He's back now. No pizza. Said he didn't want it. He did get the milk I needed tho. Well one pint. I never buy less than four so I'll have to go tomorrow anyway.

I've just back from the gym. (2k on cross trainer and arm day) He's tidied the kitchen and done a fantastic job. He's in the living room on his phone, no tv on. I fart about getting prepared for the next day and come back n he's on sofa, eyes closed, no tv on. I ask if he wants to go to bed... No. Shall I put a film on then?... No. At a loss so I've decided to get out of his hair and go to bed. I'm nervous he'll not come to this bed tho...

How are you guys all doing?

Asteria · 09/10/2014 15:02

Bloody men!

I'm having a productive day cooking healthy stuff to put in the freezer. I will struggle this weekend as we have the DSC here from Friday to Monday - going out for Sunday lunch so will just have to be careful not to overdo pudding! Felt good about yesterday as DH and I went out to wagamamas for lunch.
Any ideas for meals that we can all have but will accommodate my dieting and DSC being extraordinarily fussy?

McBear · 09/10/2014 15:12

What kind of fussy? What do they like?

I've just had a small blip. Three doughnuts in a row Blush

yesterday was a write off. Sorry, huge carb fest, intended to go to the cinema but didn't even want to leave the sofa. Felt yuck ( who said carbs make us feel better??! )

Gently returning to normal today but can't get going to exercise.

Impressive turn at the gym McBear, Fab! And good job batch cooking Asteria. Something I mean to do but haven't yet.

In the fug of last night I dug out my old mp3 player ( bear with me) as it has the Paul McKenna I can make you thin track on. I want to change my behavior around food as setting rules just makes me kick back and rebel heavily. So I'm going to listen to that each day.

amigababy · 09/10/2014 16:03

oh, lentil soup was very nice for lunch yesterday, warming.
Today I had pizza which I normally wouldn't. But I only had half, again I normally wouldn't Grin

McBear · 09/10/2014 18:04

Have you got a recipe for lentil soup? What does it taste like? Well done on only having half!

I know what you mean about the rules, I'm exactly the same but I'm finding it easier this time for some reason. I think it's because there is a girl at my work who looked beautifully thin and her husband told me her weight. It was my goal weight and the weight I always used to be. There was a stark difference in my weight and hers and it was a kick start. She's leaving work next week to have a baby but she still weighs less than me.

Saying all that, I've got a dominos on the way Blush decided to make a day of it and just do well over the weekend as I was going to give myself a treat then. Why not...

I sweated an onion in sunflower oil, added 2 chopped carrots and a teaspoon of Lazy Chilli. Then added 200g red lentils, a kettle full of boiling water and a vegetable stock cube. Bring to the boil, simmer about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
I could have blended it bit didn't, so it was a bit like lentil porridge! But nice.

My main motivation is the number of clothes that no longer fit. I'm 20 pounds off that. Anything more is a bonus.

Enjoy the pizza, tonight I'm having Linda McCartney sausages with (small portion of) pasta.
No exercise today. It will happen - eventually! How often do you get to the gym?

McBear · 09/10/2014 18:53

Sounds simple enough to try! Not really sure what a lentil or lazy chili is tho Blush

I've eaten half my pizza and am about to explode. I saved the best half til last. Not sure what to do. Can't eat it tonight. Looks like pizza tomorrow too Confused

McBear · 09/10/2014 18:56

Oh and the gym...

I aim for mon, wed, thurs and sat or Sunday.

I'm obviously not going tonight. Extremely rarely go on a weekend.
Didn't go for three weeks before this week where I managed mon and wed.

Hi all,

Going well here. Luckily am miles from anywhere so much as I would like to there is no chance of me falling headfirst into pizza or doughnuts Grin

Swam for 45 mins today, porridge for breakfast, smoked fish salad for lunch, lentil soup and a sandwich for tea. Another 2lbs gone this morning - hooray.

McBear · 09/10/2014 20:19

Excellent goldfish! How many lbs is that now then?

OP posts:
ihatethecold · 09/10/2014 21:23

McBear. I'm curious. What was the woman's weight?

GoldfishSpy · 10/10/2014 05:11

Since the end of August, I've lost 22lbs. I did have a baby on 15th Aug though, so I am guessing quite a lot of that is post birth water loss etc.

I have a LOT to lose. I currently weigh 17st 13lbs. My goal weight is 10 1/2 st. The last time I weighed that, I was 11. Blush

McBear · 10/10/2014 05:37

Ihate 57kg so about 9 stone. She had terrible morning sickness the first trimester and lost quite a bit of weight. About a month ago she had put on 6kg obv will be more now. Her baby is the perfect size but she didn't really start to look pregnant til 30 weeks.

I'm hoping for around 57 anyway.

How much were you pre pregnancy goldfish? I put on 30kg during pregnancy but lost it fairly quickly. Sounds like your losing it even quicker Grin

Morning, everyone. Still doing well but coming into the danger zone - the weekend! Always stuff up by overdoing the Wine and then stuffing my face with crisps or chocolate. DH is trying to do this with me too so hopefully we'll be a good influence on each other.

McBear · 10/10/2014 05:57

I drink vodka and diet lemonade and coke. It's the drink of angels. DP says it's really low calorie and the only thing he'll drink...

I haven't got out of bed yet. I just can't do it. I'm normally showered, eaten and dressed by now. More than grateful it's Friday.

OP posts:
SwearySwearyQuiteContrary · 10/10/2014 06:05

Might try that instead of wine, or a G & slimline T. I've been a bit sluggish too for the last couple of days. I think it's the reduction in calorie intake and my body adjusting to it. Hopefully it will ease off in a couple of days.

McBear · 10/10/2014 06:27

Are you colder too?

I'm always like this. I insist on going to bed at a normal hour for the normal person but I have my alarm set for 4.50. DD never sleeps through. Last night was a bad night.

I've actually felt better once I am awake tho. Just weighed myself. Put on a kilo Confused. That'll be the pizza.

OP posts:
amigababy · 10/10/2014 18:57

I'm looking forward to a better sleep tonight with it being weekend.
It was another evening of snacking last night, but that's it now. No more. Getting strict.
Proper meals ( more lentil soup for lunch! ) and get this! 9 HOURS of exercise a week. That's an hour a day, plus and extra hour Saturday and Sunday. Not necessarily strenuous, it could be yoga and walking . I've got the time, its just willpower and not making excuses.

well done Goldfish. all weight loss is to be celebrated! and Congrats on dbaby.
At one point when I was about 22 I was 57 kg. I was exercising a lot and enjoying it. Then stuff happened and Ive never been that weight again. I'm currently 74 kg and want to be 60 kg really.

amigababy · 10/10/2014 19:01

(not bad stuff! Just the vagaries of life, that were a bit tricky at the time. It sounded a bit dramatic there! )

McBear · 10/10/2014 19:29

Ooooh, nine hours. Get you! We will do this together!!!!!!

When I was 57kg I never exercised but I was 19 and DP tells me I rarely ate. I think I just never ate in front of him. New love and that.

So is your exercise etc starting tomorrow? That's a big weightloss but it's about equal to mine so we can do it together, every step of the way Grin

Ha! started today. Did 45 minutes Pilates DVD and 15 minutes of an old Ministry of Sound Pump it up DVD. Very old-skool!

Do you have a time target? Mine is holidays next Spring Bank. Bikini time!

McBear · 10/10/2014 20:06

I really wanted that DVD!!!! Is it cheesy as well as old school?

I didn't but people up thread mentioned Xmas. I'm think 5kg loss by Xmas is healthy and achievable...
