I spent all of yesterday throwing up but sadly still weighed the same this morning..boo!

Going to the gym tonight so it will come off eventually!

How is everyone getting on? Still on the wagon?

Reastie · 17/11/2014 15:15

Toe poor you, are you OK? Not to sound like a moaning marjory too late but if you had a big you're still infectious until 48 hours after the last vomiting incident, so should try not to go to the gym etc. Blush I'm only saying this as I'm emetophobic and this time of year is a nightmare for me.

I'm in the post, ahem, diarrhoea hunger (you know, where you can't eat much for a day or two and your system empties itself and then the hunger kicks in non stop for a few days). Trying to make gentle on the tummy and not too bad choices, but very carb dense as all I fancy. Hopefully will start to drift off.

Excitement for the day - I got a lovely Whistles cashmere cardi in a charity shop for £5. Very excited [saddo]

ToeFluff · 17/11/2014 17:46

I didn't go in the end anyway, though it wasn't a buggy thing it's some sort of stomach acid thing, It keeps happening-should really get to docs but I hate them!!

Glad you are feeling better now, I hate the after poorly binge but the body needs what the body needsGrin

Reastie · 17/11/2014 17:56

Such a great excuse Toe . Acid tummy sounds nasty, can you down a big bottle of gaviscon? [unhelpful]

Kato keep thinking of you, how many weeks now?

I'm still hanging in there, keeping the weight off (I haven't weighed in months now, but size 6-8 age 12-13 fits fine so I can't have put much if anything back on)
Double booked on house guests, my parents stayed Thursday night then went to a conference in town (but wanted to meet up over the weekend),PILs stayed Friday night until this morning, my DBro and his GF came over from Leeds on Sunday to meet us too.
There was a lot of logistical juggling to make sure everyone was entertained and fed adequately, not helped by bus replacements on the tram doubling journey time.
Motivational stalwarts will recall the delights of trying to feed my MIL, add to that my vegetarian, diabetic parents and an already hectic DC social calendar and it's been a trying weekend.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow, a bit of P&Q and normal mealtimes. No special diets or erratic eating habits to accommodate, just proper food at proper times!
Ordinarily I have changed my eating habits, and will never go back to the way I was with food before I lost the weight, but weekends like this are certainly testing! At least I got a lot of exercise running round trying to keep everyone happy.

ToeFluff · 19/11/2014 17:28

Goodness that sounds so hectic I don't envy you at all! Well except your weightloss, I envy that a lot!! Grin

I am MilkshakeMaker, I decided a food nn wasn't appropriate so name changed, think I'm actually heavier now than what I was when I started the first thread!!

Been having a good week so far though so at least that's something..

Reastie · 19/11/2014 17:32

IMST that sounds very very stressful. Don't envy you at all.

Things not great here. I'm still eating for England. When will the hunger settle down Confused . I'm going to be a stone heavier than pre funny tummy at this rate...

Mmm they are dp's fave and whenever I buy them he knows I'm after something!Grin

I've failed today, a girl at work brought in mince pie cookies and melted snowmen, and that set me off and I've been tscoffing for the whole day...

ToeFluff · 21/11/2014 16:42

5 weeks today and it's Boxing Day, xmas will be over and done with and I'll be at least half a stone heavier!! Grin

I'm hoping I can lose a lb a week til then though, that is my target/challenge/wish.

Reastie · 21/11/2014 18:12

Right, toe if you work on it now (this is strange logic) then you can indulge at Christmas and NOT put on weight overall (ie lose a bit now, you'll put it on at Christmas but it won't matter because you've still not put on overall). Either that or just indulge in moderation easier said than done

I'm all better now but have a knee problem so am off most exercise whilst I get it seen to and sorted out :( My arms but nothing else of me might be toned as that's all I'm working out!

ToeFluff · 22/11/2014 21:39

Right, I've downloaded mfp again, I've been to the gym and I'm under calories today! Wahoo! Feeling very positive! Grin

Reastie · 23/11/2014 07:40

Yay, keep it up, great work :)

Stealthpolarbear · 23/11/2014 07:48

Hi everyone
How are you all doing?
Our internet connection has slowed to a snails pace which makes typing on long threads painful3/

Whoops, seriously need to stop using food as comfort, been stress eating as a lot going on atm.

Think I'm thru the worst of it so I'm back again, weighed myself this morning and had a little cry. Back to 12st. Dead on. Waaaa!!

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 07/12/2014 17:54

Hi all,

toe you're jeeping check though so get back on it and make sure you limit the damage.

Things OK here. Have a bit of a knee injury so having to be very careful with workouts (boo). Food is suppose so but, as ever, could do better. Still sugar free though.

ToeFluff · 07/12/2014 19:56

Still no sugar?! Wow!! Well done that's fantastic how long has it been? Are u feeling better for it?

I've done a food plan til Friday and planning 2 trips to the gym during the week...now I just have to stick to it! (That's where this thread and mfp come in)

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 07/12/2014 20:47

Yup, it's been over 3 months now although I keep cheating by eating raisins, which are essentially sugar . Well done on food plan, I need to do that.

Katoare you still there? How many weeks are you now? Hope all going well.

I'm getting barbells and a body pump DVD set for Christmas Grin , here's hope it helps all of my extremely saggy bits.

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 16/12/2014 10:33

Hellloooooo

how is everyone doing? What are the Christmas party plans? Just go for it and damage limit on other days or make mindful choices or give up all together until the new year ?

I read an interesting article in 'new scientist' yesterday about obesity. Jist of bits of it is obesity predisposed people don't react to food in the same way as non obese predisposed people (you don't get to change if your predisposed obviously). Apparently they think obese/predisposed people metabolise food and fat in a different way and also a non predisposed person may eat a large amount but will then naturally be less hungry/eat less the rest of the day/the next day. This won't happen with those who are disposed to obesity. The latter point is so true with me. If I eat a huge lunch whereas other people will say they won't have any dinner and are still full up (my sister for example one year didn't eat for 24 hours after Christmas lunch as she ate so much she wasn't hungry for so long after), I will still need food a few hours later and it has no difference to me. If anything if I eat more as my tummy gets used to eating more so I need more.

ToeFluff · 22/12/2014 23:51

Hello!!

I get what u mean and I'm like that too, can have a huge meal and then still get peckish and hour or two after. I hate it though as it makes u look gutty..well I guess I am but still it's good to pretend!

How are u getting on Reastie I'm struggling but feeling ready to get back into it (after xmas)Grin

ToeFluff · 23/12/2014 22:45
