Needing to lose 4st+ - support thread!

Since I want somewhere to track my progress I'm gonna do it here and have it act as a support thread for anyone else who wants to join me - because it certainly feels daunting and we can use all the help we can get!

I am 5 foot nothing and post DS (almost 6 months) I weigh (as of this morning) 95.2kg which I believe is around 14.5stone, but I avoid using st and lbs as I find it triggering. I would like to be back down to my pre-baby weight of circa 80kg by BiL's wedding in June. So...

HippyJess
SW: 95.2kg
GW1: 80kg (June)
GW2: 68kg (September)
UGW: 58kg (March 2016)

Short Term Goal: Do Davina's 15 Minute Fit every day for a week, starting today. I did it, and some of the easy versions were hard :( which is why I need to keep going.

Hope someone out there will want to join me! Hoping to post once a day to keep myself on track :) now off I go to make myself an omelette and veggies for lunch!

Not everything, sorry child interrupted me...

Should we start a new thread soon? And any ideas for a name? Must be cheese orientated...

Ahh like that that! I will work on it. May well be a Shite and Stellar double act soon. Have we scared everyone away?
Spam?!?! I've no idea what possessed you either!
Getting lost and angry must be an exercise in one of these apps? I think you exerted calories.
I went to class! I actually enjoyed it. Shock It was horrible at the time. But I had the sweat glow to show I'd worked. Slip of a girl next to me didn't have a hair out of place. used to put me off till an instructor told me the non sweaties don't turn the resistance up as everyone should sweat. (It was spin) so I didn't cheat so that also makes me feel better.
Next one is yoga no mental music. Hmm
I can't go on holiday as my DH hoards more than me so I've put on my "let's pretend we are emigrating" hat and the purge has begun. I'm hoping it's going to be good for me.
I have had no cheese today!

I'm in exactly the same place, brains. Sigh. Just cannot get my mojo back, foodwise. I'm not gaining but I'm not losing either. Meh

I have absolutely nothing to say.

Apart from I have nice hair today. Does that count as a NSV?! Probably not.

Stellar67 · 12/11/2015 12:53

Maybe it's the lull before the festive gluttony. I guess it's better not to gain. I weighed myself today and stayed the same. I was really upset because I felt I had been good.

I look like a wet sweaty tomato when I work out. I have given up caring though. I am there. It's also quiet just now so I am enjoying that before the January faddies appear. Hopefully I will be more fit then and be prancing about in a pineapple top looking svelte. Hmm

This better be our forever home. I am not moving again.

Nice hair is good. I vote that as an NSV. Go Huffy.

Today we are staying inside waiting for this storm. Other than that, I have nothing to say either.

Well done on the 1lb!

I have a DH that takes up the shower every morning. So I either have to get up at 5.30 or shower at lunchtime, and by them who can be arsed. I've started using the gym showers.

I don't go in the actual gym. I go to classes. I need someone to boss me about a bit. I just have to remember to book on advance in January. I couldn't do Zumba, too uncoordinated.
My running machine is a wardrobe. Grin

Blimey I fed DS2 almost hourly and I don't think I contemplated the gym at all. I just wanted to sleep. I guess I started to become unwell without knowing at that point too. Well done you.

Quick update on the Stellar bleeds the NHS dry saga.... I'm being tested for coeliac just now. I am gutted! I have new meds which are helping almost everything else! And apt with a specialist in probably 3 years time.

Have a great weekend with glam friend. Feed her cheese. Wink

I did look at coeliac symptoms and I don't think I have it that bad. Dr did hint that I might want to try and cut it out for a few months to see if there's improvements, even if it comes back negative. I am going to really struggle with that. My in laws are just going to force feed me bread in line with their "fight fire with fire" ethic.

Yes, I've met some fad diet folk. I just tell them to avoid what they cant eat Grin. I try not to put down anyone's food choices. But it is annoying when people say they are avoiding something then sit eating what they are meant to be avoiding!

Ha ha I'll be laughing to myself at my yoga class thinking of you Grin

HURRAH indeed! Well done you! That is great.

I will venture down the free from fun aisle next week. I am giving myself one last weekend of glutinous joy.

Have a good weekend!

Well done, Brains. I get the pain of self-sabotage (and seem to be indulging in it every day at the moment), but really, take a moment to give yourself credit for what YOU have achieved. It didn't happen by accident, and it's not a fluke. You're doing brilliantly. You should let yourself acknowledge that.

Stellar, you're really going through it health-wise, you poor thing.

I could have typed exactly what Huffy did yesterday - not going down but not going up either. Mojo vanished. I start every day with good intentions for exercise but rarely follow up on them. But I don't even have the compensation of having good hair.

I need to get back to basics. And what worked for me at first was reading/watching loads of stuff about dieting to get me in the zone. Tomorrow, right? (Once I've eaten the bread I'm currently baking...)

Morning! Is it new start day? Probably not quite for me. I'm channelling pippi in reading about dieting and hoping it sinks in.
I want to be in control. Especially as i really want to jump on the slippery slope of edible tree decorations and baileys.

Hi all
After a great deal of thiought I have given notice on my WW membership, it has kind of served its purpose and I dont feel I am getting any benefit from it. I can better spend the £25 per month on helathy food! I am going to take a break as I am not in the right frame of mind, when I say take a break I am going to try and maintain so I dont pile on loads of weight.
We all seem to be going through a bad patch

Stellar67 · 17/11/2015 13:01

Did you get the Dyson for your birthday brains? Hope your not suffering today.

vicki what's the plan now? Are you going to try and do WW without going or a different plan?

I'm eating too much so far this week. Kids are off sick and I'm just eating for eatings sake. Bleh. Meh. I'll try and drink lots of water rest of week.

vickibee · 17/11/2015 14:22

I am adopting a healthy eating plan (not a diet) try not to eat sugary / high fat stuff. Do not want to gain the lbs. This included not eating my son's Haribo - love the starmix.

I have a cylinder dyson and I love mine although it is awkward to store - seems to take up a lot of room.
