Needing to lose 4st+ - support thread!

Since I want somewhere to track my progress I'm gonna do it here and have it act as a support thread for anyone else who wants to join me - because it certainly feels daunting and we can use all the help we can get!

I am 5 foot nothing and post DS (almost 6 months) I weigh (as of this morning) 95.2kg which I believe is around 14.5stone, but I avoid using st and lbs as I find it triggering. I would like to be back down to my pre-baby weight of circa 80kg by BiL's wedding in June. So...

HippyJess
SW: 95.2kg
GW1: 80kg (June)
GW2: 68kg (September)
UGW: 58kg (March 2016)

Short Term Goal: Do Davina's 15 Minute Fit every day for a week, starting today. I did it, and some of the easy versions were hard :( which is why I need to keep going.

Hope someone out there will want to join me! Hoping to post once a day to keep myself on track :) now off I go to make myself an omelette and veggies for lunch!

That's good Dyrne. That's the beauty of this thread. We are all doing our own thing, with support.
Although where are you all? 👀👀👀👀 I hope no one is having problems with the weather.

Dyrne · 10/12/2015 22:25

I agree Stellar - it's nice to have a thread where people arent necessarily evangelical about their diet of choice, we all have slip ups and can support eat other.

Agree about the quiet thread - maybe people will reappear in the new year?

MFP made me laugh today - offering up a blog post suggesting "easy holiday food swaps to save calories". The first suggestion? Instead of pigs in blankets, try asparagus wrapped in prosciutto... Erm, not exactly a like-for-like swap!

Dyrne · 10/12/2015 22:26

Oops, Freudian slip? Support each other, not eat other!

pippistrelle · 12/12/2015 07:48

Ha!

I am still maintaining, and have put any thought of losing on the back burner until January. But that's fine. It's hard at this time of year, so well done to you, Dyrne, on your resolve.

Stellar67 · 13/12/2015 20:10

Pippi how are you?
I've been mostly good, keeping going at the gym. Ate an entire pizza the other night, which made me feel ill with bloat for two days. Stupid move. I hadn't eaten all day then after two glasses of fizz, I decided it wouldn't be an issue. How wrong was I.
That aside, I have done my big Christmas shop, and no extra chocolates or crisps, as they'd be eaten by me. My treats this year are bath and music related. I didn't even get any Brie! Yet, but it won't be a whole one. Maybe a mini whole one.

pippistrelle · 14/12/2015 06:45

How very restrained. I've been quite restrained too. For the first time in many years I am not planning to buy enough food to keep an army full for several days. Not so much the Christmas dinner stuff, but all the little snacky treats that you (ok, I) graze on all day long. Really kept it minimal.

And I missed out on a mince pie/mulled wine opportunity yesterday by being stuck at home with a cold/flu thing. Bleurgh.

Stellar67 · 14/12/2015 08:23

Well done. Hope you feel better soon. I too graze my way through Christmas, used to.... I must keep saying that.

I am going to the gym again this week! And avoiding a couple of parties as DH out too, so I am forfeiting to avoid canapés. Xmas Smile I don't really mind as I am a bit antisocial just now, and I don't feel too hot in a dress.

LondonHuffyPuffy · 14/12/2015 11:07

Hello all

I admire your restraint, pippi and Stellar! I have been less restrained and desperately trying to maintain and not gain any more. I'm hovering between 78kg and 80kg at the moment.

I have a new incentive though... I want to take up horse riding in the New Year (nothing fancy, just in Hyde Park) and the weight limit is 80kg. I would like to be and stay below that.

This thread is not far off being full. Will we start a new one?

Stellar67 · 14/12/2015 13:02

Horse riding sounds great huffy. Have you done it before?

Yes new thread....shall I?

.... contemplates new name and how to do it....
