Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

Haha, 9 stone 12.5, not 99 stone, that really would be a bad week!

Xoticdreamz · 19/07/2015 10:48

It will most likely be your period medium . I always put on a few pounds around that time . This week has to be a really really strict one for me . Must also go to the gym .
Holiday is 11 days away , crept up quickly .

lastqueenofscotland · 19/07/2015 21:14

Plateaued this week really didn't try as hard as I could have going to really push myself next week

Hi all

Lastqueen you can do it! Mind you from what you've posted it sounds like you've been doing ok.

I had a good weekend, walked 20kms, beautiful weather here, cold as anything (-5) last night, but lovely sunny days. Weighed myself this morning and was bang on 59kg! Only another 4kg (9lbs) to go. Which sounds quite a lot in lbs ...

lastqueenofscotland · 20/07/2015 20:38

Actually done well today
Baked potato
A home made bean burger (beans/salsa/breadcrumbs/herbs in a blender and dry grilled) with a hugeeee salad for dinner. I love food like this and when I eat meals like this always wish I ate more like it

KillashandraRee · 21/07/2015 06:56

That does sound really nice lastqueen.
Well done everyone on weight loss and exercise. I'm failing to do any exercise at the moment I really need to get out for both myself and to walk the dog more. I do beach trips daily with the kids and dog but it's not fast walking that we both would benefit from.

I had a terrible weekend with two nights out, pizza, alcohol and somehow have managed to get down to 10st 1.75 this morning so another lb which I'm happy with, plus I'm now within my healthy BMI for the first time in years (by 0.25lb but I'll take it Grin)

I have seen a little change in my clothes but not as much as I'd hoped. I think exercise is the key for me now as my body shape is so different after two kids. Am going to check out the shred soon but hampered slightly by workmen all over the house.

Good luck everyone for today

TiredAssShowgirl · 21/07/2015 07:59

Morning all! how are we all this sunny day Smile

Well done Killa, Banging and Arch :) Medium, it is pretty much certainly your period!

I've not been doing fantastically tbh, a few good days, a few bad ones! Went over my calories a fair few times last week, but had a few good ones. 9 st 6 so no real movement downwards but hanging on around that mark, and it does put me in my uni range which is good!

Really need to start exercising... At some point...

TiredAssShowgirl · 21/07/2015 09:54

And, we've been doing this 5 weeks, and have lost 9 lb, and I'm the lowest I've been in 6 years despite trying for years - so actually, doing pretty damn well.

There is my NSV for today!

PointyBirds · 21/07/2015 13:53

Oops, this thread dropped off my threads I'm on. Probably because I've not had the best few days so I've been hiding Blush. Weighed at the gym this morning at 10st2 so no damage done luckily but frustrated that I'm so close to 10st and getting stuck again.

My NSV is that I ran for 3K on the treadmill without stopping to walk for a bit, and did 4K in total. Nothing compared to some of the runners on this thread, but it was the first time I set off and wasn't having to push myself to get to a certain point then I could walk. I only meant to get to 2K then stop for a break, but I got there and thought, you know, I think I could keep going to 3K, so I did :)

PointyBirds · 21/07/2015 13:55

Well done TiredAssShowgirl, lowest for 6 years is brilliant :)

PointyBirds · 21/07/2015 13:56

And well done Killashandra - a healthy BMI is a great milestone to hit.

DrexelG · 21/07/2015 21:02

Hi girls, had a wonderful weekend away at the hen do. Didn't booze or anything but still had a great time. Since having that bout of food poisoning last week I have lost 7 lbs. Soooo I'm going to start a new diet as I think that's the kick start I needed. I'm trying out the Terriann 123 diet. It has such wonderful reviews and seems easy to follow. So will see how I get on and report back. Hope that you are all okay x

Mediumred · 22/07/2015 18:08

Ooh, Drexel!! A dry hen do! Blimey, you did really well and that's great about your loss. It's horrid being poorly but it's now like you've turned it into something positive.

Really done killa on the BMI, and that's great TiredAss, being as thin as you were in uni, and well done on the treadmill, pointy!!!

I had a sneaky mid-week weigh and you were all right, I'm back to 9 stone 9.5 so lost almost all my period pounds! However, I've got a bit of a chest cold so not exercising. I'd ordered a chicken wrap when I was out with my friend at lunch but unfortunately (but deliciously) the chicken was dipped in breadcrumbs and deep-fried! Oops!

lastqueenofscotland · 22/07/2015 21:55

Glad to hear everyone's going well. I've plateaued totally but I wore a dress I wore 3 weeks ago and it was noticeably looser so hopefully that's something?!

EllaBella1 · 23/07/2015 18:10

Just back from girly holiday where I consumed lots of booze and ate badly. Only gained 0.5lbs! Back to the healthy living foR me!!

Archduke · 24/07/2015 23:58

Hi everyone, our posting rate seems to have slowed down significantly, is that because we're all weak from hunger or are we bored?

I've been doing the same old juicing now for 6 weeks, am slowly losing weight, would lose more if I upped my exercise, I took my trainers into work this week fully intending to take my 30 mins lunch walking along the beach (I work right by it) or going for walking meetings but totally failed on both counts.

I have been mainly off the booze and thought I'd lost the taste for it but got home last night and drank almost a whole bottle (mil helped out with a glass). Am Blush. Totally took me by surprise. Feel a bit sick this morning.

Will take the dawg for a long walk this morning to clear my head, wet and cold here and blowing a gale so will be invigorating.

Well done lastqueen on loose dress and Ella, a 0.5lb gain is tiny if you've been living it up.

KillashandraRee · 25/07/2015 07:12

Medium phew! Great to have lost that pesky period bloat.

Lastqueen definitely go by clothing as well as weight. I often find I seem to plateau at a weight for a while but over that period people all comment that I look thinner. It's as if my body spends time showing the weight loss before it moves on IYSWIM?

Ella to only gain 0.5lbs is great after a holiday well done.

Archduke slow consistent weight loss is good. I think a bit of a blow out now and again is ok, and I have to confess to rather too much wine the last two nights. Just too tired and stressed to make the right decisions.

However I seem to be losing weight rather than putting it on, even with my not so good days so I'm pretty pleased. 10st today so have lost 8lbs and so close to being 9st something! Only fly in the ointment is I'm not entirely sure I trust my scales as they sometimes give different readings so I have to weigh a few times to check and take the average! Too scared to buy new in case they put me back at 10.8 Wink

PointyBirds · 25/07/2015 10:43

Well done on hitting 10st Killashandra :)

I know I haven't been on it as much this last week. It's been more back of my mind rather than considering every mouthful. I still don't really trust my scales and I haven't been to the gym for the last few days to weigh on the scales there so it doesn't feel like I have much to report so haven't posted.

My scales are wobbling slowly towards 10st though so feeling ok in general. Bit of a test this weekend with a meal out tonight and a roast tomorrow, but I'll try to get back into it next week and hopefully have more to post about!

Xoticdreamz · 25/07/2015 12:09

Everyone seems to be going steady and still losing . Doing amazing !
The scales are pretty stuck at 8:10 for me . Hoping to get that down this week .

MegBusset · 25/07/2015 18:32

Hello everyone! Am back from a wonderful week in Wales, did loads of walking but also had ice cream, chips and wine every day so expecting to have gained a bit! Back on the healthy stuff tomorrow, after enjoying an end-of-holiday curry with DH tonight as we have no food in the house!

Will report back tomorrow with the weight news!!

DrexelG · 25/07/2015 18:36

Omg this new diet that I am on is seriouly hard work! It's protein based with a massive 500g of it to be consumed per day. I'm seriously struggling as cannot eat alot in one sitting. It encourages you to eat 6 times a day so that you are never hungry. This diet dowes work! However I think it is devised for people who need to loas alot of weight like over 3 stone. I'm seriously considering just going back to soups, salads and excercise as I just feel sick and lethargic with this. What do you ladies think?

TiredAssShowgirl · 26/07/2015 10:10

Morning gang!

Drexel, go back to proper eating and exercise - fad diets will just crash and burn, especially if it's making you so miserable already!

Meg, welcome back, glad you had fun!

Pointy (and now, Killa) - you really need functional scales! Well done on the loss Killa, and the looser dress Queen, very satisfying!

Arch i did the same thing yesterday - i mean, i drink other times but never at home - sank a bottle of wine with a (very) little help from DH!

I think the reason I'm not posting more is I'm using my bloody phone and it HATES me. Deleted this message 4 times now. Grump. Also, been hiding the last few days, we self carered an event and massively overcatered so we've been frantically eating all the food. So much food.

Had got down to 9 st 4 (and threw myself a a little party, that IS my uni weight), but now at 9 at 8 - however, we've eaten most of the food so it should be fine once I'm back at work.

However, did my measurements yesterday and while still much bigger than they should be, I've lost 2 inches from my waist, and 1 each from hips and tummy - fairly chuffed with that

MegBusset · 26/07/2015 12:30

I agree, fad diets don't work as they're impossible to stick to long-term. It's very boring but eating less and healthier, and doing exercise really does work!

Weight this morning: 9st 9.5lb, so a good 3lb put on in my holiday week, but I enjoyed every mouthful:) back to being healthy today so hoping to shift it in a week or so.

Mediumred · 26/07/2015 18:50

Umm, another one not really digging the fad diet, Drexel, especially as you're finding it tough, how's the sugar high/lows though? Guess a high protein thing might help with that?

TiredAss! That's great re the measurements, wish I'd measured at the outset!

Aww, meg, I don't think 3lbs is bad for a fun-filled holiday week! If I only put on that during mine I'll be v pleased!!

I weighed myself for my proper weekly weigh-in ydy. I'd lost all my period pounds and an extra one too! Now down to 9 stone 8.5! Woohoo. It's a week til my hol and it would be nice to be 9 stone 7 but I've still got my chest cold so holding off the cardio. Did do a bit of weights/floor stuff at the gym.

Have a great week everyone!

MegBusset · 27/07/2015 08:47

Well done Mediumred!

My day yesterday was good:
Porridge
Quorn roll and salad
Apple and carrot snacks
Lentil and chick pea soup with a roll

Think I was still full from Saturday's curry! Got up and Shredded this morning as I'm off work till Wednesday. Weighed in at 9st 8lb this morning.
