Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

5 mile hill race with club tonight... I came last but a fair chunk of people didn't finish so feel less terrible about that!
Went to pub after and just had a sparkling water

Well done pointy 9lbs in 2 weeks is brilliant, welcome to newbies.

I am staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarving, it's 10.40am and so far I've eaten nowt. Yet again I have green sludge juice for breakfast/lunch and will have a sensible dinner, although it's book club later so will probably get pissed and eat loads of cheese.

Good news (for me) is that I've just booked tix to come back to the UK for a visit in Sept. Am utterly completely excited - all my family and old chums are still there, it also gives me the perfect motivation to lose the final 10lbs. Look fabulous on arrival and then eat solidly for 2 weeks and not give a toss Grin

It's my first time back in 3 years so don't want too many horrified looks from family and friends when they see me.

Hi ladies so I'm on my Bootea detox to help this weight loss or get me more focussed. No running last night as it was rest night but did some weights. My arms are flabby Hmm need to sort this out. I have a 6 mile run tonight so might try and move my arms more!! Not weighing myself until the weekend!

Xoticdreamz · 01/07/2015 09:23

Well done pointy / queen and everyone else.
I'm down to 8stone 8lb , I can notice a difference . I think that's 8lb s lost with another 4lb to go . I do need to go to the gym to tone up my bum and thighs been avoiding it this week .
Thats great about the trip arch .

obrigada · 01/07/2015 10:35

Hi ladies, can I join. Weighed in at 11st 7lb last night and really want to lose a stone. Am not going to follow any particular diet but have decided to embark on "no junk July" Grin, going to drink plenty of water and walk a minimum of 3 nights per week.

houseHuntinginmanchester · 01/07/2015 11:02

Hello all! Did anyone notice I had dissapeared Grin

I am going to weigh in today Shock for the first time since joining the thread.

I've been ok for the past few days. Dh has been buying me all kinds of lovely gu desserts and cupcakes from the local cake shop to cheer me up family fucking dramas but I've been really good and passing them off to the dds Grin

Will report back later on my weight!

Xoticdreamz · 01/07/2015 12:17

Good luck house hunting .

Mediumred · 01/07/2015 13:01

Ooh!! Well done to the runners, shredders and losers and welcome to the newbies.

I went out last night and didn't go completely mad. Had lots of wine and tapas but held back on the v carby stuff, also I normally feel so hungover after drinking that I just mainline carbs but today I had a taster session with a personal trainer (trying to sort my core out - hoping I might get a flat tum one day!) and then a HIIT class. Just had avocado, egg, tomato and chicken salad for lunch and will have sushi for tea.

Good luck, househunting, let us know how you get on.

houseHuntinginmanchester · 01/07/2015 16:44

Down two pounds !!!

Woooooo I'm happy Grin ... Just teetering on the edge of 10 stones now, next week I shall be 9 something !

PointyBirds · 01/07/2015 17:13

Brilliant, well done house! The nines are in reach :)

I've just been looking in the cupboards for some inspiration for dinner but coming up short. I haven't been able to face the walk to the shops in this heat. Unfortunately the usual solution to this situation is takeaway Grin, must try to think of a vaguely healthful alternative...

A bikini I ordered the other day arrived today. It looks fab, even if I do say so myself Wink. I hope this weather makes a return when we're on the beach in Wales in a month or so, and hopefully I'll be in the nines by then too!

houseHuntinginmanchester · 01/07/2015 22:00

Thanks pointy xSmile

Oooer bikini shopping Envy I could do with a bikini and a huge woman sized ice bucket right now !

MegBusset · 01/07/2015 22:23

I'm going to Wales in a couple of weeks. Knowing my luck I'll be packing fleeces and waterproofs rather than my bikini!

That's great going, Househunting :)

Day three for me:
9st 10.25lb this morning (the first few lbs come off easily - it's the last half stone that's the challenge!)

Breakfast: porridge
Lunch: sweetcorn chowder and a small bit of baguette with some Quorn ham in
Dinner: falafel in pitta with hummus and lots of salad
Snack: apple

A very hot Shred after dinner!

Archduke · 01/07/2015 23:04

Hi all

Weighed in this morning and I'm bang on 60kgs! I am STOKED!

Will have to look up what that is in stones but it's over 5kgs less than when I started this nonsense Smile

Archduke · 01/07/2015 23:06

Well done HouseHunting, xotic and others great progress all round.

Lastqueen I'm in Australia, been here for almost 10 yrs.

TurnOverTheTv · 01/07/2015 23:09

Well done everyone! I've had to get up for an ice pop! We've had the most crazy storms but it's not shifted the heat at all

lastqueenofscotland · 02/07/2015 13:09

This heat is awful.

Only had 3 falafel today as work BBQ later. Going to try and be good there tho and stick to the salads

It's cooled off a bit where I am. Still warm though - I've been doing destructo-DIY (my favourite kind) and got hot so stripped off to my underwear. Which was interesting when I was sitting on the stairs with a screwdriver and the postman came to the door (we have patterned/frosted glass in the front door). I froze and prayed he didn't have a parcel to deliver Grin

Haven't had lunch yet but tummy is rumbling (- my favourite food is gruffalo crumbling - oh, that doesn't quite work) What to have, what to have...

EllaBella1 · 02/07/2015 17:51

Hi all! So had a business lunch today and had to have 3 courses Angry company say we need to or our clients want take all the courses. So had soup then risotto (very creamy so only ate half) and cheese and crackers (only ate 3). Skipped brekkie and having homemade soup for dinner. I might be able to save this one calorie wise!

Exercise is a run tonight then some weights when I get back in front of the tv!

Im feeling positive this week! I shall blitz theeee flab!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well and diy in underwear sounds interesting haha!!

TiredAssShowgirl · 02/07/2015 19:39

Ella, i love a work lunch - hate that all sense of control goes out the window with it though! I've got a big one next week, a reward lunch for dealing with a really awful situation - I'm kind of dreading it as i am making the most of it when it comes!

its cooled down a lot here too , wearing a silly summer dress and am fairly nippy! Only managed to have half a sandwich today nabbed from a meeting room, didn't get out of the office at all except to smoke What did you have for lunch then Pointy? Loving the destructo-DIY

Was 9 st 8 today this which was good, 2 off, and back to what i was before Blur-gate weekend before last - hoping to break through that and keep going! And keep it off.

MegBusset · 02/07/2015 22:42

Eating out is always a disaster for me. I find it really easy to eat several days' worth of calories in one sitting. Luckily with two small DC I don't get out much Grin

Anyway, day four for me:
Weight: 9st 10.5
Breakfast: porridge
Lunch: small bit of baguette with quorn ham. Salad
Dinner: quiche, new potatoes, salad
Snack: apple
Shred after dinner

Random 0.25lb gain since yesterday but that's the perils of weighing daily! Probably water as I drank loads overnight, it's so very hot. I'm not that hungry at the moment because of the heat.

PointyBirds · 03/07/2015 12:08

Disaster! The scales at the gym that tell me nice things are gone! I'm going to have to rely on my wobbly scales at home that put me at a pound or two heavier, dammit. Grin

According to my rubbish wobbly scales I'm wobbling somewhere around 10 and a half, which isn't really progress, but I'm still happy with it.

Today's menu is porridge and blueberries for breakfast, baked egg and spinach, with a slice of toast, for lunch and fajitas for dinner with the family. If I stick to just one fajita I think that'll be about right. I'll probably snack on blueberries through the day. I seem to have picked up a serious blueberry addiction.
