Have recently let half a stone creep on (reckon due to the pill) and want to lose it over the next 6 weeks!
No drastic diet plan as such as want to keep it off! Anyone want to join me in my six week journey???Grin

Well done bangers, v exciting to be so close to target! Looks like it's not just me who gets derailed by the wine! It just becomes a want post alcohol, not even a hunger thing grrr! I think it's quite hard to keep focus when you don't have much to lose. For me I'm too quick to 'reward' myself, & after all, I'm only a bit overweight? Then I'm back where I started before I know it!

Twinklestar2 · 16/04/2015 23:35

DIET FAIL!!

Need 3 good days before Mondays weigh in!

SpottyTeacakes · 17/04/2015 06:34

There will be cake at work today and I'm going to have some. Skipping breakfast and having healthy lunch. It is Friday...plus I don't drink so need something Wink

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 17/04/2015 08:04

Yesterday was MUCH better. Probably about the same number of calories, but I CHOSE to have what I did, so feel a lot better about it.

Breakfast: high protein flapjack
Lunch: big salad with boiled egg & anchovies
Dinner: salmon bento meal
Lots of water, tea, coffee and cocoa (made with water, skimmed milk and no sugar or artificial sweeteners)

2 margaritas & a porn star martini Grin

Dp & I made an impromptu trip to the cocktail bar where we had our first date.. It's more of a dive than I remembered but the porn star martinis were just as good - like an alcoholic solero in a glass Grin

No booze today, no caffeine after 3, and I need to do some proper exercise...

Joycey29 · 17/04/2015 10:31

Well done Joycey!

Elfontheedge · 17/04/2015 12:38

Yesterday: breakfast - banana porridge
Lunch: tuna mayo on toast and a low fat Greek yoghurt
Dinner: chicken, beans and a few potato wedges - not great but I did weight everything to make sure I didn't eat too much!
Snacks: 2 yoghurt coated rice cakes and a biscuits (they're just so hard to resist!)
Ran 5k in the evening (admittedly rather slowly)

Elfontheedge · 17/04/2015 12:52

I've only got 400 calories left for the rest of today thanks to treating myself to lunch from m&s. Any tasty suggestions for an easy low cal dinner?

Joycey29 · 17/04/2015 14:24

Elf - you are entitled to a biscuit if you ve run 5k!
It's not about deprivation it's about healthy choices.
I run so I can have food I like (&wineWink). I like my food too much to diet!

OP posts:
Elfontheedge · 17/04/2015 14:25

Exactly. I'm trying not to worry too much about calorie counting. It's just a guide for me to control my tendency to over eat.

Joycey29 · 17/04/2015 14:27

400cal dinner....
Hmm chicken casserole made with a WW Oxtail soup as sauce( weirdly works) and loads of veg served with sweet potatoes...
Or
Eggs!
Or
Small Jacket with low fat beans
Or
2 glasses of wine ????

Joycey29 · 17/04/2015 14:28

SpottyTeacakes · 17/04/2015 14:52

I would do some kind of casserole with lentils or a big salad or stir fry Smile

Joycey29 · 17/04/2015 15:00

Good idea Spotty, stir fry sounds perfect - I may just copy

Chocolate aero cheesecake Blush (it's Friday and one of the nurses at work made it...)

Left over veg casserole (just veg with puy lentils)
Chicken skewers with couscous salad and two slices of garlic bread

Joycey29 · 17/04/2015 18:51

Everyone seems to have achieved their healthy goals whilst still living a little. Can't wait to get myself back to that point...
Today went better than expected, Bircher muesli, smoothie, ago & egg salad, Apple, piece of lemon drizzle, hot & sour soup. I really wanted wine tonight but am pleased I've managed to resist. Off for an early night with a pint of water. There's living! Need to start some exercise. Have a lovely w/e all

Elfontheedge · 17/04/2015 23:34

Dinner ended up being poached egg on toast and half a cheese toastie Smile
Breakfast: yoghurt and granola
Lunch; m&s nutty while food salad + tuna, low fat chocolate pud
Handful of DPs Doritos for a treat
No exercise today because I'm shattered!
We are off to DPs parents tomorrow for a surprise party so I'll just try not to over eat. I'll need gin to get me through!

Elfontheedge · 17/04/2015 23:35

ready what's bircher muesli?

bangersmashandbeans · 18/04/2015 05:43

Well done Joycey on the first two pounds down!
Yesterday I was doing well with dry Cheerios for breakfast, hot chocolate (full fat delicious kind) for lunch, but then got stuck on the motorway for 3 hours and arrived at a kids party stressed so had a few mini brownies and a glass of prosecco! But then did an impromptu Insanity session which was ridiculously hard so felt a little better! DH had a stressful long week at work so wanted wine and takeaway and didn't have the heart to decline but went for the healthiest option and only one small glass so not too bad.

Weekend healthy eating is so so hard for me so not sure how it's going to go!

Spotty I love that you had an impromptu cocktail night with your DP - very jealous!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/04/2015 07:35

First weigh in. I don't have digital scales so my weight looks the same. Possible I've lost 1lb. I'm gonna go with that anyway....

Twinklestar2 · 18/04/2015 08:23

Friday could've been better!

I'm not doing too well am I?!

Joycey29 · 18/04/2015 12:36

Parkrun done with kids so pleased I have done some exercise already!
Lunch - pizzaShock but will try to maintain portion control
Thinking BBQ for lunch tomorrow - suggestions????
