Have recently let half a stone creep on (reckon due to the pill) and want to lose it over the next 6 weeks!
No drastic diet plan as such as want to keep it off! Anyone want to join me in my six week journey???Grin

Yesterday
Breakfast: atkins bar
Lunch: bean & cheese wrap, soya crisps
Snack: apple
Dinner: prawn & pasta salad with extra vegetables (also grazed on more veg in the evening which I regretted as I wasn't really hungry and it made me feel stuffed)
Water, coffee, tea, cocoa and a frappuchino light

Didn't achieve my aim of "proper exercise" as I got stuck at work, but managed the caffeine and alcohol.

Weighed myself today and apparently I'm 10st exactly! I suspect some of the 2lb loss will be down to dehydration (I have also gone up to 28% fat Blush) but so long as I can stay at 10st for next week's weigh in I'll be happy with that.

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 18/04/2015 18:52

Forgot my pudding yesterday - Turkish delight muller light (yum!)

readyforsunshine · 18/04/2015 22:27

Hope you're ok twinkle, don't let a couple of bad days get you down, just get back on track Asap & drink lots of water to help deal with the bad stuff.
2lb loss is great penguin, & even if it is water it still shows & you'll feel it in your clothes.
Elf Bircher muesli is overnight oats. Just soak in fridge & add anything you like. I find it a really comforting & filling bfast & good to take with you on a busy morning. I soak in a mix of coconut water & milk, add banana, grated carrot or Apple, nuts, seeds, frozen berries, cinnamon, Greek yog, whatever you fancy really. It's handy to make in a jam jar then ready to go in the morning.
Had a good day except 2 glasses of wine & two sneaky slithers of leftover Apple tart which I would have been better off enjoying properly on a plate as 1 small portion instead of trying to pretend I wasn't really having it!

Terrible day yesterday!! Including (to name but a few) chocolate croissant, gin cocktails, prosecco, pavlova, a magnum.....

Twinklestar2 · 19/04/2015 09:49

I did ok yesterday but picked rather than proper meals which is never good.

Have planned today's menu:

Shredded wheat and skimmed milk
Eggs and sandwich thins
Beefy roast dinner

And will get out for a run.

Thanks for asking after me ready Smile

Well done on all the losses so far! I'm stepping on the scales tomorrow morning....Shock

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 19/04/2015 11:15

Yesterday was so bad that I can't even bring myself to type what I ate.. I have a horrible cold and just stuffed my face with pretty much anything in the hope that it would make me feel better (it didn't Sad).

Today is my birthday and I am not going to deny myself but I will:

  • eat healthy meals & not graze or binge
  • drink lots of water
  • avoid sugar & artificial sweeteners (apart from birthday cake and strepsils!)
Twinklestar2 · 19/04/2015 13:58

Happy birthday!!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/04/2015 19:59

Hmm not a great day. After being with the dc all day yesterday on my own (150 mile round trip to visit my sister) dh was ill today. Still is. So he's been in bed all day and I've been stressed.

Blueberries Greek yoghurt and honey
El mexicana Blush
Fresh filled pasta with cheese on top
One of the dc's mini hollow chocolate eggs

Oink.

Twinklestar2 · 19/04/2015 21:29

I've had quite a good food day and I went for a 3-mile run Smile

Menu

Shredded wheat and skimmed milk

Beef roast dinner for lunch

Dinner was a couple of crumpets and a scrambled egg

I snacked on a biscuit and a pot of sugar free jelly.

Joycey29 · 19/04/2015 22:34

Good going everyone!

Had a stressy weekend and ended up eating a Thai that wasn't really worth it - frustrating!
Bbq was ok but too much bubble and squeak!
Work tomorrow so that will help stop my snacking.
Good luck to anyone weighing in tomorrow
Thanks

Weigh in this morning and I haven't lost a single sodding pound! Considering I ran over 16km that is shameful!

New week, new start Grin

Zeldie · 20/04/2015 07:04

I use healthy diet, avoid all junk or processed foods, vegetables, lean meat, fish , beans, berries, green tea with lemon, nuts etc.. Exercise regularly, aerobic and weight training. Determination and dedication is the key.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/04/2015 07:21

I'm going to an ice cream parlour today Blush

bangersmashandbeans · 20/04/2015 08:02

Zeldie I think all of us here know that would give us the results we want but this thread is a little bit more about real life weight loss with realistic goals and a fair few treats thrown in!

Twinklestar2 · 20/04/2015 08:06

Well said Bangers!!

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 20/04/2015 09:31

Thanks Twinkle. Don't lose heart over your weigh in - the number on the scale on any particular day can be completely arbitrary ime, affected by hydration, totm, what you ate the night before.. & 16k is awesome!

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 20/04/2015 09:41

Yesterday was much better food wise, enjoyed everything and didn't overeat:

Breakfast: muesli & FF Greek yoghurt
Lunch: salmon & potato salad, nakd bar
Afternoon: 1 bite Dp's chocolate brownie, rum & diet coke
Dinner at an amazing Polish restaurant (main, desert, chilli vodka)
Lots water, tea & coffee

Still feeling rough as, so no exercise today. Will stick to my aims from yesterday though, plus no alcohol.

Twinklestar2 · 20/04/2015 10:17

Thank u penguin x

readyforsunshine · 20/04/2015 10:47

Happy belated birthday penguin!
My official weigh in day & I've lost 1 3/4 lbs, not v impressive as I was down 5 lbs earlier in the week & I usually manage to shed recently added extra weight (ie post Easter bloat) in a couple of days once I return to healthy eating. However, I feel like I've lost inches, wish I'd measured, & I'm feeling more energetic & positive. Perhaps you've lost inches twinkle?
Yesterday was good food wise, smoothie, Bircher muesli, meat & Lo carb veg but I drank lots of wine. Feel a little delicate today which I know will impact on what I eat. I KNOW I can't allow myself to do this until I've got more lbs lost or I will be back where I started, silly me!

SpottyTeacakes · 20/04/2015 11:37

Well I had two waffles with a banana and chocolate sauce mmmm. I will skip lunch. Probably....

Joycey29 · 20/04/2015 15:56

16km is awesome work! Good effort and I reckon you must have lost inches if not weight.
Maybe we should all measure afterall we want to be healthy and that isn't necessarily just weight

Good going everyone! I'm struggling today. Been good so far but been at a pretty harrowing funeral and feel drained and just want to pig out. Know it'll make me feel worse though!

Twinklestar2 · 20/04/2015 17:39

I've definitely lost inches as I'm fitting into trousers I haven't worn since before I had my son (he's 8 months old).

SpottyTeacakes · 20/04/2015 17:45

I don't think I'm losing anything anywhere but I'm sure today's eats will explain why Grin

Blueberries Greek yog honey
Two waffles one banana choc sauce
Stuffed pasta with salad and g bread
