Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?

I'm 5ft 5 and am currently 10st 6lb. My clothes are feeling tight and I have stopped wearing jeans in favour of elasticated trousers which is a slippery slope for me.

To cut a long story short, I lost 3st after my twins were born 2.5 years ago. I felt a lot happier and more confident but it's beginning to creep back on as I lost the weight during my turbulent pregnancy so never had to address my bad eating habits. It's catching up with me now and I've put a stone back on and know if I don't address the problem now, it won't be long till the other 2+st is back.

I wondered whether anyone fancied buddying up and we can give each other a nudge, check in on how each other is doing?

filo I hope the 8 weeks goes by quickly or they can find you an earlier appointment. Sending hugs xx
I've lost another kg, so now down to 68.2 (10st 10lbs). I can't wait to be back in the 9 st. Ages to wait I know. Hope everyone else has a good weigh in and a great weekend x

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 27/02/2015 17:28

Flowers Filo hope you get your appointment soon & all can be made good.

Been an awful week at work, had two takeaways as I've been too tired lazy to cook. That on top of the cakes I scoffed I'm expecting a large gain come Sunday. Good luck everyone!

anothernumberone · 28/02/2015 16:08

Well done Heffa I am a kilo down this week too. I am 11 2.2 I cannot wait to see a 10 in my digits but I am considering weighing myself less often. I find it frustrating because nothing happens for days sometimes over a week and then bang it drops and I have been getting ancy. My 11 stone target was set at the start for 3 weeks from now. I am thinking of waiting the 3 weeks to weigh in and saving myself the stress.

Fingers crossed heffa it won't be too bad.

anothernumberone · 28/02/2015 16:09

Sorry for confusion over names I meant mamma

foxinsocks · 01/03/2015 07:23

Would you all mind if I joined/hovered?

I am constantly between 70-72kg (11-11.5 ish stone) and desperate to go back to 64kg (10 stone).

Was around 60/62kg for years and years but then got divorced, busy at work etc and the weight has piled on. Everyone said the stress would make the weight fall off but the opposite happened :) (clearly a lot of ice cream and cheese happened too!).

I got down to 67kg in Jan but then had a work trip and a holiday and am now back around 70kg again argh!

Welcome foxinsocks.

Filo that is excellent considering the distractions. A loss is a loss as they would tell you at Fat Fighters so I will tell you instead.

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 01/03/2015 10:36

Morning all, managed a sts this week which is nothing short of a miracle considering the junk I wolfed down in the past 5 days! Cooking some bits for the freezer today so no excuse I'm too tired next week....or that's the theory.

Filo that's great, especially with all the stress your going through well done.

Welcome Fox are you on MFP?

foxinsocks · 01/03/2015 16:24

Hi heffalump, I am on MFP but haven't logged my food for ages! Must start from Monday (once I've finished these little chocolate eggs - period cravings!)

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 01/03/2015 17:40

Oh that was me last week, anything fried or chocolatey & I craved it! I didn't resist, MFP stopped me going completely overboard barring the one day I was 600+ cals over Blush Was worth every mouthful at the time though Grin

Good luck for Monday!

Thebewilderbeest · 02/03/2015 10:52

filo that's still good considering everything!

Welcome fox

Lost another 2.5 lbs Smile, making me 10st 2.5lbs now. Hoping I will be seeing a 9 in a couple of weeks!

I now have the problem of all me jeans falling down. I can't buy a smaller size yet as all the weight has come only off my waist and I still have my massive arse ample derriere. I've started to wear a belt but the buckle makes a horrible lump under my tops. Any advice from fellow pears?

PlayNice · 02/03/2015 10:53

Anyone mind me joining? I'm TheLightPrincess on MFP.

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 02/03/2015 20:39

Hi Play & welcome, I'll add you on MFP.

Well done Bewilder that's brilliant! No advice on the belt issue but hope someone can help as I'm stuck between sizes at the moment too.

anothernumberone · 02/03/2015 21:02

Well after 2 extremely hard runs before and after the weekend and a 25km cycle this weekend and an average weekly calorie count 3000ish below my allowable I foolishly decided to weigh myself this morning after I swore I wouldn't. Get this 5lbs up. I nearly threw the scales out the window. God I hate weighing scales. I have given DH the batteries from the scales to save me from myself for the rest of the week.

On the plus side I did all my measurements and I am way, way down everywhere except my boobs so all is not lost.

Play I will add you on MFP too.

foxinsocks · 03/03/2015 06:15

I also haven't weighed myself having had 2 roasts this weekend!

Did well yesterday - had a nice salad for lunch but then ate far too much for dinner. This is what happens when I don't eat enough during the day.

Exercise a disaster at the moment as I've hurt my foot - I can walk on it but if I go too far it really hurts so that has practically stopped me doing anything.

If you are doing a lot of exercise I find you always put on weight at first as you build up muscle. So if your measurements are better, that is a great step in the right direction?

foxinsocks · 03/03/2015 06:16

(Sorry that last bit was for anothernumberone! Posting on the phone and I couldn't scroll back to get your name!)

anothernumberone · 03/03/2015 10:30

Very true fox. I am trying to get under the 11 stone mark too impatiently so I naively thought with all that exercise I am bound to be closer. I am actually enjoying the exercise though.

I find that now I have gotten used to eating less during the day I am not starving in the evenings any more fox* I think the hunger was habit. The first couple of weeks I thought I was going to starve. Large cups of milky tea and fruit have all stopped it. Drinking tonnes of water too.

foxinsocks · 03/03/2015 14:01

Thanks another. You and me are aiming for the same thing (to get under 11 as a start!).

I find the same re habit. I had started doing some exercise and could eat a bit more but now I've injured my foot and can't exercise, I need to cut back what I eat as I'm not burning as many calories but I'm struggling. Drinking water is a good tip - I don't drink enough so will start with that!

Thebewilderbeest · 04/03/2015 12:53

How annoying another, if all your measurements are down though then it's clearly all working so I wouldn't worry!

With you guys on the habit thing, I think once you get used to the new regime it's easier. I thought I would really struggle to not eat cheese, it's my biggest downfall, worse than cocolate for me. Soon realised I had been just shoving it in and on everything out of habit, I now don't miss it with ham, beans, omelette etc. Has made me realise how much of my excess weight must be pure cheese!

PlayNice · 04/03/2015 13:37

I'm like that with wine! Is a wine belly a thing? Pretty sure I have one.

iamsodoingthis · 05/03/2015 19:51

Hi, can I join in too? Im 5'4 and around 10 st 12lbs. Want to get to 10st or less. Its the wine and snacking that's a problem for me. Have tried to eat less carbs today to try to stop energy slumps. And trying to drink more water. Can't wait for the brighter evenings as I hoping to start running again.

anothernumberone · 05/03/2015 19:58

Playnice I have a wine belly tooSmile.

Welcome iamsodoingthis

iamsodoingthis · 05/03/2015 21:21

Thanks another. Another one here with a wine belly!

Thebewilderbeest · 05/03/2015 21:25

I think my belly is rum more than wine, it's definitely dissapearing though! All the cheese is on my bum and thighs (not literally of course, that would be hard to balance Grin )

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 06/03/2015 09:43

I definitely have a cheese & matchmakers belly! Add to that some crispy duck thighs & you get the picture....
