Anybody fancy losing a stone and a half by Easter?

I have just weighed myself and the results were hideous. I need to start taking some steps to shift some pounds - the first one being moving away from the Christmas chocolates. Does anybody fancy joining me?
It is 16 weeks until Good Friday so losing a stone and a half is very doable. I am a ww monthly pass member but haven't attended meetings regularly or followed the plan properly since the Summer Blush
Please come and motivate me.

I'll join! Would preferably like to lose 2 stone but one and half to lose is my natural body weight apparently Confused

Can I join? I have just signed up to the 52lbs in 52 weeks thread, but would like to do this too as a shorter term goal to keep me focused. I think 5lbs every four weeks is doable, esp at the beginning.

I'd also like to have completed 0-5k by easter. it's a nine week program by I strongly suspect it might take me a bit longer. Blush

I won't fast unless I hit a plateau, but due to ill advised documentary viewing I appear to have gone vegan today (warning, do not watch earthlings). I'm sure that will clean my usual eating up ALOT!

First weigh in on Monday.....

Im in.
Have put on a stone since DCs and before that, i had a stone to lose.
Im worried about developing type 2 diabetes as i have the classic body shape for that.
I am going to take a 'before' picture and pin a few motivational sentences to my fridge, which i have NEVER done before but now is the time.
Im starting a running programme, using a slow cooker for healthy family meals, stopping eating off kids plates to 'tidy up' and no longer buying those sodding 'cereal bars'! I also have a NLP audio to listen to to help me alter thought/behaviour patterns.
Good luck to me & everyone on here...

I'm in!

Joined WW online yesterday and had to weigh myself which was a shock. Can't start properly until Monday as away visiting rellies but will limit the damage plus have menu planned (and pointed) meals from Monday onwards, and also have planned a good online shop to come then too. I will also focus on upping my exercise but a definate plan for that will be the week after!

Yes please. To loose 1.5 stone by then would be perfect. I'm going to do meal plans every week. Buy a slow cooker in the sales, so there are no last minute panic eats.

I also have a gym membership festering away in a drawer & want to be doing 10k's by the Summer.

It was my b'day yesterday & I've got myself into a deep rut. I'm hoping this will help pull me out.

I want to start from 1st jean although I'm not back to work til the 7th. I eat so much better when I'm at work. At home I just snack!

I've got the WW app and I've downloaded the 7min workout app. Will try to do that most days!

Anyone recommend any of the new fitness DVDs?

I plan to get a dog sometime this year, and hope to get the motivation to go for long walks with it.

I'm in!
Would love to shift 2 stone in total but 1.5 stone is a more realistic goal I think. I'm going to use a combination of MFP and FitBit.This will be the same 2 stone that I lost 3 years ago and has slowly crept back on-I am so cross with myself as I know how tough I found it last time.

Starting to cut back from today but will start in earnest on the 7th when everyone is back at school/work.

Hi everyone. Went on a night out last night and just seen all the photos on watsapp. I look terrible and feeling really low. I have terrible self esteem and seeing myself in the photos has set off my anxiety and low mood. I'm
Cutting back from today. Need that 1.5 stones gone.

Omg ladies, I saw a picture of me taken in August 2012 before I started WW in sept 2012. I look awful! A reminder of how far I've come and how I need to get my ass back in gear!!

Do not feel bad about yourself, feel cross with yourself
as anger is an ACTIVE emotion that makes you get on and do things
think how fantastic you will look in next years pictures if you teach your mind and your body to work together for your own good.

Eat like a slim person does and you will become one.

Afternoon!

I have officially started today. I weighed myself again this morning for the proper weigh in and I am already 1.5lbs down from Christmas, just shows how easy it is to overeat. Need to take measurements late on today as I like seeing those go down too. I would like to lose 2 stone, am just shy of 11.5 at the moment. I'd like to pretty much be there by Easter.

I'm WW ing though interested in possibly doing 5:2 later on, will see how I go. I have WW before and I like it because there's nothing that's banned and I need help with portion sizes. Have planned and pointed well for the week, have the most healthiest ever online shop arriving tomorrow!

Talkin thank you for virtual hugs ( they do work). It sounds so vain and petty talking about photos making me feel low. I usually run 2-3 times a week but in recent weeks lots of life changes have meant that my fail safe antidepressant (running) is not there. You'd think losing 20lb should be a doddle. It's a vicious cycle of low mood affecting motivation and that lowering mood further.

Feeling really inspired by your words and feeling ready to put myself first and focus on my health.

Hmmm I like the target so count me in although I might not get there. Using MFP to keep me on track &y TDEE is 2119 but I stick to around 1600 as this is more than enough cals for me. So far I've lost 24lbs this way. Bad at converting so not sure how much that is in stones (goes off to google) :)

Error I've lost 17lbs so far which Google tells me is 1.214 stones Grin

Losing 20lb is bloody hard. There is no easy way to do it.
When I did WW I was hungry for half a year - which is why the weight started to creep back on.
Its also why I love 5:2 because I'm hungry two days a week but live a little the rest of the week.
And this time of year is a total bummer for people who like running and walking and cycling - especially with all the wind and rain this year.
I am counting down till the start of term and I can get back to my daily swims Smile

Bakingnovice · 30/12/2013 16:27

I tried 5:2 but lost nothing and couldn't sleep on fast days. However I'm going to restart this week and see how I go. Maybe the running will give me a boost?

Can I join please? I have about 3 stone to lose but would be happy with 21lb by Easter as I know it's going to take me a while! I am also considering trying for another child at some point this year which is not helping my motivation as I still haven't lost the weight from the last one (who is just two!).
I'm going to start detoxing for Jan from 6th and am going to be doing the Arbonne 30 day to fit programme with protein shakes for breakfast and lunch as well as an exercise programme but I seriously need accountability from here as my willpower is rubbish!
Good luck everyone!

Yes it was very difficult DumDum but I had motivation of a holiday! And my DP was very supportive by doing it with me every night. At this moment I have little willpower and my DP is too busy with work to excercise with me so I feel a bit of a tit shaking my wobbly bits infront of him. I am in the same boat as bennybenbear as I also want to conceive in 2014. What's the 30 day fit programme bennybenbear? I'm currently doing jillian Michaels.

When do we start!? Grin

Urethra - it turns out I had a 24 hour sicky bug the next day so the pain was not just from the shred. I felt very poorly but on the positive side I lost 4lbs.
