Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding?

I need to lose at least 2 stone by June.

Tbh I haven't done too bad over Christmas and haven't gained afaik? avoided scales.

I'm 5ft 8 and weigh just over 13 stone. Am a size 14. My stomach is my worst area, legs and arms are fine as are boobs.

I only want to get to a size 12 as don't look so good as a 10. I used to be really skinny when younger and hated it.

Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding? I'm not even looking at dresses yet until I lose some.

Talking of wind...it's not only blowing a gale outside tonight Blush It's all the veg I'm eating!!

I've been dancing tonight, probably 2 hours in total. Some pretty fast paced.

I'm going to make sure I have a good walk tomorrow and dig out a fitness dvd.

I've ordered Hip Hop Abs and should get that within a week? A friend recommended it tonight. She has no stomach now.

Didn't make it to sainsburys at lunch so no soup :-( Ended up with the following (under cals)

B - banana and clementine
L - ham sandwich and quavers
D - Mushot (still haven't been shopping)
Snacks - handful of dates, small choc bics (5 Blush)

still haven't been shopping - I need a housewife/chef if anyone's got one spare Grin

Cocoaone · 09/01/2015 06:24

I just had a sneaky early weigh and I've lost nearly 3lb. I did have a huge meal the night before my first weigh in though. But need to stay on track so I don't put on any over the weekend before 'official' weigh in

Cocoaone · 09/01/2015 06:28

Ps - I hereby solomnly promise to go shopping tonight.

Dowser · 09/01/2015 08:26

Good Cocoaone. Remember the scouts motto...be prepared.

FSC you make feel tied just reading about your exercise.

After my run in with the tape measure yesterday I was telling my daughter all about it and how some of my clothes are size 12 when I'm so obviously not.

She summed it up nicely in two words.

Vanity Sizing.

So my clothes might lie but the tape measure doesn't as I'm a victim of vanity sizing who do I sue lol. Clothes manufacturers, chocolate makers...or do I just suck it up lol

Answers on a postcard please.

On a serious note does anyone have any idea what calories to put down for this mainly green juice say 10 oz with 2-3 ounces of apple and pear juice added.I've been putting down 220 cals but that seems a lot for what it is.

However, if I have overestimated it by 60-100 cals at least if in the evening I have gone off the rails then there's those extra cals built into my total that will act as a bit of a cushion. Was going to do 1100 today in case i was over yesterday but no, today is another day.

Have a good one everyone. Be prepared, make some healthy nutritious choices. Feed your body well, nourish your bones and when when you're old you won't be decrepit.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 09/01/2015 09:17

Vanity sizing Grin She's so right though!

I know I haven't lost any weight this week. Even though I've been very active and am toning up I actually feel heavier.

I need a new pair of scales as mine (electronic) are off by a few pounds then you get on them again and they're lower then up??

I might get weighed in the community centre close by? Or buy some decent scales?

Breakfast is tea and a coffee plus a few nuts. I ate too much last night and still feel full.

Morning :) I did a four mile run yesterday and then had to walk a miLe home as I had done a detour to pick up my bike from a friends as I got a puncture on the school run. So since last Fri I have run five times! No idea if I have lost weight but def feel more toned :)

Today is a rest day and then will run tomorrow. Eating wise going Ok, resisted chocolate temptation yesterday.

Well done on the weight loss everyone :)

I am going to get the tape measure out tonight and see where I am at and then re measure in s few weeks.

gotredonyou · 09/01/2015 10:35

Very excited about going to look at honeymoons this weekend...considering Mexico as everywhere closer will be cold in November. Anyone been before??

OkyDoke · 09/01/2015 11:23

Weighed in last night for the first time since before Christmas 1.5 on. Now about 7lbs over the lowest I have been on Slimming World. 33 weeks today til the wedding!

Dowser · 09/01/2015 11:30

Sounds like a good menu go red. Not been to Mexico but sounds lovely. I have been to Cuba in november that was nice and warm and now is the time to go before it changes.

Just parking this here for now as I've been looking into ketosis. I wish I was a chemist but I kind of understand the gist of it. I wonder if having onion in my omelette takes me out of ketosis in the morning

www.dietdoctor.com/lose-weight-by-achieving-optimal-ketosis

Dowser · 09/01/2015 11:31

So, is that just 7 lbs to lose okydoke?

SoonToBeMrsB · 09/01/2015 11:36

Morning all! Scotrail cancelled every train in Scotland due to the wind so I had to leave my house half an hour early to brave the bus and I was still ten minutes late to work - grrr!

Anyway, I'm here but my day has already been monumentally shit and it's not even lunch time. Here's hoping it picks up slightly...

gotredonyou · 09/01/2015 11:46

Dowser- I was on Cambridge diet last year for 3 months (and lost 3 stone) which works on the basis of ketosis. You have to keep your daily carbs below 70g to remain in ketosis so onion in your omelette wouldn't take you out of it. I felt great in ketosis, never hungry so no cravings but was I found it very difficult to keep up with normal food. xx

SantasFavouriteHo · 09/01/2015 12:01

I went for the "have lovely meal and do 2 fast days option" loads of calories last night but worth it!

So today
B - porridge with water and cinnamon
L - vegetable curry and cauliflower rice
Keep thinking of the dress to get through!

OkyDoke · 09/01/2015 12:02

dowser I wish! More like 2 stone 7lbs but 2 stone is my aim :)

SantasFavouriteHo · 09/01/2015 12:06

What dancing do you do freaking?

Dowser · 09/01/2015 12:45

Thanks got red I checked on Mfp and it did come up as no carb. I was starving when I woke up this morning. I could hear the omelette hitting the empty pit and I was hungry after and am still hungry now. The problem is the apple and pear juice in the green juice. 4oz is 16 carb. But now I don't know what they use as a measurement. Hopefully it's is grams.

It's doing my head in to be honest. Hubs To be has just told me I'm doing his head in.

Tried some of my sale dresses on. Humph!

Well, if im not comfortable by two weeks today they are going back!

Then I'm going to lighten up lol!

Dowser · 09/01/2015 12:46

Awww! Sorry to hear that okey doke.

We will get there. We've allowed lenty of time ;-)

Dowser · 09/01/2015 12:47

Plenty even .

Dowser · 09/01/2015 13:22

All green juice! Foul! Foul! Foul!

What am I doing to myself . 1200 cals really low. Green juice with fruit juice isn't the nicest thing in the world but more palatable.

So, I topped it up with some apple juice.

There's only so far I'm prepared to go.
Life's for living.

That's today's rant...lol

Next up ...Ferraro Roche...60 cals...get in!

SoonToBeMrsB · 09/01/2015 13:29

I've just ordered myself a Garmin Vivofit with chest strap to track my activity. I used to use a Polar FT4 but my main exercise is bootcamp and all of the jumping around and switching positions from sit ups to press ups to whatever else would cause the signal to cut out and stop the calorie count on the watch so I sold it. I considered a Fitbit Charge but I also do spinning and it doesn't track anything that isn't step based. I have a Garmin Forerunner 10 but it's not compatible with a chest strap so I only use it for GPS to track the distance I've ran... god, I'm a fussy bugger when it comes to my technology!

The Vivofit seems to do everything that the Fitbit Charge does but the chest strap means I can accurately track high intensity workouts on top of my steps taken, floors climbed, etc. Hopefully it motivates me to get off my ever-expanding arse!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 09/01/2015 13:38

Dowser, you're living the rock 'n roll lifestyle there with that apple juice Wink

Santas, it's salsa jive so fast paced. I was teaching the beginners again last night as the man as they were male teachers short. Rest of the time I was whizzing around the floor or having a good natter.

I've just had lunch, Seabrook's sticks salt and vinegar 89 cals. And a mug of my homemade soup probably hardly any cals in it? Dp's making fish pie tonight so saving cals for that. I had a shortbread at my friend's house today too.

But...I've lost 2lb!! Got on her scales which I've been on before, and are always accurate and 2lb down. She'd commented that I'd lost weight before I got on but she's probably noticing I'm toning up?

Dowser · 09/01/2015 16:39

Don't know what's wrong with me today!!!

I'm ravenous and have been all day. It's not cold, 10 degrees at one point. I've got the energy of a slug. Ahhh!

I'm just absolutely, disgustingly and ridiculously starving.

Sat in Asda cafe fantasising what I would eat if I wasn't on the wedding dress diet and I wasn't gluten free.

It was
Tomatoes soup, a jacket potato with the strongest cheddar that bites back, a great big baguette filled with everything and top it off a great big hunk of cake topped off with as much fresh cream as you could get on it.

I feel like I'm going mad.

We don't eat till 6-30 - 7pm!

No way!

I want my dinner and I want it now!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 09/01/2015 17:18

I've been really tired today too. I've just got up from a nap.

Have you had a snack Dowser? Maybe try some creamed soup next time you feel like this?

Having fish pie around 7pm. I'm still ok though the soup must've done the trick.
