Since I want somewhere to track my progress I'm gonna do it here and have it act as a support thread for anyone else who wants to join me - because it certainly feels daunting and we can use all the help we can get!

I am 5 foot nothing and post DS (almost 6 months) I weigh (as of this morning) 95.2kg which I believe is around 14.5stone, but I avoid using st and lbs as I find it triggering. I would like to be back down to my pre-baby weight of circa 80kg by BiL's wedding in June. So...

HippyJess
SW: 95.2kg
GW1: 80kg (June)
GW2: 68kg (September)
UGW: 58kg (March 2016)

Short Term Goal: Do Davina's 15 Minute Fit every day for a week, starting today. I did it, and some of the easy versions were hard :( which is why I need to keep going.

Hope someone out there will want to join me! Hoping to post once a day to keep myself on track :) now off I go to make myself an omelette and veggies for lunch!

I don't think I could give up carbs, I did it before and when I fell off wagon I actually gained way more than originally lost!

Morning all. Welcome to the new people. Fridge locks are in the post.

I am still refusing to weigh myself. Getting used to the new meds. About to go on holidays with the kids but I will be looking to choose healthy options when out. So getting back to it. What a roller coaster we are on eh!

Hope huffy is having a great hols, with all that sun.

I'm not breastfeeding now but I also did find I was on the carbs when I was. It made me hungry and I didn't lose weight!

Have a good week all.

TwoTonTessie · 12/10/2015 07:13

I feel heavy this morning and scales show no movement from last week Sad Have had my Weetabix and having SW soup for lunch. Hopefully I can manage some sort of loss before the next weigh in.

It's funny SFB - I am in the same frame of mind as you, been totally Fucking it up, no weight gain as yet but it will happen. Have been good so far today it is the evenings where I blow it. It is the school harvest festival on Friday, must resist the home baking and meeting my friend for lunch on Sat, always talks me into a dessert
Perhaps it's the darker nights that is making us all depressed although up in Scotland it will be lighter than in South Yorshire for a bit at least. I anyone local to me or are we scattered everywhere?

Oh good, came on here to confess to shovelling in epic amounts of Chinese takeaway yesterday; it's nice to see I have some company in falling spectacularly off the wagon. Have managed to balance it out a bit today - an achievement in itself as I was so stressed out all I wanted to do was eat. I managed to stave off the feeling by grabbing some popcorn rather than the sharer bag of malteasers I actually wanted. I need to find a better mood booster other than food, anyone got any low budget, quick boost ideas?

Viki - i'm a Southerner, home counties girl here :)

Livvy - I use myfitnesspal for logging my calories; I don't really follow the nutrition goals (though I probably should as I really need to eat more healthily). I'm terrible for exercise, I really need to start doing something, even just going for a walk, but my motivation is zero at the moment.

I'm in Scotland, south.

I was wondering if anyone wrote down their calorie intake? I won't be around the internet much from tomorrow but maybe we could give this a go next week? I used to but record on phone and forget. I think the pen and paper and capital letters will be being enforced!

Just trying to shake up the cheese munchers Wink

I'm up for the challenge, Stellar - I record on my phone anyway so hopefully having some hard evidence of my food intake will shame me into being a bit more healthy as well as low calorie!

Hello everyone and belated welcome to those who have joined. I've caught up on all your posts. Hope those of you who have been ill are feeling better and those of you who have been struggling are in a better head space (man).

I got back from LA last night. We had an amazing time and despite managing to completely forget about healthy eating and exercise, I only put on 2kg in 2 weeks. I was expecting at least double that! It was bloody hot so maybe I sweated out the mere gallons of Wine that I drank?!

Trying to get back on track today... except for the 238 calories of Hershey's chocolate I have already consumed Blush - I bought back a big bag of mini chocs for my colleagues. I have eaten 5. I don't even like chocolate! And it's not great chocolate either. Just checked and that's 238 cals. Meh. Will have to walk home extra fast to burn it off!

vickibee · 13/10/2015 14:08

Welcome back Huffy, i have just eaten a funsize bag of malteasers, dont know how many Kcals. It's like you just can't help it?

Gladyou had a good holiday

Livvy - that is the worst thing, you need to plan ahead for things like this and take fruit or somrhting with you, says me who has done exactly the same thing. I need to get my mojo back, at the tail end of my cold so no excuse really. WHat is wrong with me?

LondonHuffyPuffy · 14/10/2015 10:26

Thanks vicki and brains.

Brains - I just put that lot into MFP for you (mainly because I am work avoiding) and it's possibly not as bad as you think. I obvs had to guess/ make up some of the brands and portion sizes so this might not be accurate but:

Breakfast
Kellogg's - Coco Pops, 90g 348 cals (3 servings of 30g)
Tesco - Semi Skimmed Milk, 100 ml 50 cals
Total 398

Lunch
Hovis - Wholemeal Bread (400g), 2 slices 128 cals
Tuna - Tuna in Water, 6 oz 150 cals
Heinz - Light Salad Cream, 15 g 35 cals
Total 313

Dinner
Lettuce, green leaf, raw, 1 cup shredded 5 kcals
Tomato 0.5 cup 54 cals
Roasted Sweet Potato Wedges, 1 wedge 27 cals
Home Cooked - Bolognaise Sauce, 3 spoons 300 cals
Brooklea - Fat Free Strawberry Yoghurt, 175 g 88 cals
Total 474 cals

Snacks
Hormel Smoked Deli - Ham, 1 slice 15 cals
Cheese - Cheddar - 2 slices 42 g 180 cals
Generic - Sauvignon Blanc, 19.29 oz 456 cals (that's 3 glasses of a regular measure)
Total 651

Total calories 1,836

It was the Wine wot did it!

I find MFP absoutely invaluable for calorie counting. Not so good at limiting myself though at the moment... can't get out of holiday mode Sad

I did ok for the rest of yesterday (after the chocolate debacle) then ended up snarfing down DH's leftover lamb chop and a shedload of curly fries. And then had a load of peanuts. Sigh fucking sigh.

Livvy, I totally empathise. Put a bag of crisps of any size in front of me and I will scoff the lot.

Heh! Something like that. Bummer, ain't it? Grin

If you take the wine and the cheese out and reduce the portion of coco pops, it really doesn't look that bad. I might have got the portion sizes wrong though

vickibee · 14/10/2015 12:18

Huffy

Do you weigh every food to the gram to work out KCal? I am so impressed if you do, I am supposed to do this on WW scales but just do a best guess. That must be where I am going wrong
