Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

Today had not been amazing
Toast
Pain au choc and cake as a bday in the office!
Jacket potato

Will probably stop now as a bit full

Stopping when full is good :) I never used to be able to do that, but I'm getting better.

I'm making pizza for dinner, so I'm going to make mine small and roll it thin, and try to think of some good toppings to make it vaguely nutritious, maybe spinach or something, hmmm...

Happy birthday tired !
I think you are right house , I do weigh to often , it's habit . Get up , pee then weigh .
However didn't this morning .
Have had a pretty good day food wise , plenty salads and a lovely sweet potato with broccoli and cheese sauce .

houseHuntinginmanchester · 27/06/2015 01:05

Happy birthday tired! I'm abit late to the party, sorry Thanks

A good day eating wise. Had one boiled egg for breakfast, skipped lunch again, snacked on dates and blueberries and had a chicken wrap with a few chips for dinner.

I definitely feel a lot slimmer but not weighing yet! Wink I did hide from the dds this morning to measure my hips and waist though... Lost an inch on both! Woooo! Hips down to 35 and waist to 27inches. I asked dh if he could tell and he said let me have a feel and then I'll be able to tell properly Grin

Back to fasting tomorrow so no feels for dh during fasting hours either poor deprived guy Wink

Archduke · 27/06/2015 08:13

GOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE! And happy birthday Tired (are you really a showgirl? I do hope so, I picture you at a laptop with one of those feather headdresses on).

I went on a bit of a bender last night. We had a school quiz night and our school is really boozy*! We all took along platters of food (lovely cheese mmmmmm) and so there was masses of food and buckets of wine. I massively indulged so feeling a bit average today. Not as bad as dh though as he was out dancing until 2.30am with the school parents - I made the boring sensible decision to get home by 11.30 and send the babysitter away.

No food yet today (it's now 4.30pm) I can't face any blended sludge so am waiting for dinner - home made pizzas tonight. Will do mine with heaps of veg. I'm hoping my meal of cheese and wine won't stack on the lard too much so am being restrained today.

  • Are UK schools like that? I used to teach in a UK primary which was very restrained. These Aussies schools are mental. Good fun.

Have a good day everyone.

2lbs down on last sat and I've not been to the loo today!

Have a great weekend everyone

Ran 4.5k this morning. VERY hot! Not a patch on lastqueens' huge runs but better than nowt. Was in the habit of running several times a week but lost my mojo in April and I'm trying hard to get it back now.

Had Chinese last night which was delish. Today is BBQ later so lots of meat and salad but no carbs for me (except maybe one cider...). Have a good day, all!

sassytheFIRST · 27/06/2015 09:48

Archduke - our primary is! It was Elvis night last night, I didn't go to this one but judging by the pics on fb there will be a few sore heads this morning!

TiredAssShowgirl · 27/06/2015 10:41

Morning all, thanks for the birthday wishes Smile Had a lovely day, not too bad in tern of food either - almond croissant, one cupcake, and a Byron burger and 1/2 portion of chips (and rum!)

Was pleased with myself and DH though - no starters, shared a chips and no sides or pudding, which is progress on both our parts!

Arch, you bet your ass I'm a showgirl! Except they had to ask me to leave Vegas cos i was stealing the show from the main acts.... Less a showgirl, more a stage Queen Wink

Its also a RuPauls drag race quote (If you haven't, watch it!!)

Sassy, it's a hell of a lot more than i have run, EVER!

Really glad the scales are moving in the right way now queen! I think sometimes or can just take a little while for your body to catch up!

Well done on your inches house, an inch is great! Your willpower is much better than mine, i can't not weigh - but at 9 st 8 today which was a pleasent surprise!

TurnOverTheTv · 27/06/2015 12:06

Good morning everyone :-) not too bad yesterday till I cracked open the red wine at 9pm and ended up eating oatcakes and Stilton. I'm sure it could have been worse
Off to Newcastle for the night and not sure where I'm eating yet so not sure how that is going to go down!
Have a lovely day everyone

EllaBella1 · 27/06/2015 16:07

Down to 78kg today. Lowest weight so far. I was at 80.3 kg 3 weeks ago so I'm feeling pretty chuffed today. It's really motivated me to keep going and get to my 66kg goal! It's taken me a year to get from 94.3 kg but I'm confident I can hit my 66kg ! Wooo!!!

lastqueenofscotland · 28/06/2015 07:15

Yesterday was AWFUL but I'm ok with that you need a day off from time to time!

Back on it today :)

Mornin ladies! I'd like to join in please :-) Here are my stats:

SW: 60.1kg
CW: 58.8kg
GW: 54.5kg

I'm 5"4, and the 55kg region would be ideal for me. For once I'd like to get there and maintain it too (never to see numbers above 55.9 again would be amazing!), instead of weighing 59-61kg, which I usually seem to do. Have realised that having hit 40, the weight comes on very quickly and is far more difficult to get rid of. I'm UK clothsize 10/12. This small drop would make me comfortably 10.

The drop above I've managed with a combo of juicing/smoothies/mfp, and plan to continue with a mix of that.

Will try to go very low cal (lots of juice replacing food) the start of the week as we'll be visiting relatives the latter part of the week, so much of what I eat will be out of my control then.

Xoticdreamz · 28/06/2015 07:49

Hi , weighed in at 8 stone 11lb today .
Looked back to last week and I was 8 stone 13 , so I did lose 2 lb but it's just annoying that I had managed to get to 8 :10 then put it on .
Anyway , still keeping at it .
Hope you are all having a good Sunday , from bring lovely sunshine yesterday (was working 13 hour shift) to being pouring with rain today when I'm off .

Xoticdreamz · 28/06/2015 07:50

And welcome buzzbee.

firefly78 · 28/06/2015 08:17

can i join please. im stuck at 10 stone and am 5 ft 2. did get down to 9st 3 two years ago using slimming world so i know i can do it. not exercising at the moment due to injury. and am sick to death of salad! need some inspiring easy lunch ideas that i can take to work.

Mediumred · 28/06/2015 10:18

Hi to firefly and buzz bee!

No time to post ydy but I'd lost another pound over the week, now down to 9st10! Really feeling thinner, went to HIIT class but ruined it all last night by drinking my own body weight! Feeling bleugh now.

Aww Xotic, don't worry, two pounds in the week is v good.

And belated birthday greetings to Tired, you were v good!!

lastqueenofscotland · 28/06/2015 10:30

All new people welcome! I'm finding this such a friendly place :)

houseHuntinginmanchester · 28/06/2015 11:11

Welcome all newbies and well done to the losers Grin (the only place where a loser is celebrated eh)

Take away last night, Turkish food and it was delicious. I didn't have any bread and had a smaller than usual portion but did have chips. However I am fasting today and really wish I'd eaten more of it Grin

Pancakes for breakfast for the dds ... oh the smell of that vanilla sugar !

PointyBirds · 28/06/2015 16:24

Mmmm, pancakes...

Just back from the gym where I was running a bit and then punching a bit :) And also weighing in at 66.6kg, so I've stalled somewhat. But that's not very surprising as 10 and a half stone seems to be my default weight. Going to keep at it and see if I can push through and make a bit more progress.

They've found my car (hooray!) so once I get it back after whatever repairs are needed I should be able to be a bit more regular at the gym, which will help.

Hello to our two insect-y new people (firefly and buzzbee - geddit...? Ah, don't mind me...)

TiredAssShowgirl · 28/06/2015 16:41

Welcome Firefly and Buzzbee!

Yesterday wasn't great, had 'birthday breakfast' which is basically 'black pudding til you fall over', and DH brought home a tub of salted caramel ice cream which i dealt with and carbonara for dinner - up to 9 st 11 this am Sad Just feel huge.

Plus side, I'm not at all hungry today so all I've had is yoghurt and tinned peaches.

Great news they found your car Pointy!

firefly78 · 28/06/2015 16:42

Grin i really need some lunch ideas that i can take to work. i have cous cous i have feta cheese i have tomatoes i have cucumber. i have ham or prawns?? not sure how healthy all that is but twice last week i took a boring salad to work and didn't eat it!

TiredAssShowgirl · 28/06/2015 17:31

I'm a bit fan of deconstructed sushi (I'm a bit obsessed by sushi atm) - a bit of leftover white rice, a loas of slided cucumber, and fish sticks/smoked salmon scraps/crabmeat/prawns/tofu, and sometimes some nori strips, and a dash of soy sauce.

A vaguely interesting lunch is important or you'll crash and burn ime! Small portion of stuff you really like, and a shitload of lettuce amd alternate mouthfuls Wink

From what you have, I'd do 3 lunches, tomato couscous with cucumber and feta, prawn couscous with cucumber and ham, cucumber and tomato snack box (which is plenty for lunch and takes longer to eat with a fork so psychologically makes you fuller.

firefly78 · 28/06/2015 18:29

whats a good way to make cous cous so its not too bland!!

PointyBirds · 28/06/2015 19:18

I make some nice couscous by soaking dried tomatoes in boiling water then using the water to make the couscous, and chopping up the tomatoes and adding them with some basil when the couscous is all fluffy.
