SLIMMING WORLD - WE CAN DO IT - NEW THREAD

Hi everyone. Hope you don't mind but thought I'd take the opportunity of starting a new thread as the other one is huge!

So how is everyone getting on? Are you getting through the weekend okay without too many temptations?

I have had a very successful first two days back on the Slimming World Plan. It's surprising how much I remember about it and I haven't been to group for 6+ months. I arranged to go to group with Surfermum this time round. She definately inspired me to get back onto it. She has done so well and her weight loss is really noticeable - she looks great!
When the evening came to go to group I will say that, although I knew that I must lose weight, my motivation wasn't 100% there. Now I have got my shopping in and have started writing out my food diary I am really enjoying it. DH made himself a proper greasy fry up yesterday morning - the works! And I found the willpower to say no - to be honest the smell of the grease was enough to put me off anyway.
Found the new Mullerlight yogs yesterday - they have loads of new ones now don't they? I tried the sticky toffee pudding one - yum!

I bought some Ryvita Multigrain ricecakes. I've just checked their value on the SW website and apparently they are 2 Syns for 3. I can't find any reference to them in Healthy Extras, but I'm puzzled as to why they would be 2 Syns when ordinary Ryvita sunflower ones (which are a lot bigger) are classed as a HE. Is it just that, if not taken as a HE, they would be 2 Syns, or they can't be classed as HE at all?

Anyone know?

laundrylady - there used to be a pregnant woman at a group I used to go to. We all used to applaud her for putting ON weight. It was a good thing for her to do though as it helped to gain a steady weight and to eat healthily.

StrawberryFULLMoonOWOWOWWWWWWW · 03/10/2006 17:34

so where do you enter password on site? and what does it get you??

Sparkler1 · 03/10/2006 17:43

Go onto the SW website and you'll see it - you will need to register first and then each time you go on you enter your e-mail address and the weekly password (which we get given at group) and you can get in to use all sorts of things - recipes, syns calculator etc etc.

intergalacticwalrus · 04/10/2006 09:16

Hello all, can I join you (again!)

I had DS2 4 weeks ago, and I followed SW (well, kind of!) all the way through my pg, and I have finished up being almost a stone and a half lighter than when I started in Jan (before I found out I was pg)so I am well chuffed. I sterted back on the plan last week, and I am going back to meetings next Tues. I need some help with sticking to it, esp as I am bfing, which just makes me feel ravenous all the time! So far I haven't found it too bad to stick to, but I need to be kept away from all things chocolatey, as I cant just have a little bit. It's all or nothing!

StrawberryFULLMoonOWOWOWWWWWWW · 04/10/2006 10:34
