Since I want somewhere to track my progress I'm gonna do it here and have it act as a support thread for anyone else who wants to join me - because it certainly feels daunting and we can use all the help we can get!

I am 5 foot nothing and post DS (almost 6 months) I weigh (as of this morning) 95.2kg which I believe is around 14.5stone, but I avoid using st and lbs as I find it triggering. I would like to be back down to my pre-baby weight of circa 80kg by BiL's wedding in June. So...

HippyJess
SW: 95.2kg
GW1: 80kg (June)
GW2: 68kg (September)
UGW: 58kg (March 2016)

Short Term Goal: Do Davina's 15 Minute Fit every day for a week, starting today. I did it, and some of the easy versions were hard :( which is why I need to keep going.

Hope someone out there will want to join me! Hoping to post once a day to keep myself on track :) now off I go to make myself an omelette and veggies for lunch!

vicki - I did at first but have tended to eat largely the same stuff since I started this mission, so I pretty much know how much something weighs. I also eat a lot of stuff like M&S pre-prepared salads which are already in MFP, or have Itsu/ Pret a Manger/ Crrush stuff for lunch which are also already in the MFP database.

I do try to measure Wine though because it's too easy to have a big glass or three

Livvy that is really bad luck, it can take any thing to set us off big or usually trivial in my case.
I would fail my driving test if I took it now cos I can't parallel park, I will drive to the furthest parking space so I can get in easily. We are in a rural area so parking is superfluos but If I lived in a big city I would be screwed. I passes early nineties when you didnt have to do a computer test.
Good luck with the re-booking?

pippistrelle · 15/10/2015 12:55

That really is bad luck.

And it's just the sort of thing that would set off a binge for me. I've been feeling a bit stressed about a couple of bits of life crap, and it's really shown in my eating. As a consequence, I'm struggling badly to get back on track and keep losing and regaining the same 3 or 4 lbs. The devil on my shoulder is saying I'm not in such a bad place now, it doesn't really matter if I don't lose any more. The angel is tutting, and saying it does matter. She's right although she's not big on compassion, and shows no mercy or understanding over my lack of self-control. Ultimately, she's right about that too.

I'm also petrified about passing my crap relationship with food on to my daughter: she seems to be eating like it's going out of fashion, and always claims to be hungry. This has often been a precursor to a growth spurt, but now that she's older, she doesn't need me to fix a snack for her, so she helps herself, and isn't good at moderation. I don't want to make a big deal of it, but neither do I want her to end up like me.

Welcome back huffy!
Crapola crapola livvy

Well I got all excited with you all writing your cals last page. And then you stopped!!
I think maybe just a round up of how many cals a day?

Today I have eaten at least 2000 cals Blush I've been stressed with family. Poor excuse. I got a book to read on diet v thinking. I'll find out the name and get back to you. Obviously I haven't read it yet. Confused

Stellar67 · 16/10/2015 08:34

Pippi I know what you mean about passing on bad food relationships.
My two love carbs and eat empty carbs like they are never eating again.
Everyone is in for a shock though. My shopping list is 80% veg/fruit. I've dug out the cookbooks. Next week is all accounted for.
I'm going to be making a lot of soup tonight. Whatever happened to going out on a Friday night?!
Today will be a low calorie day. (If I say it enough it'll happen)

Stellar67 · 19/10/2015 20:54

Okay I've scared everyone away.....

I'm on 1800 today. Excuse - Kidache, I needed food.

Glad you had a fab time!
Soup is great. Carrot pot and French onion pot.
I'm just going for one day at a time. I'm awake with a snoring dh. Yawn.

pippistrelle · 20/10/2015 08:42

I've been sitting here quietly with nothing to report. Nothing good, but nothing bad either. So, it could be worse. I used to have a special notebook with space to record everything eaten, all exercise done, and do the sums. When I ran out of space in it, I thought I'd just use a plain notebook or move on to MFP. Turns out I don't do either. Something in my psyche requires the special notebook. I just need to buy the damned thing, as I think the recording worked for me.

Pleased you had a great time, Brains.

How are you doing, health-wise, Stellar?

Stellar67 · 21/10/2015 07:11

Go buy it again Pippi.
I have just got myself a not so special notebook! (aka an a5 pukka pad). I need to "see". Was writing it on random bits of paper before.

I feel a lot better. Have visited different Dr who is not convinced but wants to be supportive.

Still get cold, but then it is cold!

How are you? Hope everyone is hiding because they are being industrious and not in my secret C word cupboard eating all the Celebrations.

Non diet days are a good thing. Ive schedule a couple in for rest of month.
My eldest has autism. I remember the early days. You are not alone. Would it help to find someone to talk to in RL? Flowers
I can't seem to use an app. I don't look at my phone enough to use it! Notepad however sits in the kitchen staring at me everytime I open the fridge Grin

pippistrelle · 21/10/2015 15:46

You have a lot on your plate, Livvy. (Not literally, of course.) Good luck with your weigh in.

I'm pleased you've found a more supportive doctor, Stellar. Just being listened to rather than dismissed can make a helluva difference, I think.

I meant to walk lots today but it's raining, and I feel very lazy. So, I've mostly been hiding indoors. This is an example of self-sabotage, I know, because my weight has been creeping down this week. So, when there's a danger of getting a good result, I chuck a spanner in the works. Doh!

Well, I think it's best to say that I should just draw a line under the past couple of weeks... Feel even worse now I come back on here and see that others have had much bigger problems than me. Time to get back on it, no more sodding comfort eating!

Stellar67 · 25/10/2015 10:09

Hello all, just checking in. I've planned my week for food so no excuses.

Hi all, I managed just over 1500 calories today. Better than it has been but need to do better. Will avoid the chocolate and crisps tomorrow and should be fine - aiming to get down to 1200 again.

Stellar67 · 27/10/2015 08:03

Well done Dyrne.
I have been circling the Halloween treat bag like a fox. Really need to get Halloween over with! I have replaced what I stole with sweets I won't eat. And I don't want to write 5 mini malteaser bags on my eating list Halloween Blush
I'm off for a walk this morning. It's nice and I need to get some fresh air.
Have a good day all.
