Anybody fancy losing a stone and a half by Easter?

MercuryRising · 27/12/2013 09:30

I have just weighed myself and the results were hideous. I need to start taking some steps to shift some pounds - the first one being moving away from the Christmas chocolates. Does anybody fancy joining me?
It is 16 weeks until Good Friday so losing a stone and a half is very doable. I am a ww monthly pass member but haven't attended meetings regularly or followed the plan properly since the Summer Blush
Please come and motivate me.

Sounds good to me!

Well done archshoes

Great to me.
I am no expert.

You probably have more complete home made stuff than me, which is harder to calorie count? But you have been losing weight, so there is no problem.

My portions are small. Because I am petite size anyway, short and small boned.

Does your friend think you eat too large quantities?

I'm 5ft 2 so portions are small ish. And I also have 2 days fasting. Sometime 3.
I'm losing on average 2lb a week (with a weekend blast of exercise)
Don't really know what she meant, was said in passing. But I think i'm getting a bit obsessive and it made me panic a bit.......
Should I fast more?

Sounds like everyone is doing really well with wt loss

I'm staying away from scales for a week, just getting my head in the zoneGrin hiding from scales after the weekend
More going on clothes than lbs as it can all get a bit annoying if the numbers are slow to budge, so will weigh in next week!
Have been doing a fair few classes though tries to justify cupcakes on Saturday, and wine Blush

Jokers I'm not an expert so can't comment in an official capacity, but it def doesn't sound like you're eating too much. Fasting another day sounds a bit yuk if you're nearly there anyway?
Good luck whatever you decide

Rufus chuckling at your multiple skins!
And loving your attitude to it all, I'm trying to adopt a similar one, so keep posting!

Arch whoop whoop for you!
Keep it going!

How does my fast day sound - 7am small porridge (made with milk)
Lots of water through out the day
8pm Small soup
The whole day under 300 calories.
I do that twice a week.....is that ok? Fast another day? really want this weight off now

My target has changed - now 7lb to loose rather then 2lbs. If I've got this far I can do a bit more!
Would have struggled if it wasn't for the support on here, so thank you to you all Thanks

Jokers I want to encourage you, but don't really know what to say as it seems very little calories.
Hope your well

Hi jokers

Fast day sounds fine, if not slightly low. I think a lot of the 5:2ers suggest going to 4:3 to lose those last pounds. Might be worth looking on their thread

Hey fran

Pampered chef is an American company that sells kitchen stuff like Tupperware used to. You get wine and food!!!!

Hope you are all still doing well. I lost 3 pounds, so that's the pound I gained last week, the pound I should have lost that week and the pound I should have lost this week

Yay! I am at my Easter target! Between 5 and 12 pounds left, god it's getting hard!

Good idea I'll swap to 4:3.
congrats on nearing your target xThanks

Thanks jokers

Hope it goes well with you this week, not much to go for you

I'm not looking forward to the maintenance, I tend to go off the rails...I need to remind myself that it's a way of eating not a diet

Yesterday wasn't too bad

I had a coffee, a latte, a glass of wine, chiplets (potatoes in actifry then finished off in scrambled eggs) 6 chocolates and a slice of cake!

I know that the cake, chocs and wine were rubbish but I didn't eat a lot!

Going to be good for the next few days as I am out on Thursday at the pub (lunchtime and evening!). And I know that the holidays won't be too good!

Hope you all have a good week!

Right everyone has disappeared!

Not a brilliant day yesterday, didn't eat much but also didn't eat good food

Today is going well, a latte at cafe nero, one chocolate, a cafe au lait, a pack of pops (low cal crisps), I'm having veg soup and half a roll for tea

I know that isn't good but I've not had time to eat today and I'm trying a fast..I'm rubbish at fasts!

I am here really, but am a constant n/c which on a long thread people may find irritating.

My weigh day was yesterday and I had put on 1/2 a lb. Not disastrous but not great either. Got redetermined and doing ok again now.

I am not sure about maintenance either. But I will concern myself with that when I get there!

Bit Hmm about fasts. Not sure they are at all sustainable. Dont think they would suit me, but may work for others??

I think that quite often people do a natural fast, big night Saturday? Then you cut down on Sunday or skipping lunch because you are busy and only having something light for tea

I use the term fast as the 5:2 people do, so I would eat between 500 and 600 calories once or maybe twice a week

Used to do it all the time on slimming world, weigh in Thursday, bit naughty on Friday, very naughty on Saturday, rein it back on Sunday and Monday, weigh on home scales on Tuesday...have a panic attack about Thursday and stop eating on Tuesday and Wednesday Grin

Thanks for the offer rebecca.

Very much doubt it.

tbh, it is bringing back memories of being in hospital and only allowed shakes for days on end. I hated it.

Did also, once, a long time ago, try shakes from a chemist. Again, I hated it!

Though if I got desperate at some stage in my life, I probably would give it a go.

Gone back to being strict with myself. Will know the result on tuesday. Only way I seem to be able to do it.

Maintained this week, after a 3lb loss last week I'm not too distressed Grin

If I can maintain over the Easter holidays I will be pleased...although a loss would be great!

I have between 7 and 12 pounds left to lose
