Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?

I'm 5ft 5 and am currently 10st 6lb. My clothes are feeling tight and I have stopped wearing jeans in favour of elasticated trousers which is a slippery slope for me.

To cut a long story short, I lost 3st after my twins were born 2.5 years ago. I felt a lot happier and more confident but it's beginning to creep back on as I lost the weight during my turbulent pregnancy so never had to address my bad eating habits. It's catching up with me now and I've put a stone back on and know if I don't address the problem now, it won't be long till the other 2+st is back.

I wondered whether anyone fancied buddying up and we can give each other a nudge, check in on how each other is doing?

Filo I was 11 3.4 yesterday so snap. I really want to get under 11 now. It will be really nice to see a 10 something again. It has been a while.

babygiraffe86 · 22/02/2015 14:27

Just read through all here and hoping you'll let me join in :-) 5 months into new office job instead of being restaurant manager - means I've put on 10lbs without even blinking - pedometer now says average of 1000 steps a day oops :'(
Go on holI day 1st May and hoping to hit 9 and a half for then (currently 10 St 7 lbs) and then maintain if possible! Big aim - but yiu all seem to be doing so well and giving each other moral support and I'm hoping you'll accept me into your gang :-)

Thebewilderbeest · 22/02/2015 19:28

well done heffa and broken, it's so nice to see the numbers drop.

filo snowboarding sounds awesome. Hope he had fun!

welcome babySmile

I did fine yesterday until the evening, when my hormones compelled me to eat some salami straight out of the packet and then a Mr Kipling cake bar Blush.

I did go for a run this morning for the first time in a year and nearly died. I didn't log it though as I didn't log my slip up last night so I figured they cancel each other out (hopefully!).

I did manage to utterly muller one of my heels though, I was full of endorphins and didn't notice my trainer was rubbing. It's horrific DH had to put a massive dressing on it for me as a plaster wouldn't have done the job. Trainers have gone in the bin lest I be tempted to wear them again!

On the plus side managed to make a 635 calorie roast dinner - not bad for a Sunday treat Grin .

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 23/02/2015 09:25

Haha Bewilderbeest at least you did some exercise, I can't remember the last time I ran further than 10yds.

Your heel sounds really painful hope it heals up quickly, back to work this week & there are 3 birthdays! So 3 rounds of cakes which I won't be able to resist Blush

To make matters worse one of the ladies went to Cornwall & returned with a tin of clotted cream fudge & 2 packs of clotted cream shortbread....I'm going to have to begrudgingly let my DP have them aren't I? I love fudge!! Sad

Ellisisland · 23/02/2015 11:13

Hello all well done on all the losses ! No loss for me but to be honest have not been watching what I eat at all so just glad not to have put any on!
Back on it today have made a massive pot of veg soup for lunch and have done my Davina workout for the day !

Thebewilderbeest · 23/02/2015 13:39

1 lb loss this week, I haven't exactly been great with calories this week I'm happy.

Heel is not too sore but DH changed the dressing on it this morning and said it still looks nasty. Its surprisingly difficult to get a proper look at your own heel! I am generally a no sense no feeling type, so I'd better go easy until it heals in case I do any more damage!

heffa that sucks about the Cornish goodies, but could you go for a tiny weeny piece of cake? (Although why is it whenever you ask for a small bit whoever is cutting it gives you a bloody great wodge anyway?Angry )

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 23/02/2015 14:08

I had the great wodge....I could have cut it in half but it was Red Velvet cake & it was so good! No dessert for me for the next few days Sad

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 24/02/2015 10:15

Salted caramel cupcake today....I did scrape a lot of the buttercream off though Grin

Woahbodyforrrrm · 24/02/2015 14:25

Hi everyone! I've fallen off the wagon and am bigger now then when I started Blush Half term was such a challenge and now I cannot get back into eating well. I ordered all my healthy food which has been delivered but I'm still stuffing my face with crap whenever I feel a dip. I don't know how to get motivated again. So so angry with myself.

I'll catch up on all the posts I've missed this evening!

FiloFunky · 24/02/2015 18:27

starsandunicorns · 24/02/2015 19:09

MammaTo2boys · 24/02/2015 22:03

Hi all. broken I've only just dipped under the 11 so you've got plenty of company. heffa the cake sounds Devine.
I'm trying to be good but the staff room is always full of cakes. Not had an alcoholic drink for a whole week that should surely reduce my waist. Hope everyone is well x

Ellisisland · 25/02/2015 07:05

Hi all
Workplaces are the devil when it comes to snacks and cake!
I fell off the wagon a bit. Didn't put any on but weight loss stalled. So am back on it this week. So far so good but will have to stick to online shopping now all the Easter eggs are in the shops !

anothernumberone · 25/02/2015 10:07

Filo Flowers hope the appointment goes ok tomorrow. I think sometimes you have to ease back a bit when other things are going on.

My DS hid the card from our TV dvr and it was gone for over a month so no tv. Don't get me wrong there was Mumsnet and Netflix and you tube but no advertisements. Last night we got the tv back every ad break had at least 4 ads for food I am not joking and for the first time in weeks I was starving all night. I am going back to netflix. It is crazy how much ads can affect me anyway.

Thebewilderbeest · 25/02/2015 20:27

Hello all, hoping to have a better week now kids are back at school!

filo hope your appointment goes ok, could you do something nice but non food related as a distraction? I find it's good to keep your hands busy so you can't use them to eat. I tend to do my nails, or have a nice bath and then moisturise all over, or epliate my legs. Stuff that makes you feel good so you get a reward but one that won't make you feel guilty.

FiloFunky · 26/02/2015 16:45

another referral to another hospital Sad

up to 8 weeks wait

had an eye angiogram. its turned me yellow and my urine the colour of highlighters Blush

its amazing how many people stare at you when you are yellow like this Smile

had approx 200 photos of the back of my eye. 4 scans. had the pressure tested. and still none the wiser. in two weeks the fluid has mobed further towards my optic nerve Sad i could lose the sight in that eye. really hope they can see me soon. im scared Sad

Ellisisland · 26/02/2015 17:31

filo ((((hugs)))) and Flowers that is really scary. And it's awful you have to wait another 8 weeks. Really hope it's not as bad as you fear

anothernumberone · 26/02/2015 20:06

Jesus Filo that is awful. 8 weeks is shocking. I hope it is faster. Can you press for an emergency cancellation?

FiloFunky · 26/02/2015 20:08

thanks :) 8 weeks should be max. if i get seen quicker then the consultant im being referred to will have concerns about acting fast. gonna have to ask work to be flexible with me asking for time off with short notice

anothernumberone · 26/02/2015 20:12

I think they will be very sympathetic Filo. Be sure not to underplay your concern. Flowers
