glasses of wine and resisted the magnum I gave my sister!

Can anyone tell I am eating toddler surplus or leftover food with a bit of wine thrown in???

Tryingno1 · 05/08/2015 16:21

Thanks tired!
So day 1 food so far! Yog and fruit brekkie
Home made egg salad for lunch
Naked bar for a treat
Grilled chicken and veg for dinner

Will have a quick go on the treadmill when I get home!

SuperFlyHigh · 05/08/2015 16:23

bberry · 05/08/2015 17:42

bberry · 05/08/2015 21:28

I would love another helping of curry though! Must resist.....

Tryingno1 · 05/08/2015 21:40

Thanks berry. Must say I'm starving but resisted eating anymore! It's not easy at the start but hoping I'll get used to it!

I feel you Queen, been losing and gaining the same 4 lb for 3 weeks now Angry she says like she doesn't know exactly why!

Today started ok, at 9 st 5 which is down but still above my low point, then somepne bought me breakfast. Then the pizza arrived in the office. Then i had a few beers. And then i got home and housemate had got us both éclairs to eat in front of GBBO. So today was BAAAAAAD. 2300 Shock

Glad you had good days berry and Trying! It's tough but ignoring the above paragraph you get used to eating less really quickly. I can comfortably eat a lot less now, it's boredom or a grump not hunger that do me in.

Berry, save it for lunch tomorrow, You'll enjoy it more then too!

PointyBirds · 06/08/2015 06:48

Hello all, it's all gone a bit downhill since my triumphant 10st weigh in Grin .

I've currently got the triple threat of: on holiday, got my period, and sleep deprived (one night in a caravan in 40mph winds will do that). And no exercise either to lessen the impact of extra biscuits and wine. Dreading what the scales are going to say when I get home!

KillashandraRee · 06/08/2015 07:11

Tiredassshowgirl I hate to say it but your post made me feel better about the last week!
I had a better day yesterday, first time in over a week I hit my 1200 calorie target instead of being 600+ over

Back down to 10st 2 yesterday so hopefully if I have another few good days I can get back to 10st and then make it into the magic nines Grin

Pointybirds I think when you're on holiday in a windy caravan you're bound to eat/ drink your way through it Wink

TiredAssShowgirl · 06/08/2015 07:55

Pointy i saw your thread about the wind - apart from almost visiting the wizard are you having a nice holiday?

Killa, glad it made you feel better! Knowing that it made you feel better makes me feel better about it! I'm only a lb up today and i had had half a cup of coffee first so not tooooo damaging hopefully ;) Next time, ONE piece of pizza!!

Got leftover veg- packed lasagne for lunch today so should be good, and will probably get some salad for the side. Need to kick this into shape!

Plus side, DHs diet is going well!

PointyBirds · 06/08/2015 08:12

TiredAss Grin Posting on MN got me through that night. The holiday has been really lovely in general. The caravan is pretty spacious and solid as caravans go, it just didn't feel very solid that first night...
