Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding?

I need to lose at least 2 stone by June.

Tbh I haven't done too bad over Christmas and haven't gained afaik? avoided scales.

I'm 5ft 8 and weigh just over 13 stone. Am a size 14. My stomach is my worst area, legs and arms are fine as are boobs.

I only want to get to a size 12 as don't look so good as a 10. I used to be really skinny when younger and hated it.

Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding? I'm not even looking at dresses yet until I lose some.

I've lost 5lbs.

Been out with the dog for a walk but not that long as it's icy.

I've not eaten yes as was still full from last night's dinner. Either that or I'm coming down with something?

Soup for lunch.

Well done on all the losses weights and inches this week I've been reading about everyone. I stayed the same when I weighed on Tuesday suspect it was the food and wine at weekend but has inspired me to keep on it Smile

And I bought my dress yesterday! It fits perfectly at the moment (off the shelf) but hoping to need to get it altered Grin

Do you think the lamp is working a few days in Dowser?

FreakinScaryCaaw · 29/01/2015 13:00

I'm not doing very good at this waiting to weigh myself malarkey Wink I'm another 1lb down and that was with clothes on! I celebrated with a slice of seeded toast and hummus Grin

Dancing tonight and been dancing in the house. Raving to a Now cd. Luckily the blinds were down. Seems I wasn't coming down with something after all?

Been decluttering too. So keeping pretty active.

Good luck all.

Ooh how exciting amroc18 Whats your dress like? Any pics?

dancingwitch · 29/01/2015 13:15

Very excited here as woke up this morning feeling thin & weighed in at 10st 5 which is another 2 off (although slightly distorted by yesterday being a fast day & means I am back at my pre-Xmas average weight. It also means my weight loss in the 25 days since I started this is 7lbs. However, we have a couple of events this weekend so I'm bound to not stay entirely on the straight & narrow AND I am now looking at losing "proper" weight which has been attached to me for years rather than yo yo weight.

ATeaPleaseBob · 29/01/2015 14:25

I've been weighing myself for 11 days and have lost 3 pounds.

Am back up to 11stone and half a pound today. Sigh, I'm so close to being 10 stone something. Maybe tomorrow Smile

Well done everyone on the weight loss! All sound like healthy, sustainable losses rather than crash diets.

Ooh Amroc, you bought your dress? Exciting Smile

FreakinScaryCaaw · 29/01/2015 15:03

Pic please amroc18 Grin

I've bought my first table decoration today. A lovely little jug on a saucer. I'm going to collect things like this for the flowers. I'm doing the decorating of the room myself.

Keeping busy takes my mind off food. Although tbh I'm not that hungry?

Dress is here www.sinceritybridal.com/wedding_dress/3734

First attempt at clicky link so hope it works!

amroc18 · 29/01/2015 19:09

And wish was the same re hunger FSC-am always ravenous lol!,,

Being on cusp of stones is so annoying ATPB-I feel your pain hovering around 12/12-1 at the moment

Dowser · 29/01/2015 20:15

For amroc...Now that is my type of dress. Just beautiful. Simple, but with a bit of detail but still elegant and not fussy.

I'm too old to do fussy lol

Arrrghhhh! Just come in. Just demolished a slab of steak, a stack of curly fries , nibble at some fried mushroom, onion and tomato but left most of that on my plate!!!

And could just dive into some chocolate but won't.

Thank goodness I only had the green buggery juice for lunch!

dancingwitch · 29/01/2015 21:06

An OK day here. Banana for breakfast, a tin of tuna mid morning as I suddenly wanted protein and realised I hadn't had much of it for a few days, tomato soup & a roll for lunch, flapjack mid-afternoon as all sorts of things were going wrong & I needed five minutes out, then half an onion, half a leek, some mushrooms & a couple of rashers of bacon over courgette "pasta" with a glug of single cream. The last was delicious. DP in unexpectedly out so I was very excited to see my favourite pasta sauce/jacket potato filling ingredients in the freezer but wasn't hungry enough for either pasta or a jacked potato but then remembered reading about courgette "pasta". Whilst googling how I was supposed to cook it, I ate a bit of it raw, realised it was yummy, checked you could indeed eat raw courgette so just had it like that.

dancingwitch · 29/01/2015 21:07

Oh, and whilst I was cooking I had a small slice of pavlova & have felt my brain fizzing ever since. I must stay away from sugar...

dancingwitch · 29/01/2015 21:51

Amroc that dress is stunning. Are you going for the sleeve things or not do you think?

FreakinScaryCaaw · 29/01/2015 23:43

amroc it's beautiful, thanks for showing us it.

I've gone down again. I weighed myself after dancing as wasn't off the floor much.

People commented tonight at dancing, which is always nice.

I had a few G & T's though but that's ok isn't it? Wink

Dress is gorgeous Amroc !!

I'm gonna try that courgette spaghetti at the weekend dancing Think i'm serving it with turkey meatballs mmm :) Lost a measly 1/2lb this week..was disappointed as I tried sooo hard!- declined birthday cake twice even though the whole office was eating it. But that takes me to 5.5lbs this month so that's good!

Todays menu-
B Porridge & banana
L Tuna Mayo Salad, Nakd bar & grapes
D HM chicken curry & basmati rice.

SoonToBeMrsB · 30/01/2015 12:10

Morning all, work has been absolutely balls to the wall this week and I'm knackered! My eating has been up and down, my gym attendance has been non existant patchy but the end is in sight - our big deadline is Wednesday next week. We've cut our terrible intern's placement short so today is her last day as well, thank god. I need my routine (and sanity!) back.

B: 2x small slices seeded toast with a scraping of butter and jam, coffee

L: Baked potato with beans and 25g cheese, yoghurt, 2x tangerines

D: Burrito bowl - chicken breast, fajita seasoning, salsa, salad greek yoghurt in place of sour cream

S: Apple, banana, handful of berries

E: 1hr bootcamp

Dowser · 30/01/2015 12:25

Well didn't just fall on the wagon yesterday I nosedived off it.

Some bad sadnews made me think ' oh bugger it! I had 4 squares of choc and a g and t.

Am feeling much more lively in myself. Day 4 of sad lamp and a week of electrolytes and the old me is coming back.

Thank gawd!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 30/01/2015 13:13

Sorry about your bad news Dowser.

I feel really bloated after the G&Ts, think it's water retention?

I've made beef ghoulash for tonight as have friends over. It's in the slow cooker so I don't need to think about it. I've got crusty bread for them and will do some roast pots. Dp and I will have mashed swede. Starter is tomato and basil soup and need to think about dessert, might be yoghurt based?

I'm going to have some soup soon after I've done some coursework. Am in work all weekend so can't do it then.

OP posts:
gotredonyou · 30/01/2015 13:43

What about a lighter eton mess for dessert freakin?
Greek yoghurt, Meringue nests & berries? x

FreakinScaryCaaw · 30/01/2015 14:34

It's a good idea but we're low carbing. I love eton mess though.

Might make some sort of mousse? Or we have boring fruit and they can have something delicious Grin

OP posts:
gotredonyou · 30/01/2015 15:40

Ah yes forgot about that- when I was low carbing and fancied a sweet breakfast I used to do cream cheese pancakes (full fat cream cheese & egg) with raspberries & zero carb syrup x

FreakinScaryCaaw · 30/01/2015 15:52

Mmm they sound lush. I bought some meringues and raspberries. I'll have that with the guests and dp can have some fruit. He's being very strict but it's paid off, he's lost over a stone!

OP posts:
FreakinScaryCaaw · 30/01/2015 15:57

I just looked up those pancakes they look so easy to do.

OP posts:
Dowser · 30/01/2015 22:17

Yes. It's not good.

Been ok today. Craved chocolate like it was going out of fashion. Managed to limit myself to 5 pieces!

I think there's a lot to do with the weather. Last sunday was 11 now 0 or 1 degree.

I'm sure makes me sluggish and want comfort food.

Been tired today. Didn't sleep well last night at all.

Hope weather perks up tomorrow .
