20lbs lighter by Christmas Day, anyone?

Got weighed at weekend in one of those places where you can't shift your toes around on the scale to lose half a stone. Bit of a shock. Does anyone want to join me to be 20lb lighter by Christmas?

That's only 2lb a week. We can do it.

Height: 5'4"
Start weight on 21st October: 159lb
Goal Weight on Christmas Day: 139lb

Food Plan: no sugar or processed foods, lots of water, lots of veg and lean protein. Alcohol free on weekdays

Exercise Plan: Daily Shred plus what I already do (fitness class and walks)

Anyone want to join in and add plans, tips, motivators, anything at all to get us there by Christmas Day?

Weighed myself this morning and no change this week at 154lbs. I'm not surprised as I have my folks here so there's been more eating out, more treats in the house and I've haven't been as active.

Am committing to going to the gym 3 times this week.

Well done to those that have lost and let's keep going!

Hi all, some great losses here well done! I'm pleased with my progress this week, lost 4lbs (151 start weight now 147). Hooray for low-carbing!

Hi everyone.

1lb loss here. Better than nothing, despite wine cakes and more wine lunches out over half term.

Want 2lb this week though. Feeling very heffalumpish.

Only had one message for the round up. Happy to just show it on here, but if you want an accumulator of number of tubs of lard lost, just PM me and I'll post them all together.

I weighed myself today and after last week's half pound weight loss, I've lost three and a half this week! I'm so pleased and feel really motivated now. Four pounds over two weeks means that 20lbs by Christmas is really possible! I've gone from a starting point of 10 stone 9 to 10 stone 5. I also have to admit that I'll be looking out for the point at which DH actually notices. On a more positive note, I'm visualising myself wearing something nice and new on Xmas day.

I'm eating fruit instead of biscuits, avoiding takeaways and trying to be low carb. Soup for lunch instead of sandwiches.

I'm eating meat, fish, all veg except for potatoes, peas, carrots + corn, cheese + cream, some full fat yoghurt + splash of milk in tea, nuts and seeds. No grains or fruit at all, no sugar and no booze. But I'm allowing myself one or two meals a week where I relax a bit (e.g. On sat night I drank loads of prosecco + red wine and had a low carb dessert which had agave syrup in it). Am trying to be fairly strict but not worrying about counting carbs or ketosis etc. Just eating loads of veg + some protein basically, with lovely fat to round it off :). It's a diet which seems to agree with me, I always feel sluggish and bloated when I eat lots of wheat and sugar. I don't expect to have the same weight loss every week though, it will taper off I think.

I have had 1lb off this week so down from 10st 7.5 to 10st 6.5. Still hoping to be under 10 st for Christmas.

Well done everyone on the losses.
I've been good today so far.
Breakfast: scrambled egg
Lunch: salad with bacon, baby spinach, olives, feta and cucumber.
I have had 2 coffees, and 3 green teas, and am trying to drink more water.
I have a pair of jeans and a couple of tops that I really want to get into by xmas, so need to keep my willpower going!

Well today I have had my 1st session with the trainer and opted in to a new local weighloss support group that is starting up. Why is it I still don't feel optimistic?
There is a bloke near me that offers hypnotherapy, I'm seriously considering it as an option right now!

I know I'm late to the party but can I join?

I'm 5ft7, currently about 143lbs. Would like to lose a stone by Christmas, but 20lbs would be amazing.

I'm trying to eat sensibly (no crap, lots of veg) but I did have a biscuit today so need to join a group to keep me on track. Exercise about 4 times a week for an hour at a time (usually two swims, hot pilates or yoga and a run).

I'm still here doing weight watchers but not really getting anywhere. I feel a bit thinner but my scales aren't budging ..I'm doing it to the letter / number ... Hhmmm

The scales are finally my friend! 143 today! So I was 144 at the start of the thread, then jumped to 146, then 145

Just goes to show you have to keep motivated and this thread absolutely did that

Well done Kato. I'm doing well so far this week too, now down to 145 (151 at start 2 weeks ago) but I have 2 parties this weekend so we'll see what havoc that wreaks!

I have stayed the same this week. It is that TOTM though, and I feel bloated, fat and grotty- I am just glad I haven't put any on!
Going to dig out my shred DVD today, and start making a real effort.

Well, I appear to have put on 3/4 of a pound this week.

Interesting, as although my calorific intake is unchanged, the quality of the food I've been eating ha dropped- have been travelling a lot so lots of takeaway lattes and snatched sandwiches etc.

Oh well. Onwards and upwards!

Once I get into the mindset I hope to get on with it...but I lose ALL willpower after the evening glass of wine! then I raid the fridge.

eggy - sounds ridiculous but i often get bigger when travelling a lot. Was your level of exercise less than normal?

Lost 1lb this week. Total of 5lb now. Wish it was 2lb this week but I did have a few lapses. But been exercising with a vengeance, so at least it'll be toned chub at Christmas. I want at least to be down to medically healthy weight (7lbs to go for that one.)

Hi all! I am very late to the thread but I am aiming to lose a stone from now til Christmas Day and I need some friends to do it with! I started yesterday. Am doing Anna Richardson Body Blitz and going to the gym three times per week.

Height: 5'3"
Current weight: 163 pounds (11 stone 9)
Weight by Christmas: 149 pounds (10 stone 9)

I am absolutely determined. Weighing in Mondays like you all seem to be. Thank you!

Today I have eaten:

Bowl of muesli
An apple
6 ryvita with humous
A gummy bear Blush
5 almonds and a few raisins
Massive loads of roasted veg with 3 97% meat sausages and some tomato pasta sauce.

Does this look reasonable if I am going to lose weight?

142! - still going in the right direction! Please don't give up, I was scunnered by the scales!

I was 144 at the start of thread and 146 by week 2!
