Asteria · 12/10/2014 20:28

I think that we should all adhere to Sunday being an official "day of rest" - much less guilt that way... Cake Wine Grin

Hi everyone! Sorry for delay in my reply I've been too busy ruining my diet and putting all my weight back on Hmm
I am officially back 'on it' got my shopping list prepared for the 14 day clean and lean diet and I also plan to go swimming too.
Has anyone tried the couch to 5k or whatever it is ? With my recent efforts i had been feeling considerably more fit than ever before and decided to take a fit test in the gym. It reported that I was below average Confused
Damn.

Stewedcoot · 13/10/2014 00:39

Another one starting again today/tomorrow. And I've been on the Wine too... .

McBear · 13/10/2014 05:10

Amiga it looks like a white cocktail to me. Again... Lost!

Ok so after our official 'say of rest' are we back on it????

Monday weigh in back to 65kg. Thank god no higher. I'm so tired. My alarm went off and I was lying there awake thinking 'I'd better move DD into her room so I can get a decent nights sleep and then BOOM. not impressed.

100 sit ups done. Toast just popped. Think I'm going to try scotch broth soup at work today. Hope it's not vile.

Was aiming to be at work for 5.30 today... Confused

Hi everyone, did ok over the weekend while still being relaxed. I reckon if I give myself a day off each week, it will motivate me to make better choices. I certainly didn't hit the snacks after some wine this time so I'm hoping that counts!

McBear · 13/10/2014 06:44

Well done. Certainly counts.

From what I've been told tho, wine is quite bad for calories. One week DP drank wine spritzers instead of our vodka and diet lemonade/coke and he put on weight despite 7 gym sessions a week and careful eating!

Tiredemma · 13/10/2014 06:49

Can I join?

I'm 63kg (but 4'11" so looking a bit stocky!!)

5.2 diet really worked for me earlier in the year and I got down from 65kg to 58kg but it's creeping back on.

I have a 13month old DD ( as well as 14 and 11 year old boys)- very little time for 'me/exercise')

I'm feeling crap about myself and would value some motivation!!

McBear · 13/10/2014 06:59

Of course. I did that last year and it was really good.

We'll motivate you as best we can... But don't count on us at the weekends... Shock

ihatethecold · 13/10/2014 07:22

Erm. Mcbear. Speak for yourself! Wink

ihatethecold · 13/10/2014 07:23

Ok so I've done a weigh in.
I've now lost 7lbs in 2 weeks.
Yay.

Asteria · 13/10/2014 07:28

My theory, regarding beig a bit slack at weekends, is that at some point we will all get to our desired weight/size and if we immediately start eating normally again then we will be lardies again by the end of the first month. The day of rest will keep us motivated, less likely to binge and go "oh sod it".

Asteria · 13/10/2014 07:31

I motion we throw ihatethecold out for being so smug this early on a Monday morning...
(You are welcome to come back and do it later - just not SO early!) Wink

ihatethecold · 13/10/2014 07:36

I'll get me coat!

amigababy · 13/10/2014 07:47

weighed in at 72.5kg, half a kg lost. Not bad to say the middle of last week was a write off. I didn't do my 2 hours exercise yesterday, did 1 hour 20. So 1 hour 40 needed to catch up today. More walking I reckon as its easy. And not raining.

Well done ihate, that's great weight loss. Hello to stewedcoot and Tiredemma.

10 weeks till Christmas, that's a potential stone its possible to lose by then. That's do-able.

McBear · 13/10/2014 08:19

No asteria, we need the smug one to keep us all motivated.

Well done Amiga!

Today won't be a write off but I am preparing myself for a need to five into sweets as I love my job soooo much. On Friday one of the bosses (but not my boss) told me to 'leave now, before I show you how pissed off I am'. We have a long history of petty arguments because she's a bitch. She's still being off with me to a degree.

The pa is off, I've just discovered and as that was my old job here I am to cover so my already busy day just got manic.

DP and DD are still in bed cuddled up, it's pouring with rain and that's where I want to be. Hmm

epifunny · 13/10/2014 09:14

If it's not too crowded already, can I join?
I want to lose 10kg for Xmas too and started a week ago, so 9kg to lose now- my target is 59kg. I got down to 64kg a few months ago but then put it all back on when I broke my ankle.
My downfalls are chocolate, wine and biscuits so trying to cut those out.
Looks like you're all off to a great start, but weekends are definitely tough!

McBear · 13/10/2014 10:49

Always room for one more! That's also my philosophy on cakes

OP posts:
McBear · 13/10/2014 10:51

Posted too soon!

What kind of biscuits? Everything you listed is my downfall too.

Asteria · 13/10/2014 11:27

Well I have decided that if I can't control myself near the fridge/food cupboard, then I should avoid the kitchen altogether! I scuttled in for some herbal tea earlier and have been avoiding their siren calls ever since.
I have decided to try and do the 5:2 approach - my lovely nurse neighbour had amazing results. She also assured me that I could safely do 4:3 for a few weeks to really kick start. Today I will mostly be sipping herbal tea and eating ramen type foods. I will avoid cake and sin on my other days too.
