SLIMMING WORLD - WE CAN DO IT - NEW THREAD

Hi everyone. Hope you don't mind but thought I'd take the opportunity of starting a new thread as the other one is huge!

So how is everyone getting on? Are you getting through the weekend okay without too many temptations?

I have had a very successful first two days back on the Slimming World Plan. It's surprising how much I remember about it and I haven't been to group for 6+ months. I arranged to go to group with Surfermum this time round. She definately inspired me to get back onto it. She has done so well and her weight loss is really noticeable - she looks great!
When the evening came to go to group I will say that, although I knew that I must lose weight, my motivation wasn't 100% there. Now I have got my shopping in and have started writing out my food diary I am really enjoying it. DH made himself a proper greasy fry up yesterday morning - the works! And I found the willpower to say no - to be honest the smell of the grease was enough to put me off anyway.
Found the new Mullerlight yogs yesterday - they have loads of new ones now don't they? I tried the sticky toffee pudding one - yum!

LOL sherlock! The book must be lying then.
Half a pound on for me last night - not bad considering the week I've just had with my extended birthday celebrations and skipping meals due to lack of time after starting my new job. Feel back on track again now after staying at group last night - staying to group definitely keeps me going, I couldn't do it on my own. Found out that I could have got Slimmer of the Week last week if I had stayed to group - mumsnet meetup at pizza hut instead.

thanks for that JJo, I will definately try that. I hate cooking, so anything that makes life simpler, would be a bonus. If anyone has any favourite convenience foods, ie frozen, ready cooked, tinned or particularly cook-in sauces, I would love to hear about it LOL

rhysmiamum · 29/09/2006 14:28

Yes syns are per sausage!!!

Will do Mumbo, I'll do it as soon as I get home, in work at mo.

I started 2 weeks ago ..did it 3 years ago lost 3stone...had another srog since...lost7lb first week delighted!!...stayed the same 2nd week but had too many meals at other peoples houses...can control restaurants...i always have the same breakfast...42g (a mugfull) of weetabix crunchy bran (HE) or 19 shredded wheat and stay neutral for lunch..red pepper and cottage cheese sandwich/omlette/soup etc so I only have to decide to go red or green in the evening.....I only have my syns at the end of the day if I have been good...then I take great pleasure in savouring a glass of red and an aero or crunchie...no one believes me when I say I lost 3 stone by having a glass of red and a crunchie every night of the week...top tip for me is quorn mince needs lots of spice garlic etc but then you can have loads od spag/potatoes/rice

Hi all. I am feeling very proud of myself today. We went out for a pub lunch today. There was so much lovely stuff on the menu but I went for a jacket potato with beans, cheese and salad and a diet coke. I didn't even have a pudding although I was tempted. Went out this afternoon where there was tea and cake and I didn't have any at all. Just had an omlette for tea and a glass of wine (my first syns of the day) I feel quite content.
