Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?

I'm 5ft 5 and am currently 10st 6lb. My clothes are feeling tight and I have stopped wearing jeans in favour of elasticated trousers which is a slippery slope for me.

To cut a long story short, I lost 3st after my twins were born 2.5 years ago. I felt a lot happier and more confident but it's beginning to creep back on as I lost the weight during my turbulent pregnancy so never had to address my bad eating habits. It's catching up with me now and I've put a stone back on and know if I don't address the problem now, it won't be long till the other 2+st is back.

I wondered whether anyone fancied buddying up and we can give each other a nudge, check in on how each other is doing?

I'm back up to 69.8kg this morning. Doesn't surprise me because I haven't been exercising and have been eating the same. It's a lovely day so will try and do a long walk despite bad foot and see how I get on! Am annoyed as 3 weeks ago, I was down at 67.5kg!

Thebewilderbeest · 08/03/2015 21:00

How annoying fox, it's surprising what a difference the excersize makes! Still its not too much of a gain. Hope your foot wasn't too painfull for you.

I am beginning to perfect the skinny roast. Chicken breast with no skin, tefal actifry roast potatoes, go easy on the stuffing and loads of steamed veg! Sadly I'm yet to perfect a skinny jam sponge and custard.

FiloFunky · 08/03/2015 21:20

phew found you all again!

anothernumberone · 08/03/2015 22:55

Aw filo good to have you back. I was afraid you hid us and you might never find us again.

MrsMarigold · 09/03/2015 09:11

Hello please can I join you my DH said I was fat yesterday. I'm 5' 5" and I weigh 61.2kg. I would be pleased to weigh around 53kg. I'm very uncoordinated and so find gym classes very stressful (even a baby sing and sign makes me feel anxious) plus I only get about two minutes to myself each day.

Thebewilderbeest · 09/03/2015 14:26

Welcome Mrs I would be fuming if my DH had called me fat, would have replied 'so's your head mate!'.
I also have little time (4 DC!) but manage to go for a run 3 evenings a week once the kids are in bed. I am also uncoordinated but manage with the running (think Pheobe from friends jogging if you used to watch it Grin)

Put on half a pound this week, I assume because Saturday I didn't eat at all then had a kebab at 8pm. Bugger.

Nice to see you filo. Did you get an appointment yet?

Thebewilderbeest · 09/03/2015 14:35

I've just re read that message and seen how abrupt and pushy it looks. Sorry mrs I didn't mean that you should be able to fit stuff in, was just explaining what I do.

MrsMarigold · 09/03/2015 17:46

No it wasn't abrupt, my DH works long hours and I have no family nearby and so I can't leave the DC unsupervised. Thanks for the welcome. Smile

FiloFunky · 09/03/2015 18:30

loss of 1 lb last week

still no appointment through. the stress is killing me

anothernumberone · 09/03/2015 19:55

Sorry to hear that Filo.

Welcome Mrs. I would clatter my DH if he called me fat but he would be right to exercise DVDs with the kids might be an option. I getting out and about too but the odd day I am working out at home I do Gillian's shred.

Thebewilderbeest · 10/03/2015 10:20

Phew, thought I came across as a bit shouty that's all.

Oh filo can you try to get in on a cancellation or anything? Well done for the loss x

foxinsocks · 10/03/2015 22:05

Cor MrsMarigold, I hope you gave him a thick ear! I also very much doubt you are 'fat' at 61kg because that's hardly huge is it!

Well after posting, I picked up a weirdy bug. I wasn't ever actually sick but I completely went off food from Friday to today, coupled with the fact that I did a bit more walking, I feel like I've lost weight but won't weigh myself till the end of the week!

MrsMarigold · 11/03/2015 09:46

He said I had told him I was looking a bit podgy a few weeks ago so he was only speaking the truth! I thinking of doing some weights to firm up but can only join next week.

foxinsocks hope you feel better but weight loss always a bonus.

anothernumberone · 12/03/2015 10:15

I have lost the batteries for the weighing scales. This is probably a good thing though because I intend to keep doing what I am doing and get more in a couple of weeks. I have a 5k race on Saturday morning. I am bizarrely nervous.

Thebewilderbeest · 12/03/2015 13:27

another I agree, sometimes it takes a while for any significant weight to really shift, plus you can retain fluid which can make a huge difference! Probably for the best that they are missing. Good luck for Saturday.

So I managed to step on a toad the other night while out for a run. It did wander off but I felt horrible, I think I must have broken at least one of its legs the poor thing. Luckily I was walking at the time and only caught it's rear end so I didn't stomp on it too hard. I'll be happier when it gets lighter in the evenings though so I can avoid trampling the wildlife!

MrsMarigold · 12/03/2015 13:58

A toad. Poor thing at least we don't have those poison toads here in the UK

FiloFunky · 12/03/2015 18:30

got my appt. 30/3.

not been travking my calories much but hoping im making good decisions and keeping small portions!

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 13/03/2015 10:12

Good luck on the 30th Filo I hope all goes well.

I've been awol this week, succumbed to a virus that's swept through work so haven't been tracking at all.

Worse still Indy my JRT who has been battling lymphoma for the last 12 months lost her fight yesterday & I had to let her go. I say battling she's sailed through her chemo & you wouldn't have known there was anything wrong for which I'm grateful. I miss her so much Sad but it was the right thing to do for her. Even the vet cried, her dog had provided the life saving transfusion after her splenectomy last year.

Possibly lost some weight as I've not been eating properly due to illness. Hope you're all doing well & have a good weekend.

foxinsocks · 13/03/2015 18:03

Good luck on the 30th filo

V sad news about your dog heffa :(, pets are so much part of the family

Work has been mad with so many people off due to illness and other reasons, this week has felt so long. My stomachy thing has finally cleared up (though I still feel a bit fragile!) but just as I was thinking I might be better, I have a v painful back of my throat on one side grrrr

My mum has throat cancer and lives abroad and my dad called today to say she is in hospital with pneumonia so it's all happening. She's ill a lot so he doesn't want me to go over yet - but I have to admit I am very pleased I called last week and spoke to her now.

anothernumberone · 13/03/2015 19:33

God this thread really shows how life just gets in the way with a healthy life style sometimes. I am in awe of you keeping it going when you have so much in the background heffa fox and filo

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 13/03/2015 19:43

So sorry to hear about your mum Fox I hope the pneumonia clears Flowers It must be hard not having her nearby.

FiloFunky · 13/03/2015 22:11

i think hugs all round. life is seems to be mundane OR full of stuff.

will there ever be just a medium?!

anyone have exciting plans for the weekend?

Thebewilderbeest · 16/03/2015 08:33

heffa so sorry for your loss Thanks .

filo Hope it goes well, at least it wasn't quite 8 weeks to wait.

fox hope your Mum is ok.

I have succumb to the tummy bug that the children had. Was sick all night and now lying in bed, hubby has taken a day off work which I feel ridiculous about but he called in after I had to sit down twice to stop the room spinning while I was trying to change the baby Blush . I don't feel too bad as long as I don't move! Don't even want to think about food though so silver linings and all that, I won't need to calorie count for a couple of days!

Beebs15 · 16/03/2015 16:25

Count me in - I'm 5'5 and 10.7

Thebewilderbeest · 18/03/2015 12:31
