Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding?

FreakinScaryCaaw · 29/12/2014 14:10

I need to lose at least 2 stone by June.

Tbh I haven't done too bad over Christmas and haven't gained afaik? avoided scales.

I'm 5ft 8 and weigh just over 13 stone. Am a size 14. My stomach is my worst area, legs and arms are fine as are boobs.

I only want to get to a size 12 as don't look so good as a 10. I used to be really skinny when younger and hated it.

Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding? I'm not even looking at dresses yet until I lose some.

Dvds. Not dad's...

ATeaPleaseBob · 06/02/2015 14:27

That is a lot of excercise!! That's why you're a size 10 and I'm not.

I need to do more excercise. I haven't been doing much recently to be honest. Please keep posting about your weight/inches loss and hopefully it will inspire me (and others)!

dancingwitch · 06/02/2015 20:26

Tea & Mad - what results for both of you. Well done.

I like food too much to be on a diet as well as having too little will power and a sense that I "deserve treats. I resisted fish & chips at lunchtime as well as sticky toffee pudding with custard and then cake this afternoon and was doing just fine on my fast day when I got an alert saying my train line was down so went to work drinks where I limited myself to a diet coke & water but ate my own body weight in nuts. 100g of mixed nuts are 600+ calories and I must have had at least 100g. And I'm not home yet so clearly won't do any exercise. If I could stick to a diet for more than 18 hours at a time, I may actually lose weight. This pattern is nothing new & explains why, despite having theoretically been on a diet for most of the past 2.5yrs, I have only lost 3st.
No doubt more resolutions will be made tomorrow!

Dowser · 06/02/2015 23:07

Oh, I've bitten the dust today.

Took a box of maltesers and Cadbury galaxy eggs round while babysitting and just ate them like I used to do.

Today I wore one of my smallest dresses as a penance.( that's before I ate the choc)

Tomorrow it's a hair shirt!!!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 07/02/2015 10:39

Period is imminent yet I've lost 2lb?

Am off out to see my friend in Hartlepool then walk around a big park there. Might even walk to it as it's only a mile?

It's lovely and sunny here Smile

Have a good day everyone x

Woohoo, 2lbs is great FSC!

I actually managed to drag my lardy arse to the gym this morning and my heart rate monitor tells me that I burned 632kcal in just under an hour - 3km jog on the treadmill, 3km on the cross trainer and 1km on the rower with a quick weights circuit before I left. Today is a feed day after my first successful fast day yesterday:

B: blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, coffee

L: sweet potato, coconut and chilli soup with a buttered roll, apple muller rice, another coffee

D: homemade bacon cheeseburger with 200g homemade wedges, relish, pickles - the whole shebang!

S: small banana when I got home from the gym

2011kcal, but I won't grudge myself the banana that pushed me over my calorie goal - I was about to chew my own arm off and I got a good burn at the gym Smile

Dowser · 07/02/2015 15:10

Well done FSC! That was some output Mrs B.

I'm languishing in the doldrums.

Got my new nicks on. Size 18 s. I'm pulling them out ( as you do ) yesterday saying to OH ' do you think these will fit or should I have got 20s

He says ' how big do you think you are?

Well I'm obviously that big as they fit! I could have maybe squeezed I to a 16 but at my age I need all the comfort I can get!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 07/02/2015 18:12

Blimey Soon that's some going!

Dowser I'm with you on the comfort. Shoes especially. I shudder at some heels I see.

Cajun chicken crown on a bed of shredded cabbage and onions is in the SC. Dp's in around 8 so we'll have it then with some carrots and maybe brussels?

I had King prawn salad for late lunch. Dressing was mayo with some sweet chilli sauce in it.

I feel really bloated at the moment though, due to period being due.

OP posts:
Dowser · 07/02/2015 18:49

Glad I'm done with all that FSC .

I'm bloated for other reasons. Fat! Overheating! Eating something I shouldn't!

List is endless!

Off to see my other set off grandkids before we move off tomorrow.

No doubt a damage limitation exercise when I come back.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 07/02/2015 22:54

Where you moving off to Dowser?

Chicken was nice. I haven't exercised much today except a walk around Ward Jackson park.

Work tomorrow and not sure if I'll get out?

Off to bed now, night all.

Wales!

Love it. Would move in a heartbeat if all the family came too.

Eating is going to be all over the place :-(

SoonToBeMrsB · 08/02/2015 16:54

Phew, I absolutely smashed it at the gym this afternoon - 808kcal in 1 hour 10 mins Shock

Food has been on point too, I'm starting to get excited/nervous for weigh in on Wednesday morning!

B: 3x rashers of bacon (grilled), 2x eggs fried in a tsp butter, one slice toast from the tiniest seeded loaf I've ever seen, coffee

L: sweet potato and chilli soup, buttered roll, Muller Rice apple, another coffee

D: lemon and herb battered fish, homemade wedges, 2tbsp brown sauce

S: another coffee, split a Nakd bar (well, Aldi's own version) with DP

SoonToBeMrsB · 08/02/2015 16:55

Oh, I should say that lot comes in at 1900ish kcal.

Dowser · 08/02/2015 21:29

Dinner was fish and chips down at Barry Island next door to Boofy's .

Now having a g and t.

Lunch was Doritos and hummus and cheese and ham wraps. Slices of cheese wrapped around ham.

Downward spiral here I come!

dancingwitch · 08/02/2015 21:37

Wow! That is some gym work!
Quite a lot eaten/drunk thus weekend but, other than some jelly babies when I got in at 2am this morning, nothing too excessive and I made it to aqua this morning at 9am.

5madthings · 08/02/2015 21:40

Impressive gym session soontobe!

I ran 8 miles.this eve, my longest run.ever and about 900 calories according to my garmin, did.a.bunch of sit up, crunches and press ups afterwards, knackered now. 1lb down on.the scales.

Have eaten Ok,no bfast, toast for lunch, dinner of pasta and some chocolate fingers but figure that's Ok given my run!

SoonToBeMrsB · 09/02/2015 09:10

Oh Dowser, you can totally rein it back in! Losing weight is the hardest, most depressing thing at times Sad

I'm so proud to say that my weekend went perfectly as far as food and exercise goes, the first healthy weekend in... actually, I'm not sure how long! Today looks like this:

B: 2x brioche french toast with a drizzle of syrup and some strawberries

L: Leftover spag bol with wholemeal pasta, Nakd bar, 2x clementines

D: Paprika chicken is in the slow cooker, I'll have a big salad with it

S: Muller rice

This comes to 1985kcal. I'm hoping to get to bootcamp tonight but DP got a great discount code for a load of butcher meat and it's being delivered to my office in a cool box. If it's really bulky then I'm going to have to beg a lift home from my boss. If not, I'll attempt to take it with me but it's a twenty minute walk across town to bootcamp and then a ten minute walk from there to the station so I'd rather not be lugging it around all night.

gotredonyou · 09/02/2015 09:30

Morning all..

My weekend went ok..healthy apart from a meal out on Saturday night at an American diner..picked the healthiest thing on the menu. (Chicken Breast burger & Sweet potato chips) Going to persevere with 5:2 as it was quite easy to follow last week..Totm this week so hoping for a loss when its over on Fri.

Todays menu-
B- Porridge with peanut butter & banana
L- Tuna Mayo Salad, Nakd Bar & Grapes
D- Roast Gammon, New potatoes & Veg. x

SoonToBeMrsB · 09/02/2015 09:42

I'm enjoying 5:2 so far too gotred, my first fast day was surprisingly easy. I'm not sure if that was just the enthusiasm of a new plan spurring me on though so we'll see how I get on with my fast tomorrow.

I did peek at the scales this morning and I'm happy with the result, hopefully they continue the trend for official WI on Wednesday morning Smile

ethelb · 09/02/2015 09:48

Morning. This weekend went better than last weekend. I gained 0.5lb last week so need to get back on it. Knee injury made it hard last week but that has got much better over the past couple of days.

Todays menu:
Bfast: Avocado and poached egg with proscuittio
Lunch: Aubergine and mushroom soup
Dinner: Turkey burgers with butternut squash chips

gotredonyou · 09/02/2015 09:57

That's good Soon I found it easy because you know the next day you can feast again...

SoonToBeMrsB · 09/02/2015 10:01

That was my reasoning too, it definitely kept me focused. I'm not sure it's a plan that I would do long term but it's a good way to shake things up!

Hello brides2B Smile

Not a bad day for me today considering I was sat in training all day. Really interesting training though.

I had a banana for B, chicken wrap for L, broccoli and stilton soup for a snack and 2 oatmeal crackers and cheese with blueberries for another snack. Dp's in after 8 so eating D late....as usual.

Only a short walk with the dog tonight for exercise but I walked fast.

Af still hasn't arrived but I can feel it coming. Bloated which I hate.

OP posts:
dancingwitch · 09/02/2015 20:01

AF has arrived. Hurrah. I am seriously grumpy and feeling vile but at least I know I will only feel like this for another 24 hours and should then be OK again for three weeks or so.

It was supposed to be a fast day today but I ended up baking with DS this morning and inevitably licked the odd spoon etc although haven't eaten any of the actual end result. No breakfast, baked potato with a leek, an onion, a couple of rashers of bacon & a teaspoon of crème fraiche for lunch and then the plan was to have nothing else but, due to AF arriving, I had a piece of flapjack but then an apple as opposed to another bit of flapjack and then a bit of DS' chocolate Father Christmas as it was that or open a bar of Dairy Milk & scoff the lot. Not brilliant but, for an AF day, damage limitation was the name of the game & relatively successful.

Mad - I am in awe of you running.

"Go" & "Soon" - with you starting 5:2, I think I need to up my game. I am too lax these days to really benefit from it fully.
