Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

I weigh myself every day. Not sure whether that's a good thing and if I'mmmeant to be doing it? I just find that I'm so tired all the time I just eat sugary foods for quick energy until the next slump. It's like a vicious circle.
Anyone else do this too?

Xoticdreamz · 08/07/2015 17:56

Well done queen !
I was 8 stone 10 this morning , still pre period and overdue but not preggers !
Currently on a 4 day trip with my bestie and our two youngest in Blackpool . Going to relax for two days as the ' proper ' bikini wearing holiday is not till the 30 th ... I so hope I can get to my target !

lastqueenofscotland · 08/07/2015 22:12

I have had a big dinner... But thanks to the tube strike am HAVING to run/walk more than normal even by my standards so hopefully no damage done. And hey dinner was delicious so...

Scrap that hopped on the scales and in the course of the whole day I've crept up half a pound after dinner and everything. Thank you whoever invented running as a pastime!!!!

Arghh! Queen, everyone knows you can't trust an evening weigh-in! Step away from the scales!!! You're doing great!

Drexel, I don't know if weighing everyday is really that great, it fluctuates so much it's hard to see any overall trend and, yes, you poor thing,it's v hard to resist a sugary pick-me-up when you're knackered!! Don't be hard on yourself.

Good luck for tomorrow everyone!

Mediumred · 08/07/2015 23:00

Umm, Drexel, dunno, more protein-based stuff - a small lump of cheese, a boiled egg or a chicken drumstick - might help with those sugar highs/lows. Hopefully someone else will have some ideas. Take care

MegBusset · 08/07/2015 23:08

I never weigh in the evening, it's fatal! Always first thing in the morning. I knew I shouldn't do it every day but it's the habit of a lifetime.

Anyway today:
Weight 9st 7.5lb
Porridge
Veg soup and salad
Veg stir fry
Apple and Satsuma
Shred level 2!

lastqueenofscotland · 09/07/2015 06:56

Hopped on the scales this morning instead ;) 9.12! So another lb! I had a crap day food wise yesterday as well must be all the running :)

Have a good day guys :)

Thanks guys, yes that's what a friend of mine said who's a personal trainer. To eat hard boiled eggs to fill up. Have to do something as being good than letting myself down by eating sugar. It's my damn thyroid making me tired even when I wake up lol. I know I need to go for bloods to see what's going on. Maybe I need my meds upped again?

Archduke · 09/07/2015 08:23

Gooooood morning everyone!

I weighed myself yesterday and I was 59.9kg (9st 4lbish) I was so happy I now can't bear to weigh myself again in case I've gone up.

I'm still green juicing but yesterday had a salmon portion and roast veg couscous for dinner - no idea of calories. We had a friend round so I had 2 glasses of wine and some haribo type sweeties.

Tonight I have 2 other chums round so will try to eat beforehand so I don't eat vast amounts of the cheese platter I'll be making - or perhaps I shouldn't eat beforehand and just eat cheese and veggies?

Anyway enough about me . . .

Drexel I would fo sho go to the docs, keep an eye on things, it sounds pretty crap to be feeling tired even when you first awake.

Have a tip top day everyone, picture the inner slim you just bursting to get out :)

PointyBirds · 09/07/2015 14:26

I'm feeling great too - 65.2kg (about 10st 3lbs) at the gym this morning and had a lovely swim, almost had the pool to myself.

Feeling some big differences too, I did my belt up two whole notches tighter this morning :)

How did you handle the cheese platter Archduke? I'd be torn between eating beforehand so that I wasn't starving and tempted to go crazy on the cheese, and not eating so that I could be social and eat with my friends.

Well done runners, swimmers and juicers :)

I haven't really felt hungry yet, but the challenge will come when I'm on holiday the week after next. Can I let my hair down a little without going mad on wine, chips and ice cream for a week? And if I do put a couple of lbs on from not Shredding and eating more, can I pull it straight back after my hols without it taking another three weeks?

Anyway... pretty good today...
Weight 9st 7.5 same as yesterday
Breakfast porridge
Lunch tomato and lentil soup
Snack Apple, Satsuma and a couple of oat cakes
Dinner Sainsbury's low cal fish pie, huge pile of veg
Did the Shred before dinner and now thinking about bed!

lastqueenofscotland · 09/07/2015 22:45

Meg I plan to let my hair down on holiday. They are a real foodie family we are staying with and they insist on cooking and I'd have to have a seperate meal for me otherwise and I don't want to be that person! Just going to let myself enjoy the 5 days I'm away and keep up the running and just not have seconds! I'll try to keep to skipping breakfast tho as I never have it unless I've bought bagels and it's just 3/400 calories I won't be hungry for

Meg and Lastqueen, def loosen up on holiday. Have fun and enjoy it, if you put on a couple of lbs it's no biggie, just get back on the wagon on your return - although I find that quite tricky if that 'switch' has been flicked to off in my head. A couple of years ago I lost heaps of weight in the run up to Christmas (summertime over here) then went on my summer holidays (NYE and after) totally lost the plot with food and booze put all the weight back on and then just kept eating for the rest of the year.

Anyway you may well have more self control Blush.

Here's fun have you tried this? I am apparently the same weight as someone from China.

EllaBella1 · 10/07/2015 08:21

Morning ladies!! So took a day off running on Wednesday and just done my weights. Yesterday ran 3 miles and night off the weights. Back to both tonight! After being soooo good my diet fell apart last night when the husband came home with a Kfc!! He had a bad day at work and decided we have both been very good lately. I ate it obviously but will need to do some extra running tonight!! Weigh in tomorrow gulp!

lastqueenofscotland · 10/07/2015 08:30

Arch you're right you have to eat what 3500 EXTRA calories to gain a lb if I remember correctly? I'd have to do some pretty mad eating to put lots on in 5 nights.

I did that quiz apparently I'm most like someone from Senegal!

Morning gang! Beena really shitty fre days, working late, been moved off of my client and went out for drinks last night with a colleague transitioning to friend who was so hammered i spent an hour trying to find him a cab home (fucking tube strikes!)

Went phenomenally over calories yesterday, had my nice lunch, also had pudding and we shared a bottle of wine but with drinks et al, wound up at 2500 cal ShockBlush

Not weighed since monday, was 9 st 7 (had gone back up to 9 st 9 again then back down) - I'm going to weigh tomorrow then Monday, hopefully making some moves down.

Ella, one KFC is not going to hurt, you're doing so well, you need to be able to maintain a normal life with weigh loss otherwise you'll not maintain! Same to Meg and Queen - if you can't enjoy yourself on holiday it will be a pretty miserable existence!

PointyBirds · 10/07/2015 09:44

That BBC thing is really interesting. First to see France way down on the list - I guess French women really don't get fat! And also, we're looking into the possibility that we may be moving to Singapore next year and I've been reading forums about life out there - one thing I've read is that you walk into a clothes shop there and they give you the XXL sizes, bit depressing but makes sense when you see where Singapore is on that list.

PointyBirds · 10/07/2015 09:48

I'm like someone in Myanmar apparently.

9 st 10. Fucking gutted. I had one meal out this week, and have stayed under 1000 cals all week outside of that. And have put on 3 lb apparently.

Welwe'll see where we are on Monday.
