I'm constantly starting bullshit diets and giving up within a week.

I feel I need people to do this with me so I don't just not bother!

Healthy eating (read:not bullshit diet) and exercise plan to get fantastic results!

Oooops someone is leaving today to have a baby and they made the nicest cake I have ever tasted. Cocoa I believe! And chocolate and biscuits!

Today has turned into fat Friday.

Everyone else????

Has this thread died a death or are we all still hugely motivated???

We have all drowned in melted chocolate and ice cream.

McBear · 22/10/2014 14:29

Oh dear! Do we start again or admit defeat?

OP posts:
ihatethecold · 22/10/2014 14:54

No. I'm doing ok. Still at it.
How are you doing Mc bear?
I tried 1 square of dark choc last night.
Kept me awake for ages Blush

McBear · 22/10/2014 15:16

Dark chocolate is healthy AND a doctor told me chocolate is good for kids (so obviously must be for adults) due to something in it. Thinking lachtites or similar...

No weight loss yet.

You?

OP posts:
ihatethecold · 22/10/2014 16:03

Half a stone so far in 3 weeks.
The problem I had with chocolate is I liked it too much and it was giving me headaches.

McBear · 22/10/2014 18:19

Do you know why it was giving you headaches?

OP posts:
McBear · 22/10/2014 18:19

And well done. Great weightloss

OP posts:
ihatethecold · 22/10/2014 18:20

Probably the caffeine.

IAmNotDarling · 22/10/2014 18:28

I'm in but I'm struggling with losing anything at all!

McBear · 22/10/2014 21:03

Oh dear is there much caffeine in chocolate?

Same as me iamnotdarling. Highly frustrating. I've been given some polish cuppa soup that's cucumber flavour and beautiful. It's only 60 calories a cup and much better than the uk one.

OP posts:
ihatethecold · 22/10/2014 21:35

I think there can be in dark chocolate.
I don't have any caffeine in hot drinks. Makes me feel ill.

McBear · 23/10/2014 05:41

You must be very very sensitive to it. I have a colleague/friend who can't drink Pepsi because of the caffeine but he is extremely healthy. He eats grains. Like a meal will be fish and grains.

I've got a bad cold and I'm not hungry at all this morning. Still eating for some reason but I imagine I won't take in many calories today Grin

Losing weight and getting healthy is not about eating very little.
It's about changing habits that are making you feel under the weather or making you hold on to weight.
Habits that can become lifelong changes.
Eating a low calorie processed diet won't make you fighting fit.
You will be low on energy and prone to picking up every cough and cold going.

McBear · 23/10/2014 19:06

My very little is the average persons daily amount. This is a big part of my problem. Or was. I have cut down greatly though I'm still not ok with the portions I choose for myself. This is why I find one chicken breast/one gammon and salad much better than say a homemade stew or similar as I eat bigger portions than I should and therefore still have more calories in than out.

I'm doing really well with regards to processed food. I thank Lidl for that Grin

I generally don't get sick. I cockily said to DP last week 'I won't catch it, I never do'. I do think the vast amounts I previously ate stopped me from getting I'll but 3000 calories minimum a day isn't good for anyone. Especially of rubbish.

I might start buying quinoa. Everyone's talking about it... Wink
