Hi, following on from the lose a stone and half thread those of us with more weight to shift (me!) would like to carry on

Is there anyone out there to join?

I will go first

I have reached my Easter target and I would like to lose between 7 and 12 pounds ready for the summer (I may lose more in the autumn but I don't see the point if I can't maintain it)

I have let things sill a bit so my intention is to calorie count as I did before with no chocolate or alcohol from Tuesday for a few weeks. Then I will relax the choc and booze rule Grin

Just had a coffee and porridge (very naughty porridge and I added extra raisins Blush)

And I have a mushroom shepherds pie thingy from m and s for tea

Should come in at about 600 calories

I weighed in on Saturday and was 11 stone 5!!!! Weighed yesterday (when I started my daily weigh thing) and was 11 stone 6. Spent the day saying "don't panic" to myself and had a fastish day and drank loads of water. Weighed today and am 11 stone 3

I know that's water loss etc but I'm hoping that by weighing daily I can see where my danger points are

Hope you are all having a good day

woohoo well done Rufus :D I havent been brilliant today either, Friday is eighteen months since mum died and it's been playing on my mind, also have a rotten cold so my theory is it could be worse I've had a hot chocolate and a fun size twix Grin. least it wasn't the whole pack of them

RufusTheReindeer · 14/05/2014 14:49

Vey well done for being so restrained!!!

OP posts:
supermariossister · 14/05/2014 17:57

dp has eaten most of them, I think because he wanted too not for the greater good. my nan gave them to me or they probably wouldn't be in the house. he has bought me a wispa gold today which ill save :)

Don't know whats up with me today this cold has totally wiped me out whereas I would normally shrug things off! just took ds on his bike so that's a half hour walk with lots of lugging up kerbs haha.

how are things with you?

RufusTheReindeer · 14/05/2014 18:52

Not bad but I've just eaten some mini chomp bars

I don't even like mini chomps

I have just thrown the rest in the bin!!,

I have had a pretty good day so although it's now not a fast day if I don't go mental this evening it should still be under 1000

I had an awful cold two weeks ago, think it might have been a chest infection as I'm still coughing up a lung!!!! There are some very nasty colds around they seem to last for ages

OP posts:
supermariossister · 15/05/2014 07:27

I don't like chomps either Grin kids do though. I think sometimes it's just for the chocolate hit not the actual product. will be busy today so hopefully a better day as went over yesterdayBlush

woohooGrin don't feel any different but it's coming off. how is everyone

Saymwa · 17/05/2014 08:41

Hi there All,

Hi Kins. Don't remember reading you before. Are you new on the thread or have you name changed ?

It's been good reading all your messages. I wrote one of my own earlier this week but, I don't know why, it didn't post up.

It was to encourage Rufus especially because I was concerned that she was down. Then , after I read her next posts I saw she was feeling more determined and I felt happier for her . Is that the case Rufus?

Great on the loss Super . I'm really pleased for you. I'm losing too. It's coming off slowly and I'm balancing out my will power and taking care of myself.

One of the best things I can do is to have a warm drink when I have the impression I'm hungry. It takes willpower for me to stear my hand towards the tea bags and away from the munchies. Then, if I'm tired, it takes more will power to pour out the tea and not have a beer instead ! Once I drink it I feel much better- often I don't feel hungry after, I do other things like gardening or dog walking after and sometimes pour another cup because I liked the first.

If I don't have a cuppa then I can easily have a bit of bread, (why not with a bit of cheese on it), a biscuit or two or four, and some or a piece of dried fruit.

So, willpower was necessary for me this week. And here I am down another pound. That brings me to 63kg which is just under the 10 stone mark :) . It's the lowest I've been in 10 years !

I'm hoping for another half a kilo at the end of next week . Fingers crossed ;) .

Sending you all big kisses and wishing you willpower too.

supermariossister · 19/05/2014 14:41

where is everyone? bit lonely over here! 1lb lost, got bags of energy since eating better :)

kinsorange · 19/05/2014 15:00

Lowest you have been in 10 years is a great achievement! [I am rabbit Saymwa,]
I too find drinks can delay the eating quite a lot. And also iced lollies. Havent eaten as many lollies since I was a kid!

Sadly I cant say I have any extra energy, super. I wish!

What I do notice is my tummy feels "in", rather than "out", when I walk!

My weigh day is tomorrow, I will give my where I am verdict then!

RufusTheReindeer · 20/05/2014 14:20

Hello everyone

Been quite busy over the last few days and was away at the weekend

I don't feel I'm doing very well at the moment and I'm not behaving myself that would explain that!!

Away for the week over half term so I need to try and watch myself

Thursday is a works night to the races and food and drink is laid on, Friday we are going to the pub and having cake to celebrate ds2 birthday. I am actually afraid to weigh myself!! Might leave it til June and try and take some pressure off

Or is that a really bad idea?????

Glad to hear you are doing well super keep at it

kin I like having a flatter tummy! but if I jump it wobbles for about half an hour...note to self, stop jumping!

say throw some more willpower thoughts this way, it's obviously working for you!!,

I will log in this week but from about Sunday I won't be posting as I will be away

I will be thinking of you all and I'll make sure I come back for a renewed fat attack!!!

OP posts:
RufusTheReindeer · 20/05/2014 14:32

Thank god for that!!!

I pressed send just as mumsnet went offline...I wasn't typing that again!!

Did we ever work out a target date???

OP posts:
kinsorange · 20/05/2014 19:44

Glad it got sent Rufus!
I think we said a target date was going to be temporarily, the end of June for now, as that is when mine has to be.

I think, as regards your weighing, you have to do what is nest for you.
That is what I did over Easter and before when we had people staying, I left it 3 weeks.= which worked for me.

I weighed today, and I am exactly as I have been for the last 5 weeks. Which is actually good as far as I am concerned, as I was a tiny bit easier on myself this week.
I have5 weeks to go on mine, and 2lbs to lose, so hopefully I should manage that.

Thanks for all the support from everyone, vital as far as I am concerned.
The power of the internet eh? There are only us 4 regulars at this point, but it still works. Hurrah!

RufusTheReindeer · 20/05/2014 20:39

Yay us!!!!!

It's good to be enthusiastic Grin

Yes I remember the end of June now, perfect...if I'm not at target then I should be much further along

OP posts:
supermariossister · 20/05/2014 22:14

don't think it's a bad idea to leave the weighing till June I find if I weigh too often it makes me miserable and sucks the motivation out so if you have lots of events coming up and you think it will set you back mentally if you aren't losing then it might be worth doing. I got some amazon vouchers this week so have bought myself some digital kitchen scales as mine are smart price cheap ones and some digital bathroom scales, I feel better knowing I can control my weigh in and I was having problems weighing at grandparents I have spoke about before the way they pick at and are rude to my dad about his weight and I found that on a Sunday when we were all there and I went to do my weigh they would then start mithering and making digs at my dad relating to my weight loss and what he should be doing. it was making me really uncomfortable so this is much better how is everyone doing today?

RufusTheReindeer · 20/05/2014 22:27

super

That's a good idea, weighing at home will be so much easier

Not too bad today, though I may have a beer before bed...it's a bit of a tradition while we watch DH's shit programme!!!

Hope you have had a good day yourself, I will come on tomorrow and hopefully have a good day before it all hoes pear shaped...get me with the healthy food references Smile

OP posts:
supermariossister · 21/05/2014 03:57

I am up having a bru at 4am, god knows why Grin. having a beer isn't too bad if it gets you through terrible tv!

RufusTheReindeer · 21/05/2014 08:25

He does like a bit of mtv crap on a Tuesday night...and he blames me for introducing him to it. I think he just likes the arguments they have on the programme

Only a matter of time before he is on AIBU!!!!!

OP posts:
RufusTheReindeer · 23/05/2014 21:41

Very naughty day, big salad for tea (not very healthy dressing!)

Pub for tea and birthday cake

Going to have a Chinese for tea tomorrow and then on holiday for a week

DH and I going to try and behave a bit while on holiday, especially when it come to booze. And then weigh in next Sunday Sad

Hope you all have a good week and see you on the other side Grin

OP posts:
supermariossister · 24/05/2014 08:02

RufusTheReindeer · 24/05/2014 09:56

Hope you have a good half term, please make sure you are still here when I get back!!!

I don't want to spend the next month talking to myself... Grin

OP posts:
supermariossister · 24/05/2014 10:26

Ill still be here :) hopefully less of me than before but it always seems to go to shit at half term so we shall see! Have a great time

Saymwa · 27/05/2014 06:04

Hi All,
Hope you both have a lovely half term , Rufus and Super. Thinking about you.
Here I've lost another kilo. Down to 62 now . It is strange how the last few kilos are coming off - quite slowly but each one seems to get more and more noticeable .
I hope to lose another half a kilo this week . It's bank holiday week-end coming up so I'll need to watch it.
Good look to you all.
Smile
