Anybody fancy losing a stone and a half by Easter?

I have just weighed myself and the results were hideous. I need to start taking some steps to shift some pounds - the first one being moving away from the Christmas chocolates. Does anybody fancy joining me?
It is 16 weeks until Good Friday so losing a stone and a half is very doable. I am a ww monthly pass member but haven't attended meetings regularly or followed the plan properly since the Summer Blush
Please come and motivate me.

Sounds good

And well done on that fantastic weight loss!

JokersGiggle · 18/03/2014 17:27

How about you?Smile

RufusTheReindeer · 18/03/2014 18:11

Just ate some peanut butter!! Oops Blush

5 foot 8, weighed 12 stone 7 for most of last year, which is much too heavy for me

Gained 5 lbs over Christmas which is normal for me, started calorie counting really strictly, stopping alcohol and chocolate on the 4th of January this year, did that for a month, kept calorie counting and apart from a half term blip have lost weight every week

Now 11 stone 7, took 2 pairs of trousers and 2 skirts out of storage again because they fit me!

Would love to be 10 stone 7 bug would be happy to maintain at 11

Just need to be a bit stricter, for the last few weeks I have been slipping off the wagon on the odd occasion (peanut butter)

You lot are doing so well! Am impressed. I am a frequent nc btw[tiara].
I am 10 stone. But 5 foot 1 inch.
I like to be between 9 1/4 and 9 3/4. So start reining myself in after that.

Never thought of a bellydance dvd. May get the one you recommend Jokers.
My exercise is pretty laughable. But I am actually healthy [am 51].

I think there is another person on the thread I started so I will see if she can come over to here.

JokersGiggle · 18/03/2014 18:55

Bellydance is such a laugh - you can imagine yourself to be a goddess of perfection Smile its lovely and relaxing as well

FrantasticO · 18/03/2014 20:17

Hi all!

I'm in the same boat as you rufus 5'8" and 11 and a half ish
Was 9 and a half last year. Blush

2013 was def not the best year, it majorly sucked but 2014 is going to be a winner!

So planning to get to 10 1/2 for starters!

Belly dancing you say jokers, off to google def have the equipment in plenty just now!

RufusTheReindeer · 18/03/2014 21:14

Hi fran

Not been 9.5 since I had ds1!

10.5 seems a good place to start, how are you going to get there (apart from getting jiggy with it)

JokersGiggle · 18/03/2014 22:02

Another great thing is vogue-ing
Really fun but hard to find classes. But the internet is good for itSmile

FrantasticO · 18/03/2014 22:28

Mmm was thinking of the not sitting on the couch devouring chocolate fingers method....
Or maybe joining weight watchers
Mfp is good but think I need to go to someone I know I'm sad

Exercising as well 5-6 classes per week just now, going to try get a few runs in as well puffing about the street style, not athletic gazelle incase your wondering Grin

Vogueing you say jokers... I'm wondering if you're pulling my leg with your name and visions of me with my jelly belly vogueing while belly dancing! The mind boggles! Grin

Off to google vogueing ...will try anything once!!!

JokersGiggle · 19/03/2014 07:44

Its hysterical. My husband came in with a work mate while I was vogueing........made his day.
I just find exercise so boring, I just cant stick to running or the gym, my mind wanders and I fall over/fall off something and then I want cake!
I'm always up for new fun things so if anyone can think of something just let me know Smile

RufusTheReindeer · 19/03/2014 08:51

I need something that works in five minutes or less

Or lipo

Fast day today...and I'm going to do it and not cheat. So two coffees, soup and a M and S ready meal

Go me!

ferrar · 19/03/2014 08:54

Well at least it is working!

My good news is that I appear to have lost 1-2 lbs in about 10 days. Very pleased as I seem to have been diet stuck for about 4 weeks.

Thanks for the support everyone. I need it.

JokersGiggle · 19/03/2014 12:02

My friend laces herself into a corset each day......she looks great but my God does it hurt!
Though they look pretty Smile

Haha just have an image of myself wearing a corset out to do the weekly shop.....think id traumatise people!

ferrar · 19/03/2014 12:15

A corset Shock
That is going a bit far!
But I do have pull in underwear for my outfit. So much the same thing I suppose?
Didnt know you could still buy corsets, but what do I know?

JokersGiggle · 19/03/2014 13:37

They do look good, silky and pretty colours......maybe I'll get one for fun!

RufusTheReindeer · 19/03/2014 13:39

I need pull in knickers!

But decent ones cost a bomb, not £6 for a pack at marks!

JokersGiggle · 19/03/2014 14:16

Having a bad day - really craving nutella.....and brownies....and ice cream...anything sugary will do!
Someone tie my hands behind my back, and best tape my mouth shut as a precaution!
anyone else suffering today?

ferrar · 19/03/2014 15:56

Personally having a good day. But my main weakness is around 9pm.

Now, although I dont know you well, I am going to have to be stern here Angry , best emotion I can find. Dont reach for the sugar.
Am trying to think what else you can have, but I dont know what you have in your house.
Protein? That tends to be filling and will keep you going for a while?
An apple - sometimes does the trick for me. A small juicy one?

JokersGiggle · 19/03/2014 16:18

I had some olives and feta cheese Smile so far so good. In usually weak at about 2 & 5 but seem do deal better with the 5pm one by just drinking a pint of water. My biggest problem is I confuse thirst and hungerHmm I just don't feel thirsty, if I dint give myself reminders to drink I'll only have a small coffee in the morning and maybe a small glass of white wine before bed, is that normal? Make myself drink each hour and don't feel so hungry. But still don't recognise thirst.....
When I was younger my hobbie required I be/stay thin (I was 7st exactly when over the age of 16 but always kept myself light for my age.) so before a big event we wouldn't eat or drink for 12-24 hours before to make sure there was moo water weight or anything to give us the best chance....maybe I did some damage to how I see food and drink or how my body recognises it. Was like that for 9/10 years (started behaving like that when I was about 10 years old.) before being injured out Sad I've never had a good relationship with them, always too little of it or too much.
Its had other effects for example all my family are really tall.....i'm 5ft 2, I stopped growing st about 14 years old. At the time it was a good thing to stay small and light.
When I was injured I lost control Abbe ate everything I couldn't eat before - cake, choc, fizzy drink, crisps, lots of processed meats, salt, fat, sugar, massive portions.
I still think I have a bad relationship with food as I've been getting a bit obsessive with the diet and finding controlling hunger (usually) very easy, honestly sometimes enjoying the feeling and seeing how long I can last. Dh is worried I'll go the other way again and be stick thin/under weight again.
Wow that feels good to have off my chest. Honestly never thought id be that honest, dh doesn't even know the full extent of my behaviour.
Sorry to dump that on you guys Confused

RufusTheReindeer · 19/03/2014 17:03

Don't worry, if you can't tell us on here who can you tell

I do love food but I can get a bit competitive with myself on the odd occasion!

Have just finished the peanut butter Blush now that's bad but??it's gone so I won't buy any more, peanut butter isn't the worst thing in the world to eat and I didn't have it in bread so that's got to be good

So, I have had two coffees at 80 cals, soup at 95 cals and my tea is 325. So that's 500! (And we will just move swiftly on from the peanut butter debacle)

RufusTheReindeer · 19/03/2014 17:04

Let us know how you did at 9 won't you ferrar

And joker Angry move away from the sugar

FrantasticO · 19/03/2014 19:40

Corsets and pull me in knickers, peanut butter and vogueing, this thread moves a bit!

Second stay away from the sugar!
And the peanut butter [slobber]

All ok here, bit hungry, bit fancy a vino...
Am going to have some soup and a coffee

Think we should be aiming for 2-3l per day
Could you fill 4 500ml bottles to drink over the day?

Been at body attack so exercise done YEEHA
Has anyone else tied power hooping, it's very old fun as long as you can laugh!

Weekends my worst weak spot I have many

Keep on keeping on girls! Grin

FrantasticO · 19/03/2014 19:41

Old????
Good fun!

RufusTheReindeer · 19/03/2014 20:19

Well the peanut butter is all gone so that's a plus

Finished eating and drinking for the day.

Off shopping (mooching) tomorrow and then off to the pub in the evening

Not doing any exercises ( it's my secret weapon) (and I'm lazy!)

Is power hooping like hula hooping?

JokersGiggle · 19/03/2014 20:32

Last exercise of the day is done Smile made myself do it even though I feel really ill Sad dh decided to go off to the pub with fine mates rather than look after me (would you believe he's a paramedic?! Totally unsympathetic and uncaring, he's emotionally hardened from the job, I understand its a coping method but sometimes it drives me nuts) think I've got the stomach virus that's going around Sad
On the up side if I feel rubbish fast days should be a piece of cake!....urg don't mention cake.....feel so ill Sad
