Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?

I'm 5ft 5 and am currently 10st 6lb. My clothes are feeling tight and I have stopped wearing jeans in favour of elasticated trousers which is a slippery slope for me.

To cut a long story short, I lost 3st after my twins were born 2.5 years ago. I felt a lot happier and more confident but it's beginning to creep back on as I lost the weight during my turbulent pregnancy so never had to address my bad eating habits. It's catching up with me now and I've put a stone back on and know if I don't address the problem now, it won't be long till the other 2+st is back.

I wondered whether anyone fancied buddying up and we can give each other a nudge, check in on how each other is doing?

I have no idea how to put the pictures up but it's a horror story anyway. I swear I have a self destruct button - "lose weight? Hahahaha, have another cheeseburger you fatty! And eat the fries too." And I now have a cough so I'm feeling really sorry for myself. However, I have signed up for the Hackney half marathon in May, so fingers crossed the training helps keep me on track.

Sorelip · 09/02/2015 07:48

Meant to say, Heffalump the egg muffins sound nice. A good way to get some protein in too. And well done on the loss.

The only way is down, baaaaaaaby, for all of us now.

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 09/02/2015 08:48

Sorelip I'm the same, if I have something not diet friendly (McDonald's usually!) I can't seem to stop/crave more junk so the only way is to not have it in the first place which is easier said then done.

Hope you feel better soon & I'm seriously impressed your doing a marathon the last time I ran anywhere it was circa 1989........

anothernumberone · 09/02/2015 10:57

Thanks heffalump I got my calories from mfp but I am not very ambitious for my weight loss and set it to a pound a week and slightly active. I have days where making 1200 calories would be fine but my weekends are a travesty to weight loss so there is no point deluding myself I would lose more than a lb.

zippyandbungle · 09/02/2015 11:55

Can I join. I'm 5'4" and currently 9st 11lbs. I'm using MFP and doing 5:2 and linking it to my jawbone. I'm struggling to get past 5000 steps daily, mostly because I loath the winter. Bring on spring!
I'm hoping to lose 11lbs due to the religious diet of bread and winewhich is what I've put on since last July. It's all on my tummy so really noticeable. My MFP nickname is russianmule is it ok to send some requests out to you all?

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 09/02/2015 12:40

Sent you a request Zippy mmmm bread & wine.........mine is also all on my tummy I look like a space hopper in anything lycra!

Another 1lb a week is a good loss & more likely to stay off at that rate I rarely lose anything more than that even on a good week.

FiloFunky · 09/02/2015 13:23

steala. you sound identical to me! good luck and eelcone!3

Woahbodyforrrrm · 09/02/2015 15:28

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been hiding face first in junk food this weekend. No excuses, I'm the same as sorelip if I slip up, I go all out and binge. So the 2lbs I lost last week, made another appearance this morning but I guess I should be pleased I lost them other wise I'd be another 2lb up. I need to get closer to the 10st mark so I feel motivated to get below it, at the moment it seems a long way away. Fab news about the half marathon, I'd love to do one.......one day ??

heffa that's amazing, you're so close to the 9's, this time next week........??

I didn't know you could check up your entire week on MFP, this only takes into account Monday-Friday but good to see that when I'm controlling myself, I'm doing okay. Now to keep it up over the weekend!

Welcome steala and zippy and zippy my tummy is my worst area by far too, the weight just gravitates there it's so yuck!

FiloFunky · 09/02/2015 17:26

I should point out usual snack would be a choc bar or two and Mini cheddars maybe a biscuit... Blush

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 09/02/2015 19:56

It must be really hard to wait so long for dinner Filo smoothies are brilliant though. Was a long stressful day at work so grabbed a burger on the way home. Stayed under calories somehow & technically it upped my protein intake Blush must be good the rest of the week!!

anothernumberone · 09/02/2015 20:50

That looks nice Filo this is my tricky time of the day too. These days I try to just have a cup of tea with nothing else after dinner, if I start I cannot seem to stop. It was DH's birthday today do I bought ice cream for afters. I don't like ice cream so I knew I would not be tempted.Grin

FiloFunky · 09/02/2015 21:03

Tonights tea. 505 cals. Worth waiting for!

Mmmmm someone in your house is quite the cook filo that looks gorgeous! And the smoothie looks way more appetising then my bowl of broccoli mixed with an extra light laughing cow that I ate during that time of day today.

Oh and my feeder has just come through with the tub of heros left over from christmas and is making a point of eating them in front of me. My mouth is watering, but I've been good today, I must stay strong!

woah
My feeder walked in with a box of celebrations given to him by his parents for his birthday left over after Christmas. Lucky for me I ate so much junk over the Christmas period heros, celebrations, nom nom ferrerro rocher the kids selection boxes that I still have no interest. And I wonder how I got so fatHmm

Woahbodyforrrrm · 09/02/2015 23:18

Well done on resisting the feeders! My feeder is my DM who is forever making cakes and brining them over! I sound so ungrateful as they are lovely but it doesnt help !
Have found out last night that we may have a wedding to go to in April so that has given me another target to aim for. Ideally would have lost the stone by then but if I can make even half stone id be happy

filo your dinners always look so good!

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 10/02/2015 08:16

Filo that look delicious! Feeders are the devils spawn, my other half & people at work know how much I love the cocoa bean & always bring me chocolate the thoughtful bastards. With that and the Christmas leftovers I have quite a stash going on so well done for resisting I have a nibble most days Grin

Bloody computer! Sorry double post...

Ellisisland · 10/02/2015 08:46

heffa well done on having a stash and resisting ! I'm terrible if it's in the house I eat it so can't have any in!

Well I am an idiot it turns out if you calibrate your scales correctly you magically loose a few pounds Blush

anothernumberone · 10/02/2015 12:49

heffa I have no will power when there is junk food in the house. Even though the walk to the local convenience store is about 100m I would be too lazy to go there.

FiloFunky · 10/02/2015 18:02

my DP is a marvellous cook... hence the weight pile on! he also is enjoying the challenge of low cal meals. he is a keeper Grin Grin

hows everyone doing? i am craving crisps..... Sad

zippyandbungle · 10/02/2015 19:17

Quick MFP question. Can you see your own updates on the page with your friends? I've just noticed I'm not there when I log completed day for example. I have my settings to friends only but changed to public but still can't see them.
