New week, new thread, new ooomph to get some more weight shifted

I thank you. Mind you, it appears to be a slightly invisible crown, at least on this machine at work (probably best - everyone I work with would wonder why I was wandering around with a crown on). Good luck everyone for another week - hope the weather gets a bit cooler, or I'm going to have to have more ice creams (and I don't mean frozen Frubes, nice as they are!).

WigWamBam · 27/07/2006 11:45

Ohhh ... and it was such a stunning crown, too! Never mind, it's probably a bit too hot for swanning around with a damned great lump of gold and ermine on your head!

i JUST HAD A FROZEN FRUBE AND PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! Opps - sorry about caps! I have joined the weight loss resources website and it is fantastic as a guide - you can get a free 3 day trial which I would reccomend. I am feeling totally motivated now. Have had wholemeal toast and banana for breakfast and a frozen frube and some seeds as snack. Having rice dish for lunch and going swimming in the afternoon - we got a new pool recently (haven't had one here for years}and I have taken DS1 but not been to actually swim yet and I can't wait! A better week this week I am sure! Well done to Jackie and to everyone else who lost or retained! Best wishes to all for a good week.

JackieNo · 27/07/2006 12:00

Good for you Schneebly. Yes - frozen Frubes are pretty good, aren't they. I've heard good things about the weight loss resources site, but haven't got round to joining yet. Good on you for swimming too - just the place to be in this heat.

suejonez · 27/07/2006 12:36

Good start to the week for you schneebly, hopefully for me too.

coppertop · 27/07/2006 12:42

Good luck, everyone!

If I don't lose at least one pound this week then there's no justice. It's only lunchtime and I've already done 10,000 steps.

JackieNo · 27/07/2006 12:43

Blimey coppertop - and in this heat. V impressed. Definitely polish that halo.

mumsyxx · 27/07/2006 13:45

Hi Everyone this is my d day today i get weighed this evening at 7 oclock im not due to finish work till 6.30 ut going to try and finish early and walk home which is about an hours walk with the baby in the buggy so hopefully that will help as well

JackieNo · 27/07/2006 13:47

Good luck mumsyxx. All you walking people - respect. I can barely make it to the car without collapsing in a large sweaty heap in this weather.

suejonez · 27/07/2006 14:06

it took me 2.5 hours to get home yesterday. Got stuck in a tube in a tunnel for 45 mins behind a trian with a fire onboard.

Talk about big sweaty lump!

When we were eventually evacuated at the next station LU staff had to rush round giving people bottles of water.

JackieNo · 27/07/2006 17:46

Oh no suejonez - that sounds completely hideous, you poor thing. My idea of hell.

suejonez · 27/07/2006 18:38

Thank you - I didn;t get anything like enough sympathy from anyone else!

coppertop · 27/07/2006 18:43

That sounds hideous, sue. Dh hates the bus in the hot weather in case it gets stuck in traffic. I can only imagine how awful it must have been to be stranded for hours in a train.

I thought that the summer holidays would mean less exercise for me but it seems to be the opposite. Would you believe I was actually playing basketball with ds1 this afternoon?

mumsyxx · 28/07/2006 08:27

well ladies i lost 2.5 lbs last night i am in shock lol wohooo so i am now officially 13 stone 12 lbs so going to be sooooo good this week

dublindee · 28/07/2006 09:15

HI all.
haven't posted in a while as have been feeling guilty. Was unwell during the huge heatwave lsdt week and ended up with high temp. Then had my 20 week scan and had a chickenpox scare with DS. Anyway my weight loss since I last posted is....

2lbs!

The doctor at the 20week scan advised that I should try and maintain my weight from now on rather than try to lose so I'm kinda torn. The non-parent part of my brain is saying I could halve my weight and not harm new little son (it's def a boy btw ), but I don't wanna risk it.

Should I stay on or go?

Would I still be allowed back to this thread when he pops out in December pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease????

schneebly · 28/07/2006 09:23

Hi Dee

I am glad all is well with your baby boy! How exciting and well done on losing 2 lbs! If i were you I would just concentrate on eating healthily with a bit of what you fancy thrown in - don't concern yourself with trying to lose weight at the moment just enjoy your pregnancy and keep us updated on how you are! I am sure no-onw ouwld object to you returning in December! All the best!
