Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?

I'm 5ft 5 and am currently 10st 6lb. My clothes are feeling tight and I have stopped wearing jeans in favour of elasticated trousers which is a slippery slope for me.

To cut a long story short, I lost 3st after my twins were born 2.5 years ago. I felt a lot happier and more confident but it's beginning to creep back on as I lost the weight during my turbulent pregnancy so never had to address my bad eating habits. It's catching up with me now and I've put a stone back on and know if I don't address the problem now, it won't be long till the other 2+st is back.

I wondered whether anyone fancied buddying up and we can give each other a nudge, check in on how each other is doing?

still haven't eaten tea.... Sad

Canyouforgiveher · 04/02/2015 00:00

Oncemore that was a very helpful post. My food intake hasn't been great so far (heavy snow where we are so trapped inside and making comfort food) but I have exercised every day since Sat so that is something. Starting properly with the food tomorrow. good luck everyone.

FiloFunky · 04/02/2015 07:55

thought id have some lovely oranges for breakfast - to help with my cold.... they were bitter and not very juicy.

disappointing oranges. cant think of much worse food wise!

Woahbodyforrrrm · 04/02/2015 10:50

That makes sense oncemore when it's written like that, thank you!

Oh no filo I hate that, oranges never seem to taste as good to me now as they used to so I always buy the tinned mandarins as I'm never disappointed with them, but I don't drink all the juice.

I went to ww for my meeting and have lost 0.5lb since Monday when I started getting serious (but up 1.5lb from when I joined ww two weeks ago Blush

That gain will be gone by next week, I really feel like I've got my drive back! Off to plan my day on mfp now!

anothernumberone · 04/02/2015 18:23

Well done Filo I felt your pain on Saturday. It was DDs birthday party and we went to burger king.

Ellisisland · 04/02/2015 18:32

Gold star for you filo Grin

womanhasbaby · 04/02/2015 19:00

Hi can I join please? I've already lost quite a bit of weight, but realise the last stone or 2 will be the hardest to shift!
Stats:
height: 5ft 11
starting weight: 17st 2
weight lost: 3st 11
current weight: 13st 5
target weight: 12st

hoping to hit my target weight by my birthday in April! will put my BMI comfortably in the healthy range which it hasn't been in for about 5 years!

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 04/02/2015 19:11

Took our dog to the vets for her 3 weekly chemo treatments & couldn't resist a sausage Mcmuffin & Hash brown on the way back....bugger! Started me on a downward spiral of junk!

Accirding to MFP I went 167 cals over, WW tells me I still have 29 weeklies left on top of my 26pp a day. WW seems a bit more generous with the calories as you don't count vegetables or fruit. Fingers crossed for another loss Sunday, not convinced I'm going to get one though Cake

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 04/02/2015 19:12

I'm impressed Filo, you're willpower is so much better than mine Grin

FiloFunky · 05/02/2015 07:54

roll on sunday. im actually wanting to weigh myself. Shock i really hope I've lost something.

Woahbodyforrrrm · 05/02/2015 09:01

You definitely deserve to have lost something after turning down a McDonald's filo that's serious dedication!

heffa that's really good to have only gone over by 100 odd cals after a yummy dirty mcd's breakfast! I'm running mfp and ww at the same time too and agree ww is more generous, I got the munchies at 8pm last night and ate a carrot and an apple instead of my usual bar of choc and it was over 100cals on mfp but "free on ww" and to be fair I did feel satisfied.

Hi woman well done on your weight loss so far that's brilliant, how did you do it?

Has anyone else got any particular targets they're working towards?
My son is making his communion in June so we will be having a big party as it's also his birthday weekend and my twin daughters birthday month. At the last big party we threw (almost 2 years ago) I was a lot slimmer and hate the thought of seeing everyone again and them thinking "oh she's piled on weight again" so I want to shift these lbs, buy myself a nice new dress and feel fab on his special day!

Woah I'm working ultimately towards losing a stone by June so my thighs stop rubbing sticking together in the heat of summer Grin

But I want to try to lose as much as possible by March 7th as I'm off to a 50th birthday were I'm going back to the 80's and will be wearing a gothic outfit...think thigh high boots (flats as I don't fancy breaking my neck) & a black tutu style shirt with a corset style top. It's not going to be pretty but sod it!

Got on the scales for a sneaky peak this morning 1/2lb on but WI isn't until Sunday...one good McPoo should sort that out!

Ellisisland · 05/02/2015 11:57

I have a wedding abroad to go to in June and DS2 christening in June as well so that is my target to lose the last stone. My mid way target is April as we might be going away to visit family for a few days (not sure yet though) and it would be good to have lost at least half by then to allow me to not worry too much about dieting whilst away, if that makes sense Smile

FiloFunky · 05/02/2015 18:00

bit worried about tomorrow. its girls night.... what can i drink??

TallulahTwinkletoes · 05/02/2015 18:28

Filo, vodka and diet coke/lemonade is the way to go. It's practically calorie free. My DP is an avid gym goer and all muscly etc. he drinks only that in the week.

FiloFunky · 05/02/2015 19:04

vodka doesnt agree with me. perhaps i could have weak spritzers with diet lemonade?

womanhasbaby · 05/02/2015 20:32

Thanks! I've just been calorie counting, 1200cals a day. Its a struggle some days, but found that meal planning helps massively.

I did c25k aswel starting in October, felt like a major achiement to finish it as I could barely run 2minutes to begin with!

Filo, on the odd nights out I've had I've stuck to gin and tonic or vodka and diet coke. A spritzer could work too if you made it last a while! I find it very refreshing though so would knock back within a minute Grin

Sorelip · 06/02/2015 15:37

I've been avoiding the thread for a few days, due to a ridiculous amount of crap passing my lips and the accompanying guilt. However, I am back on the wagon as of today and have sent out some MFP invitations. If anyone wants to add me, I'm LNew86.

As of today I'm quitting the drink again. I can't control my intake and it's affecting my quality of life and family time, plus making me even fatter.

Ellisisland · 06/02/2015 15:48

Sent you an mfp invite sorelip I know that feeling of falling off the wagon !hope you feel positive today

Not a too bad day today food wise but baby DS has been hard work today so no chance to exercise but I'm sure I've walked miles pacing the floor with him ! Grin

Woahbodyforrrrm · 06/02/2015 15:56

filo have a great time at girls night! I'll send you an invite now sorelip and good for you for coming back for a fresh start!

I'm really want to try that C25K too, just need to get motivated!

On the plus side I've just sat and eaten a banana rather then my usual 4pm sweet cupboard raid! Though I'm treating myself to a pizza and chips (a small portion) for dinner so am slightly over on my points but have used some weeklies. Had a sneaky weigh in and am -1lb so pleased with that, not weighing again until Wednesday though as there's too much fluctuation with me day by day.
