Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding?

I need to lose at least 2 stone by June.

Tbh I haven't done too bad over Christmas and haven't gained afaik? avoided scales.

I'm 5ft 8 and weigh just over 13 stone. Am a size 14. My stomach is my worst area, legs and arms are fine as are boobs.

I only want to get to a size 12 as don't look so good as a 10. I used to be really skinny when younger and hated it.

Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding? I'm not even looking at dresses yet until I lose some.

I love fifties style dresses too. I just need to getmu currently 33 or was it 34 inch waist down a bit.

Some of you are just tiny.

A bit of a bad night last night . Think I went over on calories.

Can't be bothered to count up. Just drawn a line under it.

Poor Anne kirkbride only 60 . Everyone I know who died last year was 60 or under. There are much worse things than a few extra nibbles.

I'm 63, still here and today's a new day.

downstairs I am a ring size h as well! And have little wrists, I have wide hips though. Just very hourglass shape. So I start to look odd if I get too small.

I have just realised all I have eaten today is two cream eggs! Blush fishfingers sandwiches for dinner as the kids have a friend round. Hmm not sure that's s great diet but surely calorie wise it must be Ok?!

I just picked up my new garmin forerunner 15 so will use that tomorrow for my run, 40 mins pace training, sprints and hills, my legs may ache after!

SoonToBeMrsB · 20/01/2015 17:37

Size H?! My engagement ring is an N and most people tell me that's small, an H wouldn't pass the knuckle of my little finger Blush

5madthings · 20/01/2015 18:19

Yes dp bought me a ring years ago, it was from an antique shop and we had to send it away to get it specially sized as the regular jewelers couldn't size it that small. I hadn't realised my fingers were small, they look fine to me, but the elder three madthings all have bigger hands and feet than me already, ds1 talker than me and Ds2 and ds3 who are 12 and 10 won't be long!

Evening all.

Not been in long from work. 13 hour shift and I didn't eat brilliantly due to short staffing and grabbing what I could.

Breakfast - peanuts and coffee
L - tomato soup
D - chips
Supper dp has made, it's chicken chasseur-ish with brown rice. Am eating it now. Late I know but at least it's a proper meal.

I'll have a better day tomorrow as staffing is good apparently?

Had a good walk today.

Hi, I've had a couple f blips. Haven't filled in Mfp for almost two days.

Haven't been too grand . Sooo tired.

My engagement ring / wedding ring as I'm only having one is quite small too. It's a K and my wrists are quite small. I still manage to pack a 41 - 33- 43 punch though.

weird isn't it..

I don't have a lot of flesh on my face though which is why I can't afford to lose too much though .

Even with the 7-10 lbs I'm hoping to lose ill still be about 40-31-41. Even with the above measurements my ribs and hip bones aren't that far from the surface.

Still onwards and upwards. The day is just starting and I'm tired before I even get out of bed

Yesterday I had the usual breakfast and lunch
. Two chocolate marzipan sweets, 120 for the two
Home made soup, about 100 a bowl not two hundred as I originally thought
Lamb shank, veg and 2 small potato

Some crisps when I was out.

I don't think I had any calories left for them.

Dowser · 21/01/2015 09:34

I was about 80 over on the crisps. Oh well. I'll just suck it up.

What I have noticed is that when I fill in Mfp I'm always roughly 2000 down on the sodium.

Does anyone else have this.

Is this why I'm so tired. I slept 7 1/2 hours last night and I've woken up like I've never been to sleep.

5madthings · 21/01/2015 10:37

My.hips are 41 ish as well, but my bones stick out on them, just really wide. Measurements and weight are funny.

A 4.3 mile run from me after school drop off, time for bfast now, eating Ok apart from yesterday's creme eggs, and they weren't even very.nice!

I haven't been.filling in mfp, I do have it on my phone so will try to.

SoonToBeMrsB · 21/01/2015 13:12

I was stuck in a training course for almost four hours this morning and I almost ran back to the office for my soup. My breakfast held me over from 8am to the back of 12 but those last twenty minutes my stomach started playing whale song for the whole group to enjoy Blush

B: 2x turkey rashers, 2x boiled eggs, rye toast and a quarter of an avocado

L: Ham and lentil soup, WW yoghurt, mango chunks

D: Fish with homemade wedges and 1tbsp brown sauce

S: Apple, 2x tangerines, sugarsnap peas

Dowser · 21/01/2015 14:42

Sounds good Mrs B. I've just had a bowl of home made ham and lentil soup also. Tres yum!

Your menu sounds very good ;-)

Just tried that bl**dy dress on again today in preparation for drag back Friday. ( my make my mind up day to see if they are going back)

It's ok, I'm in oxygen. Tits were a bit bound down but could breathe.

Dilemma?

About to have my juice. Then going to see a friend. I hope I can last food wise till dinner or imay end up eating him!

SoonToBeMrsB · 21/01/2015 15:12

Haha I'm glad it looks good! Wink

Boob flattening is a nightmare when dress shopping, that's why I loooove Pepperberry when I have eleventy million pounds to spend on clothes

Haha I'm glad it looks good!

Lol!

Turkey curry tonight!

Then Big Brov!

Did anyone see last nights?
Try to see the bit where Pricey talks about Her exh Alex Reid. And sex. Wasn't going to bother watching last night as we were out, but glad I did as it was hilarious.

Dowser · 21/01/2015 20:16

I'm going to have to watch it again.....just to make sure I heard right the first time!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 21/01/2015 23:38

Evening all.

Today's not been so good exercise wise. A walk into town and back, probably 2 mile, but not fast paced. Walked the corridors a lot and did fair bit of cleaning.

Food hasn't been too bad. Peanuts for breakfast. Flatbread with cheese and salami from Asda cafe. Dinner was lean lamb sausages, parsnips, brussel sprouts and creamed swede. An orange for a snack. I don't think my sodium will be low somehow with salami and sausages. Thankfully I don't eat like this daily.

The dress came. It's lovely. A bit tight but not too bad and it will fit in time. Plus I can have it altered if it ends up too big hopeful. My boobs look big in it and I'm only a D cup. Must be my ultra slim waist Grin

OP posts:
FreakinScaryCaaw · 21/01/2015 23:39

That should say the dress is lovely. Not sure what happened there?

Great news FSC. I avent even tried one on yet.

The friend I visited yesterday suggested I might suffer from SAD. I hadn't considered this as I'm not depressed . He said a light box might help. Certainly when I looked on amazon and read some of the symptoms it sounded like me to a T.

It might explain the low energy, sheer exhaustion , struggle with my eyesight etc from the minute I wake up and so on despite me having what I think is a healthy diet.

I'm going to look into these light boxes.

dancingwitch · 22/01/2015 08:59

Disastrous few days here. Managed to be good at the buffet but then had dinner with friends so that was too hefty meals in one day & then I got the munchies on the way home & ended up having the "emergency" snacks I keep in my bag for the DC.
Tuesday wasn't too bad but it was supposed to be a fast day and I had two meals so was obviously well over calories.
Yesterday was when I undid the month's good work. Weighed and was still 10st 8 so, to cheer myself up, I had a flake. Like that was going to help the situation. Lunch was a ham & cucumber sandwich so not too bad but then we went to the new Italian in the village where I had 7/8 of a giant Hawaiian pizza and a glass of wine (the latter ignoring diet and dry Jan!) and then came home and had 10 Thorntons chocolates...which I don't even like. 10st 9 this morning & feeling horribly bloated & sick. Definitely a fast day today!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 22/01/2015 09:29

Dowser when did you last see your GP? Maybe have a chat with them?

dancingwitch good luck for today. But well done on the buffet as that's my total downfall!

Breakfast today was scrambled egg with chopped bacon. Dp and I are off today so he did it for me.

I'm going to try to low carb. I feel full for longer when I do this.

Not sure what my exercise will be today but we have our grandson today. He's 10 months so we're always on the go with him. I think a nice walk along Seaton Carew with either his baby trike or buggy?

Morning all,

No power walks this week as we have so much snow!! Really hoping for a loss tomorrow as I've stuck to low gi/no dairy all week (apart from menu tasting on Sunday) Not feeling any thinner though hmmm

Todays menu-
B Porridge made with almond milk & banana
L HM Veg Soup, Grapes & Almonds.
D Turkey Mince stuffed peppers x

Dowser · 22/01/2015 09:36

Oh Dear Dancing Witch.

Well pick yourself up and start afresh.

Do you think you might have a gluten intolerance. Was just thinking that you had bread for lunch and a lot of bread ( pizza base ) for dinner.

I was shocked when 17 years ago I found out I was intolerant to wheat. I also struggle with dairy and too much sugar.

Can I suggest rather than giving your body a shock of going from a feast to a famine is just to eat lightly today.

Something easy on the digestion....maybe some home made veg soup. That one OH makes with the veg, pease pudding( aka puréed lentils) is tasty and gives you protein and vitamins and minerals without being too taxing on your stomach.

It's just that you've had a spike in your blood sugar from all those carbs and your body might be looking for some food as medecine. I would give it a green juice as soon as you can tolerate it and some soup later.

Lots of water. Maybe peppermint tea. Nettle tea is very good for cleansing the system.

Flaxseed oil is very good but you must keep it in the fridge and use quickly as it goes rancid within a short time.

Oh yes, munch on apple a couple of times in the day. Although high in sugar the pectin is very good for cleansing the system.

SoonToBeMrsB · 22/01/2015 09:38

Well, yesterday ended with me face-first in a vat of crisps and chocolate so that's IT, I'm weaning myself off of refined white carbs and sugar. I'm sick of feeling like a sack of shit, I'm knackered and my skin is horrible. I'm keeping some fruit, I'll try to stick to low GI carbs and up my fat/protein. It might take a few weeks to get a balance but I seriously need a kick up the arse. Today looks like this:

B: Baked oatmeal with stewed apple and greek yoghurt, coffee

L: Ham and lentil soup, 2x tangerines, greek yoghurt

D: Leftover brisket chilli, brown rice

S: Mango chunks

Dowser · 22/01/2015 09:42

I keep away from doctors lol!

I went last year with same symptoms . Had bloods tested and everything supposedly was fine. Once I'm in the sunshine, I'm a different person. Bags of energy. It's just here with the cold, the grey skies, the damp and cutting winds.

Nice menu got red. I too don't feel any thinner but my focus this week has been on feeling better.

Have a good day everyone. Make some good choices.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 22/01/2015 09:44

Soon your menu sounds lovely.

Crisps were my big downfall but seem to have lost the urge? Someone at work offered me a bag of Walkers cheese and onion yesterday and I refused. I used to love them. Another staff member offered me a big orange and I took that. Not sure how good they are for dieters though as so sweet.
