Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding?

I need to lose at least 2 stone by June.

Tbh I haven't done too bad over Christmas and haven't gained afaik? avoided scales.

I'm 5ft 8 and weigh just over 13 stone. Am a size 14. My stomach is my worst area, legs and arms are fine as are boobs.

I only want to get to a size 12 as don't look so good as a 10. I used to be really skinny when younger and hated it.

Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding? I'm not even looking at dresses yet until I lose some.

Was annoyed to be 10st 8 this morning but not too surprised given yesterday's consumption. I am in the dress I wanted to wear today so that is good.
I skipped breakfast at home this morning as wasn't hungry & knew there would be a buffet at the wake but then realised I wouldn't be eating the buffet until at least 2.00pm so grabbed a yogurt with granola at the station along with a skinny latte. I must eat mind fully at the buffet - especially if I want to be 10st 5 at the party on Sat.
I don't think we need another thread. I've been on weight loss threads on MN before and it is usually the case that you get down to a core of daily & less-often-but-still-regular posters within a few weeks. I find the thread really helpful especially as I try not to speak about it at home as DD is 5 now & I don't really want her to hear me going on about it.

Love the sound of wedding menu and today's menu

Dowser · 19/01/2015 10:41

That was for got red.

I've been good. Everything counted in. On Friday will see if it's drag dresses back day or not!

OkyDoke · 19/01/2015 10:46

Had a naughty weekend :( haven't dared weigh myself this morning. Maybe tomorrow.

SoonToBeMrsB · 19/01/2015 10:54

I did have a cheeky weigh in this morning and I seem to be holding steady since "official" WI on Wednesday morning. That's usually a good sign by this point, it tends to mean that I'll get a nice drop on the scales when it comes to my official day to weigh. Fingers crossed...

FreakinScaryCaaw · 19/01/2015 11:23

I've lost another pound. I'm beginning to feel it now. Look trimmer around my waist.

Dancingwitch how tall are you? 10 st 8 is pretty light.

I'm only 5'4" so still an "over weight" BMI & dreadful waist measurements. I need to be 10st 4 to be a healthy weight

gotredonyou · 19/01/2015 12:29

Thanks Dowser- forgot to mention the goats cheese tart as the veggie option!
We were looking at honeymoons again this weekend so I thought I would try on some bikinis to assess the areas for improvement! I need to tone my arms, legs, stomach, hips, bum, back (everywhere) and I need to lose fat mainly on my lower body eeeeek!! x

FreakinScaryCaaw · 19/01/2015 12:51

My waist is my problem area too. BMI for me is around 27 think it should be 24?

Lunch changed. Dp and I made Ceviche, nice dish with prawns, greek yoghurt, lime etc.. Was delicious.

I'm 5' 4" and healthy for me is 7st 10lbs - 10st 6lbs according to the NHS.

Not that I'm anywhere near that range yet!

Dowser · 19/01/2015 16:11

Day progressing pretty much as usual. As in

Usual brekkie, usual lunch, usual snacks.

Only thing that changes is evening meal.

Writing out wedding invitations.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 19/01/2015 17:16

Soon NHS say I need to lose 2 st 11lb....no chance! I'd not look good.

A guy I work with is so trim and toned. He's classed as almost obese yet if you looked at him you'd say he was fit. It's mind boggling sometimes.

Funniest thing for me was I once had to go to a heart clinic, I'd had chest pains. (anxiety related in the end) Anyway, the nurse was lecturing me on healthy living. She was obese! Struggled to get up. And she wasn't pg.

I think if you feel good and know you're living healthily it's best not to get too worried. We're all made differently. That's how I feel anyway.

Dinner tonight is now this. Nice cod bought from the fishmonger. I didn't have gherkins so mixed in some sandwich spread. Tastes lush. Just waiting for fish and chips to cook, almost done Smile

When is your wedding Dowser? I was going to make my invitations for the wedding as don't need many. I'll probably just buy them on ebay? I'm buying party ones as will need over 40 of them.

I've been browsing for table decorations today. I've ordered the bunting on Amazon. Got 80ft in total.

Dowser · 19/01/2015 17:40

Sept 2015.

I just bought them from the card factory. £1-50 for 10 . I don't need many either and it's not like anyone doesn't know.

I do a fairly good italic script with a calligraphy pen so I'm just filling them in myself.

5madthings · 19/01/2015 18:51

I got invites from confetti.Co.UK? They do sone nice ones and the ones I got fitted the vintage theme and were £3? For 20? I was amazed,at how much you could pay for invites! I bought some 'naice' paper and did a letter to go with the invites and put confetti and metallic heart sprinkles in the envelopes!

Our wedding was a surprise until the invites, went out! Dp and I have been together 17 yrs, and I think everyone assumed we would never get married, so we had lots of phone callsetc when the invites arrived. Not even our parents knew until they got an invite!

Food today, no bfast but had a birthday lunch at nandos.... Mackerel, new pots and veg for dinner tonight and bday, cake, but I just got back from a four mile run.

Oh I got new bras today, my underbust measurements have gone down from 32 to 30 inches, my boobs haven't got any smaller, still a gg cup.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 19/01/2015 21:09

I wish I had nice writing Dowser. I could always get someone from work to write them out for me? Some of them have lovely writing. I envy it when I read the care plans Grin

Well done on the 2 inch loss 5mad. I can't find my tape measure? Think I'll need to invest in a new one? My dress is 32 in waist so am hoping I'm not far off that?

My fiancé is a graphic designer so he is designing and printing our invites. We've done like a little pack with a save the date, venue details, gift poem etc.. I just need to buy some ribbon and coloured envelopes then they are ready to send :)

Todays menu-
B Granola, Almond mik & berries.
L Tuna Salad, Apple nakd bar
D Sausage & Tomato with WM pasta.

SoonToBeMrsB · 20/01/2015 09:37

Morning! I didn't get to bootcamp last night as I was working late - I'm supervising an intern for half of every day and she's worse than useless, which is really having a knock-on effect with my own workload. Trying to refrain from stress eating, which is easier said than done...

B: Shredded Wheat with banana, coffee

L: Homemade ham and lentil soup, 2x tangerines, WW yoghurt

D: Slow cooked brisket chilli, 40g rice

S: Apple, mango, handful of berries

downstairs I haven't tried any on! Am having one made for me, 50's style, I provide the measirends and they make it to fit. The dress has a lace up back as well which means there is some give. Bit yes small waist and big boobs can make things difficult. My waist is not as small as yours, currently 30" and with weight loss/exercise should get down to 29 maybe 28. I have classic hourglass shape.

Honeypieboutique.Co.UK is where my dress is from, but I have sent them pics of the top that I want as it's slightly different from the styles have offer, they are happy to make it custom :)

Will make.sure.I have it a few weeks before the date so I can get it altered if necessary.

I know, I'm short but I have big boobs and massive hips, even saying the words "seven stone ten" sounds bloody ridiculous. I'm aiming for 10st 7lbs first off and then I'll go to wherever feels comfortable and maintainable. There's no point in me rushing off to get to 8st if it's a daily struggle to stay there.

I'm not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow, yesterday was a food-heavy day and the scales aren't being kind this morning. I'm eating light, drinking plenty of water and hoping even for a maintain.

5madthings · 20/01/2015 12:26

Re weight, I am 5 2 and just over ten stone currently, am aiming to get to 9 stone 7. But if I go much lower than that I start to look ridiculous. My waist gets smaller, as do my thighs but my boobs stay the same, so I just end up top heavy. When Ds2 was little I got down to 9 stone, Suze eight jeans but bojbs the same, gg cup and I just started to look daft.

Am happy under ten stone when I can wear size ten jeans. But still have a curvy and in proportion body shape.

I am active, running and I Walk and cycle everywhere and try and swim once a week, 80 lengths in an hour. So I think muscle added weight. I will never be super slim, I don't have that natural body shape. But toned and ten pounds lighter is a reasonable aim!

Despite my nandos yesterday the scales were kind and I have stayed the same. I can't fit in a run today due to dps shifts but will run tomorrow, thu and Saturday. Cycling school run and to pta meeting this eve so that will be at least 8 miles of cycling, most of that with a toddler in bike seat. I say toddler, madthing5 is just 4 and weighs 16kg?

5madthings · 20/01/2015 12:28

Bmi is a useful tool, but I never get below a Bmi of 23/24. But my waist is less than half my height which is should be apparently. I have swimmers arms/shoulders as well. That's years of long distance swimming for you!

5madthings · 20/01/2015 12:32

I haven't been 8 stone something since I was 15?! Not a chance of getting there. I can get down to nine stone but I end up busting a gut to stay there. After five babies I am quite happy to be toned and a bit curvy with a Bmi of 24 and healthy waist measurements. Am not prepared to bust a gut to stay at a body shape that just doesn't suit me!

5madthings · 20/01/2015 12:37

Here is me in a 50's dress just before Xmas and a wiggle dress last sept for my grandparents diamond wedding, so you can see my shape. I am a little bit skimmer, more toned than I was then. Those styles really flatter my figure.
