8020, you can't change the past, no point feeling guilty.
Is there anything you could do to make better choices if the same situation arises again?
Perhaps a sorbet instead of ice cream?

ToeFluff · 09/05/2014 17:47

How's ure day been today eighty? Dont beat yourself up just draw a line and move on that's the important part

I had an awful day yesterday, I ate soooo much flapjack Jaffa cakes and mini donuts! It's out of my system now though and today I've been on my best behaviour, even avoided the birthday cake at work today too!

Reastie · 09/05/2014 18:42

Eighty how's things today? Back on it I hope. It's not the mistakes/bad choices you have that is bad, it's the getting back on it and not giving up. Perseverance is king.

Things here a bit meh. Still not losing Confused . I'm around 30% muscle though according to my scales but can't find anywhere online to tell me if this is good or not!

ToeFluff · 11/05/2014 18:35

Ok so I've let it slip this weekend, I've done a meal plan for the week and have 3 weeks left before holiday, I'm going to really push for 7lb. It's lots but I'll feel so much better on holiday if I do it.

Good luck for tomorrow's weigh in everyone. I shall be bugging u lot constantly now as I've no more room for slip ups! Sorry!

Self control you say?

I'm in a fug. Weighed last Monday at a whopping 147lbs, was good all week, and by Friday was down to 144. A not bad weekend did one class and only went over by a few calories in all... Today It's back up to 146? In one weekend? I'm scunnered.

ToeFluff · 13/05/2014 09:04

Have u weighed today Kato? Sometimes it rights itself the next day as it could have just been water retention? I'm not an expert but I'd demand a recount! Grin

KatoPotato · 13/05/2014 10:02

haha! Well yes indeed! Back to 143... It was a hairy moment stepping on the scales, but lo and behold... back to normal!

ToeFluff · 13/05/2014 12:52

Phew! Grin

Reastie · 13/05/2014 18:05

phew to kato and well done eighty for the 10k

Toe how are things going?

I seem to wobble around 146 - 149 at the minute. No matter what I do I can't seem to shift anything Confused . I'm starting to wonder if I should just stay where I am and work on maintaining/fitness/toning up. I have gone way above and beyond my initial long term target (which I never thought I'd manage anyway) of 5 stone. I just have this lovely dress a friend gave me in a size 10 and it doesn't do up and I so love it and want it to fit...... My target at the min is 140 lbs and then that's it, I'm happy. My tummy is hideous though, I think it's all the excess skin but it's so flabby with a huge muffin top. I can actually feel some muscle under the flab for once in my life where I've been working on toning, but I'm not sure I'll ever have a toned tummy

Hair hasn't been on for yonks, where is she?

kato any signs of a mini kato yet Wink

InMySpareTime · 13/05/2014 18:12

Hair's about, she's looking great ATM, emerging from the winter cardigan-shape to fitted jackets and skinny jeans.

Reastie · 13/05/2014 18:14

that's good to hear IMST

ToeFluff · 13/05/2014 19:18

Things are ok my end, got the motivation for sticking to the food plan, exercise not so much! I just can't find the energy atm, just want to crash out myself when ds goes to bed... Gonna have to fix that!

How are u getting on?

StealthPolarBear · 13/05/2014 20:08

Reastie you sound like you're doing brilliantly - you've come so far.

KatoPotato · 13/05/2014 22:51

Reastie, my stomach is not pretty out of clothes either! When I'm planking it all schloopps forward!

But in clothes it's fine, and I suppose I'm going to have to live with that! Hopefully if I have another mini kato I can ask for a tick at my section ;)

I am aiming for 130 something... Even if it's 139.9!

ToeFluff · 13/05/2014 23:19

I have a question google seems divided on.. Can u do sit ups and other exercises in bed or are they ineffective? It hurts my lower back laying on the floor, even with a gym mat so I put it to u lot Grin

I still haven't decided on a final target, I'm just waiting to see how I feel as I go but I'm kidding myself as it's the toning that's the deal breaker really isn't it.

My belly is yuck, it's never going to tighten and the stretch marks are scary looking! Thank god for long tops!

KatoPotato · 14/05/2014 00:41

I'd be wary of doing it on a bed etc toe. Why not try other excercises for your core like standing oblique twists or side bends?

Do you have hand weights at all?

prawnypoos · 14/05/2014 15:00

Hi all, trying to lose some weight. PILED it on after DD was born, used to be a size 10-12 now I'm starting to struggle to fit into some size 18 jeans. I'm hoping that this time next week they will be a bit easier to get into :)

Don't own a pair of scales as I have become obsessively fixated in the past, but I'm thinking it may be a good idea. The lat time I got weighed about 2 months ago, I was just under 15 stone, I nearly died!

Would love to be down around 9 1/2-10 stones.

Reastie · 14/05/2014 15:21

Hello prawny , you've come to the right place! It will take time, but you will get there. Positive thinking.

Toe I do leg lifts sometimes in bed to help my core, not as a serious workout but because I'm trying to be good Grin . Don't know how great it is though [unhelpful] . Agree with Kato maybe try non crunches. Can you do the csit position? and c sit is about 6 mins in.

KAto that's funny you have a dangling tummy when planking - I do, it's bigger than my 2 big boobs put together but hangs down like they do Blush . I once made the mistake of planking naked after a bath in the bathroom and accidentally saw myself Shock

InMySpareTime · 14/05/2014 15:33

Prawny, it's definitely doable, I did itGrin. Started on the Motivational threads many moons ago at 14st, took 9-10 months steady weight loss (calorie counting with MFP, lots of exercise) to get down to my target weight of 8st 7lb, maintained that for a year or so now.
At my biggest I was a (snug) size 18 with a bra size of 38H. I'm now a size 6/8, 26G.
A bit more than half the person I was, much better for itGrin.

ToeFluff · 14/05/2014 20:24

Omg is it normal to be out of breath just doing squats?! I'm so unfit!

Thank you for the video, I will do a modified attempt as I'm clearly a bag of cringe at exercising (knew there was a reason I put it off for so long)

Welcome prawny, you can do it u just have to stick at it, and remember u get out what u put in, be that will power/exercise/rabbit food it WILL happen!

Grin
prawnypoos · 15/05/2014 08:28

Wow spare time, that's amazing!! I'm 5'6 and would love to be down to 9/10 stone ( though I think 10 will be more maintainable) I've got the myfitnesspal app on my phone and I'm struggling to eat enough for the 1500 calls a day I need. I only got to 1290 yesterday.

I can't believe how much you can actually eat if you just replace the crap with good, wholesome foods!

I had brown toast with raspberry jam then a small portion of shepherds pie with carrots and butter beans then red pepper and tomato soup with a slice of bread and smacked on a banana, raspberries, apples and carrot sticks!

Bring on the bikini body. I'm also refusing to eat margarine, just butter, as I hate the crap they put in marg. I'm drinking whole milk too but I only ever have a tiny but in a cup of tea. Everything in moderation does nobody any harm.

Also went for two walks with DD strapped to my back :D feeling positive
