Hello again!
So to update, had some porridge for breakfast and had a 20 min swim. Wish I had longer but that was all the time DP could spare to watch my dd. better than nothing and hope to excersise some more this evening.what is everyone eating / intending to eat today?

epifunny · 13/10/2014 12:05

mcbear my all time favourites are choco leibniz, borders chocolate gingers, tunnocks caramel wafers and tesco value milk chocolate digestives when i'm over budget -can you see a bit of a theme here?

But there are none in the house to tempt me at the moment. The DDs are complaining but it's the only way as I can't resist biscuits if they're sitting in the cupboard.

ihatethecold · 13/10/2014 12:32

Stop talking about biscuits.
Not helping anyone!Hmm

Talk about kale and wholegrain rice.

AnnabellesMumXx · 13/10/2014 12:37

I had to get my Dp to hide all our household goodies because I can't be trusted.

McBear · 13/10/2014 13:44

I like your taste in biscuits. I'm really not fussy. I'll take anything.

I've been told tho so I won't mention anything else! Wink

I've eaten peanut butter on toast and a banana for breakfast, scotch broth soup and a baguette for lunch and just had a cuppa soup for my actual lunch at lunch time. Gammon and mixed veg for tea if hungry.

I've not even been interested in sweets and so far have had the day from hell. I work with cunts. Confused

Can I join?

I am 61kg and at 4ft11 I need to shift some weight.

So today I have had a bowl of cereal, milk and tons of sugar Sad I love sugar. I eat sugar lumps as a treat, though as I don't like chocolate I don't see it as a bad thing Grin

So haven't had lunch. So just going to make a ham, cheese and tomato sandwich.

I walked to the library though earlier and took out a sugar detox book, fairly sure sugar lumps will be a no no Sad but my walk there and back burned 400 calories so very happy.

Will also add I have no will power so expect me to be posting I've ate a whole tub of pringles to myself and guzzled a bottl of irn bru (my other wee treat). If I do please feel free to shout at me.

amigababy · 13/10/2014 16:28

really feel for you McBear, I had a crap boss for 10 years, so many times I was close to leaving. She's the owner too. Due to ill health she's taken a back seat and we have a lovely new boss, 16 years younger than me, and the calmest most rational person I've ever met. Its like a revolution! Hope things improve for you.

Food today : Protein shake breakfast, banana and latte 11a.m. Lunch tortellini and Mediterranean veg, then Greek yoghurt. Tonight probably halloumi omelette.

And 2 Pilates DVDs done. I gave up on walking. Ihate the cold too!

How was the Scotch broth? I've been in the lentil soup kitchen again.

Only jaffa cakes are deadly here, I can ignore the rest. dh is a biscuit monster though.

amigababy · 13/10/2014 16:33

love the biscuity detail epifunny. Obviously a connoisseur!

McBear · 13/10/2014 19:58

I fucking hate it there some days. Can't be arsed with much more billshit but I have no self confidence (which this place is slowly crushing the last ounces of) and doubt I could get another job with the same wage elsewhere. Not that it's a good wage for what I do.

13 hour day today. Hmm

Everyone has done amazing. I got home at around 7.15. Starting to get hungry Confused

Scotch broth wasn't great. Don't think I'll buy it again. I may make cucumber soup. DP has made a stew thing. As long as he hasn't put chillies in it I'll be stealing some Grin

OP posts:
McBear · 13/10/2014 20:49

Grrr. Bad day worse. Even though I paid for all the ingredients of DPs stew, I'm not allowed any. And it's got chillies in Angry

McBear · 14/10/2014 07:15

Being naughty. I've bought an energy drink. The monster energy ripper one. It's sweet and beautiful. Going to drink it when I get to work. Late again.

I've got tomato soup today. I really know how to mix things up Wink

FFS, I don't know why I press post instead of enter.

Two people just walked passed me with Taylor swift on full blast. They both chuckled. Blush

Any body lost any more weight?

What are we all eating today?

Any other news?

ihatethecold · 14/10/2014 07:24

McBear.
I'm coming round to give you an intervention.
I'll have a word with your shitty boss aswell.
I think your maybe not in the right headspace to do this right now.
It sounds like life is getting in the way?

McBear · 14/10/2014 11:36

Are you kicking me off my own thread?

No, everything is fine. I was simply exceptionally miserable yesterday. I'm not going down that route today! No way! Happy happy happy!

Both bosses are miserable as sin again but I won't catch it! You can still talk to them if you like Wink

ihatethecold · 14/10/2014 12:05

Good on you McBear. Wink

Asteria · 14/10/2014 12:52

Afternoon all. I'm struggling and need a bit of motivation! Still in a lot of pain from the spine op and spending a lot of time either laying in front if the TV or hobbling about (only way I can get remotely comfortable). Craving starchy foods - getting a lot of side effects from the massive painkillers. I had a ramen (Japanese broth with veg and noodles) for supper last night and then after a bad night I ate half a packet of chocolate biscuits for breakfast. Just about to hobble round Aldi - what can I get to snack on that isn't going to ruin me totally?

fibromum · 14/10/2014 13:21

Asteria sorry to hear your back is still sore.

McBear glad to hear you are feeling happier today. Don't know how you can do a 13 hour shift and still want to eat healthy. I did nightshift for 4 years. 10hour shifts and I have never been so unhealthy. No motivation to do anything.

Thankfully I now work days and it's so much easier.

So today we have been lazy as it's the school holidays and no where to go. I plan though to do a hundred step ups on the kitchen stool. Have done 20 so far.

Going to start the 3 day sugar detox on Thursday. Off to a friends with the kids tomorrow and she is a feeder lol and it would be rude to refuse.

ihatethecold · 14/10/2014 16:36

Ok so Aldi shopping.
Get sliced cooked meat, cottage cheese, eggs, smoked salmon, Greek yoghurt, salad. Fruit esp berries.
Chicken breasts, pork mince.
Get courgettes to make courgetti with.
Leeks and root veg to make soup.
Tinned tomatoes to make your own pasta sauces. No sugar added then.

amigababy · 14/10/2014 18:22

Hope you feel better soon Asteria. Is ramen nice,? Is it easy to make?

I'm a Lidl girl but second the Greek yoghurt. Good stuff. Nuts are good snacks if you have a stop button. I don't overeat plain Brazil nuts but I'd eat salted cashews or peanuts endlessly. Chopped hazelnuts are nice on the Greek yoghurt!

Asteria · 14/10/2014 19:53

DH put chocolate brioche in the trolley....
Ramen is super easy to make. I make a bastardised version - miso soup with sliced ginger, spring onions, lemongrass, chilli, asparagus, baby corn and carrots (use peeler to cut thin ribbons) -brown off the chicken in sesame oil and throw that in the miso/veg with some soba noodles.
Must admit I'm more of a Lidl person - the bread is better. All the squash is no added sugar in Aldi which sends the DC bat shit crazy - I won't have it in the house!

McBear · 14/10/2014 19:54

Probably a bit late now but I snack on carrot sticks and natural yoghurt with grapes/berries in it.

Turned into a bad day at work. Turned into an even worse day at home. I told DP I was upset he'd cooked using food I'd paid for and not allowed me to have any. He said 'when you exercise 9 times a week and are on a restricted diet, you'll understand' and got all huffy and transferred 4.50 into my bank. When he got home he was still huffy and I asked him if he was still ok to have Monday and Tuesday off as CM needs to go to her dads funeral and then a day off after to recover. He suddenly has no recollection of me asking and certainly not of him agreeing to do both days and will now only do one. Asking for holiday is not something I want to do when my boss is pissed off at me Hmm

OP posts:
epifunny · 14/10/2014 23:22

I find corn thins a good snack as they satisfy my need for something crunchy ( from the biscuit addiction) and taste like popcorn, but they haven't any sugar or junk in them, just maize, sunflower oil and salt. 23 cals per corn thin.
You have my sympathies Asteria, pain and taking strong painkillers is no fun at all.
I've been quite good today ( no wine / biscuits) and even made it to the gym. I'll weigh myself tomorrow- I usually try to no more than twice a week.

McBear · 15/10/2014 05:31

Fook sake. I ate so well yesterday and I've woken up a kilo heavier Hmm

I really sympathise too asteria, it sounds so painful for you. Have they given you decent pain killers?

OP posts:
Asteria · 15/10/2014 11:51

I have had Oromorph but am only on paracetamol and Ibruprofen now. I'm a sensitive souls and can't take any of the fun stuff Grin
I think my scales are broken - it does nothing for a week, drops half a stone overnight and then puts it back on during the course of the next day! WTF?! Last night DH said "I love some of your rolls" - I don't even know what that is meant to mean??!

AnnabellesMumXx · 15/10/2014 12:32

Hello all!
Astoria my scales do the same think j get all different varied readings all the time... They are weight watcher ones. Are yours?
Mcbear sounds like u are having a bad time lately, my DP gets stroppy like that at times . Similar to a child really, a tantrum will equal he needs feeding and/or a nap! If I can encourage him to eat a snack and have a little sleep my life improves considerably!

So I've tried a new recipe out of the clean and lean book called super mince! I would 100% recommend it for anyone who likes bolognese. It's mince and veg (I sneaked an oxo in there though) but ideally you eat it alone without the pasta.
www.bodyism.com/recipe-super-mince/
There's a link I found for it very tasty and filling.

What is everyone eating today? I'm off to the gym now with my little cousin we are working out and swimming too! We got a free pass to Virgin active which is very posh compared to my regular gym!
