Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?

Woahbodyforrrrm · 01/02/2015 11:41

I'm 5ft 5 and am currently 10st 6lb. My clothes are feeling tight and I have stopped wearing jeans in favour of elasticated trousers which is a slippery slope for me.

To cut a long story short, I lost 3st after my twins were born 2.5 years ago. I felt a lot happier and more confident but it's beginning to creep back on as I lost the weight during my turbulent pregnancy so never had to address my bad eating habits. It's catching up with me now and I've put a stone back on and know if I don't address the problem now, it won't be long till the other 2+st is back.

I wondered whether anyone fancied buddying up and we can give each other a nudge, check in on how each other is doing?

well this is f*cking depressing! I'm the same height as you all and I'd love to be your weight.

Perhaps we should post our dress sizes instead? I think it would make people feel a bit better and be less stealth boasting.

Nocarbs · 01/02/2015 21:20

5ft 6 and 11st 4.5
Was 13.3 this time last year.
At my very heaviest 16.2 when pregnant! Very lightest 10.5 when I got married 4 years later.
Am aiming for 11, then 10.7.

Would love to be just under 10st, but haven't ever been since I was 21years old!

FiloFunky · 01/02/2015 21:20

stealth boasting?

i am currently wearing size 16 jeans and size 14 tops.

TallulahTwinkletoes · 01/02/2015 21:26

So how are we all doing this? Low calorie intake and exercise? Aka move more, eat less! Grin

FiloFunky · 01/02/2015 21:33

move more eat A LOT less!!

Woahbodyforrrrm · 01/02/2015 21:38

Asking for support from other people in a similar position to you is hardly boasting. I genuinely feel shit about my weight and I have as much right to feel that way then someone who weighs more. I won't post my dress size as you probably won't like that either.

The reason I posted specifically to people with a similar amount to lose is because the last stone or two are the hardest to shift. I'm not expecting to lose 4+lbs a week like I did when I was bigger.

tallulah I joined ww again a few weeks ago but haven't been back but am toying with going with MFP now instead. I'm going to walk more. My twins will go to nursery every morning from September and I'm hoping to go back to the gym then. So yes eat less move more for me!

nocarbs did you follow any particular diet to lose that 2st, well done on that by the way!

It's not stealth boasting frankie80. We might be similar heights, but we all have different builds. Below 10st I start to look ill, ribs start sticking out and all sorts, but other people don't.

This time last year I was 14st, post baby.

Sorelip · 01/02/2015 23:19

My plan is move more, eat less. In reality it'll probably be move more, eat more. I've discovered that low carb no longer works for me, so it has to be sodding calorie counting.

I'll sort out MFP friends in the morning.

Ihavenobrain · 01/02/2015 23:37

I'll join please. 5ft 6 and 10st 12
Need to lose a stone Smile

westcountrywoman · 01/02/2015 23:54

And me please. I'm about 11st5, 5ft 5. I NEED to lose a stone, but would love to lose 2!

DuneCat · 02/02/2015 04:42

I'd like to join too please. I'm 5'8 and weigh 84kgs and want to lose 2 stone to get to 71kgs.

I've set up MFP and signed up with a personal trainer for a few sessions to get started at the gym. First one is in 1.5 hours and I feel really nervous!

Nocarbs · 02/02/2015 07:06

Woahbody I did SW from Jan-May and went from 13.3 to 11.7. But then May-Dec went up and down between 11.10 and 12.5!
Started this January off at 12.1 and have just been sensible with meals, not much snacking (my weakness)

Don't plan in ever seeing 12st something again, nor 11st if I can help it!

Nocarbs · 02/02/2015 07:06

And thank you!

Woahbodyforrrrm · 02/02/2015 09:11

That's really good nocarbs and good luck dune I hope the session goes well!

I've just done my weigh in and I've added another 2lbs to my total so I'm 10st 8, it's scary how fast it can pile on but im determined I won't see that figure again. Meals are all planned for the day. I've discovered Quorn pieces, they are so low calorie and taste like mcnuggets to me anyway and are quick and easy especially for lunch. I'm having them with some couscous and some veg for lunch today.

had breakfast and lunch now. walked home in my lunch break. amd will have walked a mile by the time i go back at roughly 4mph. uphill. nearly too breathless to eat my sarnie! have 605 calories for the rest of the day....

Woahbodyforrrrm · 02/02/2015 14:20

That's really good filo hope it's downhill all the way back!

I've planned my dinner and have 395 cals left for a snack later. I've decided I'm going to try and avoid choc/sweets for February as I can't just stop at one or two pieces, I demolish the lot.

Woahbodyforrrrm · 02/02/2015 14:22

I've literally walked around costco today and that's it. I'd planned a walk with the twins today but they've both ended up with an upset tummy so can't risk going away from the toilet I'm definitley not hoping I get it to help kick start my weight loss Grin

InkleWinkle · 02/02/2015 14:44

Hi, can I join in? 5ft 5 and 11st 3lbs Hmm

Would ideally like to be around 9st 7lbs

Will be weighing in on Saturdays!

FiloFunky · 02/02/2015 17:17

Oooh a d&v kickstart to a diet....! Grin

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 02/02/2015 17:50

Over by 49 calories today, won't be eating dust just yet ..... I've had worse days. My fault, been doing interviews all day and didn't eat for 6 hours so was ravenous. Also had iced gems in my drawer which fell into my mouth Grin how's everyone else done so far today?

FiloFunky · 02/02/2015 17:54

wont be having tea until approx 8.30 Sad

MillieMoodle · 02/02/2015 18:00

Can I join in? I'm 5'4 and 10st 13lbs, which is the biggest I've ever been. I've just got an activity wristband so hoping it will encourage me to eat better/less and move more! I'd like to get down to 9st which is my weight before I had DS (who's nearly 4!). We're ttc no.2 but still think I can focus on eating healthily and upping my exercise.
Just going to go back and read through the thread now!

Ellisisland · 02/02/2015 18:14

Can I join? Am 5'6" and down to 10 stone at the moment. Have another half stone to go to get back to my pre baby weight and so my clothes fit better! Was 11stone so have lost a stone since joining mfp. If you want to add me ny user name on there is herethereeverywhere

Am starting to lose momentum so would be good to have people similar to me keep me going! My downfall is portion size. I make a healthy meal but then eat loads of it!

MillieMoodle · 02/02/2015 18:21

Has anyone got a jawbone up24? I've got mfp but don't use it very often now as log all meals with UP. There's a team function so you can add people but I don't know anyone else who's got one!
