I'm constantly starting bullshit diets and giving up within a week.

I feel I need people to do this with me so I don't just not bother!

Healthy eating (read:not bullshit diet) and exercise plan to get fantastic results!

Hello Amiga! Another carb queen! You'll feel right at home!

What's a flagstone floor?

OP posts:
ihatethecold · 07/10/2014 18:56

It's like having your patio in your house Grin

Asteria · 07/10/2014 18:57

Fine now thanks - I have gin and cigarettes. We supposedly gave up but desperate times and all that....

Nice to see new faces are still arriving

Asteria · 07/10/2014 19:17

Ha! They are a bit nicer than having the patio in the house! It is the original flooring from 1800.

ihatethecold · 07/10/2014 20:08

I know. I'm just jealous asteria.

McBear · 07/10/2014 20:23

Oh god, did it survive the blast?

I'm jealous too. I've only got ceramic tiles that are 9.99pm2 at focus! Confused

Back again. I just followed McBear s link to metabolic modifiers. I'm consoling myself that I'm doing #2, playing with carbs Smile Low levels for 3 days then a bloomin high level today!! It would probably help if they weren't all sugary carbs though.
Made lentil soup for tomorrow's lunch.
Hope you're ok Asteria.
Going to look at the recommended book now too.

McBear · 07/10/2014 21:02

Lentil soup sounds, erm, fun. Wink

I had a slice of fruit flan thing this evening at work. Don't think that'll help and a packet of crisps Blush

From the book description. "I put these mood swings down to the fact I was tired. Although I got off to sleep without any problem, I’d frequently wake in the middle of the night and sometimes stay awake for a couple of hours before managing to drop off just before I needed to get up in the morning."
This is me!
Oh God I really hate sugar. I'm following the low carb bootcamp but am lapsing dreadfully. There's not even any real stress going on. Just a reflex reaction coming in from work.

McBear · 07/10/2014 21:08

Low carb bootcamp? What are you eating then? Protein should stop you from lapsing, I think?!

OP posts:
amigababy · 07/10/2014 21:15

It's a struggle as I'm vegetarian so I can't do the usual chicken salad or steak and vegetables. Which could explain why I've just been diagnosed with low iron levels too.
On a good day I'm having full fat Greek yoghurt, whey protein powder in shakes , cheese, eggs, olives , coffee with soya milk. Some nuts. I don't really like green ( proper) veg either, just sweeter veg like carrot and tomato. I'm a rubbish vegetarian!

McBear · 07/10/2014 21:20

They're expensive but have you tried the protein bars? Usually high in calories but get the need for chocolate satiated a bit. Quorn is meant to be the bollocks too. Think I saw an advert saying it had more protein than an actual meat

ihatethecold · 07/10/2014 21:21

How about beans Amiga?
You could make a minestrone type soup and omit the pasta.

amigababy · 07/10/2014 21:45

Envy at your beautiful French guy McBear. I just came back from French evening class!
Just catching up on the thread too. I'm very woo too but not that bad! Shock
Goldfish, I did the c25k last year , and then the b210k. I'm not running now but if I can do it anyone can , I'm not a runner. When you get started if you've got any questions just shout.
I think what McBear and ihate are saying is that I've got to start taking care of myself, make my meals as much of a priority as the family meals. I often don't cook properly for myself. Making lentil soup is a good sign.

McBear · 08/10/2014 05:35

Love the sound of French!

How's the lentil soup?

What's b210k?

Couldn't be bothered with jog so I've done 100 sit ups again, shower, now munching breakfast. Feeling less tired than normal. Had no energy before despite having a monster energy every morning!

Gym tonight Confused

Hope everyone is doing well. Had another good day yesterday and managed to exercise - not always easy during school hols. Really hoping that I can keep going with this.

ihatethecold · 08/10/2014 07:08

School hols?
Where are you sweary?

McBear · 08/10/2014 07:11

Exactly what I thought! Ha!

OP posts:
amigababy · 08/10/2014 07:40

McBear you were up early!

b210k is Bridge to 10k. I probably never reached 10k as I'm so slow, but the plan gets you from running 30 minutes, up to running 60 minutes. I want to try again, but can't get my head around starting again.

Today's exercise is a Kung Fu DVD. Sweary what's your exercise plan? Also curious about the holidays

SwearySwearyQuiteContrary · 08/10/2014 08:34

I'm in Australia! It's the last holiday before the end of the school year in December.

SwearySwearyQuiteContrary · 08/10/2014 08:38

Sorry, amiga I missed your question. I do a 90 minute yoga class 2-3 times a week and I'm aiming to add in 3 or 4 cardio sessions, either on the elliptical trainer I have at home or on my bike.

McBear · 08/10/2014 19:22

Sounds very good sweary!

I'd love to run for an hour, well, have the ability! Wink

DP appears to have stormed off in a mood. Apparently, I've thrown away the ultra important list of jobs to do on our house. I know I haven't, I just don't know where it is. He's told me he has a 50 per cent of dominos voucher. I said I didn't want one (big step for me) he then ordered for himself and decided I was to collect it as I had to go a shop nearby anyway.

He doubled checked if I wanted anything. I asked what he was ordering. He said pizza. Just pizza. I asked what toppings what size. He angrily said 'what I always have'. I said sorry for asking. And no I don't want anything (which came out a lot stroppier than I meant)

He hasn't said a word since and about ten mins later walked out.

He can be so stressy. I wanted to put DD to bed at 7.30 and go to the gym...

He double checked

ihatethecold · 08/10/2014 19:34

I hope he is getting his own pizza?
