20lbs lighter by Christmas Day, anyone?

Hi
Got weighed at weekend in one of those places where you can't shift your toes around on the scale to lose half a stone. Bit of a shock. Does anyone want to join me to be 20lb lighter by Christmas?

That's only 2lb a week. We can do it.

Height: 5'4"
Start weight on 21st October: 159lb
Goal Weight on Christmas Day: 139lb

Food Plan: no sugar or processed foods, lots of water, lots of veg and lean protein. Alcohol free on weekdays

Exercise Plan: Daily Shred plus what I already do (fitness class and walks)

Anyone want to join in and add plans, tips, motivators, anything at all to get us there by Christmas Day?

Oh, what a difference a day makes! I've just eaten half a large domino's pizza Sad

It was so bad, but tasted so good!

How many hours do I need to walk for tomorrow to even up those calories? I dread to think.

Back on the wagon from right now! No letting myself use it as an excuse to just start again Monday!

Ummmm half a large pizza you're looking at at least 1000 calories, maybe more

atomicyoghurt · 02/11/2013 08:07

What day is weigh in... I've been scanning the thread but I'm on a phone so slooooow loading.
I'm down 4lb (!) since I started but that's down to being bedridden with illness. The fridge is a long way away but dh has been sneaking me fun sized mars bars to 'keep my strength up'.

eggyweggies · 02/11/2013 10:13

A bit of non-scale related good news- I'm now having to roll up the waistband of my size 16 jeans- they are just far too big now. Freshly washed, too!

Keep going, it works!

Hi to all the new people. yes weigh in is tomorrow. PM me if you want to be in the round up or just post on here.
Hard to stick to at half term - lots of visits to relatives with heaving food tables!
But I still haven't had even a lick of Halloween choc, so feeling very smug.
Did a 5k run today - never thought that would be possible a few weeks ago. (Walked some of it, but ran most.)

Good luck everyone. Hope we've all lost something. If not, half term is over (in England anyway) so we can get back on track.

Fantastic on all counts nota starting training so for a 10kb

KatoPotato · 03/11/2013 08:47

Whoops!

Training soon for a 10k in March. Think it's doable? I currently go the gym about 4x per week so my general fitness is okay but I've never been a runner before!

It's for a charity thing for work... Am I crazy?

notagiraffe · 03/11/2013 11:10

Kato, I'm 100% sure you could train to do a 10k by March. Running seems to suddenly 'click' and then you make real progress. I'm the world's worst runner but did a great 5k yesterday and really enjoyed it. Only been training for a few weeks.

Do you have a programme to follow?

I find doing power-walking sessions in between really helps with cardio fitness.

OK ladies weighed in at 11st 1lb which means I've lost 3lb in 9 days so not bad.

Swam 20 lengths of a 33m pool today so pleased with that.

notagiraffe · 03/11/2013 14:19

Clary that's great! Can I add that to the round up?

Yeah sure :)

Just having a baking afternoon - bribery choc chip cookies and brownies for colleagues from whom I want a favour - not eating chocolate myself tho so no temptation to try!

1lb off for me again this week. So down to 194lbs. (14st 12lbs)
Not confident that I can lose 20lbs by Xmas, but any loss is good. I would love to get to 13 st by xmas day, and think with a bit more willpower, that is possible.

cuggles · 04/11/2013 07:35

I am a bit late but can i join please!! Happy to be in the round up thingie as need all motivation i can get! Currently weigh 140 lbs and only 5ft so at least a stone needs to come off by xmas. Exercising by doing bodypump twice a week..need to up it to three and thriw in some cardio...probably just walking as will have little ones all the time! Diet wise...need to cut out sweets cakes chocolate and up the veg..and drink more water too! Good luck at todays weigh in!

Chlorinella · 04/11/2013 08:51

I've lost a pound !
What a relief !
Had a busy half term , which included a visit to see DS ( he's in his first year at Uni ) so dinner out and a hotel breakfast ( can't resist those pastries )
Dinner on Saturday at a friends house ( too much to eat and drink ) which was lovely .
I've been so good in between and it's worked .

sweetheart · 04/11/2013 09:43

I've stayed the same this week which is pretty annoying - plus I've had an absolutely terrible weekend of over indulgence so I doubt I'll loose any this week either! I'm a bit fed up of the whole thing to be honest. Still 9Ibs away from my ideal weight and I've ground to a halt Sad

happy2bhomely · 04/11/2013 10:10

Weighing in at 11st12lbs.

Starting weight 2 weeks ago today was 12st7lbs.

I lost 7 lbs the first week and 2 lbs this week.

A lady I chat to on the bus told me this morning said she could see I had lost weight because my face is less round! Blush I can fit my whole hand down the waistband of my previously super tight trousers.

I feel so much better. I actually felt like my middle was over inflated, and now it's slowly deflating. I can bend again Grin

I've had my nails done with shellac and got a posh conditioner that has made my hair swish. Got a few new tops half price in the clearance bit too.

sweetheart Don't give up! The last bit is always the hardest. Don't let the weekend ruin what could still be a good week!

eggyweggies · 04/11/2013 10:22

My messages aren't sending! I hate the iPhone app!

I'll try one last time- I lost 3 pounds! I'm now 168 pounds! ShockSmile

eggyweggies · 04/11/2013 10:23

Blimey, happy, 7 pounds in one week! That's loads! Well done

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 04/11/2013 13:17

Hi everyone, sorry I've been MIA but we've had half term and a lot of cake.

So my starting weight was:184 lbs.
Week 1:182.5
Week 2:181.25

I ate my body weight in sausages at a bonfire on Saturday night so I am mega pleased. I'm away this weekend with DH so hoping some sex exercise will burn off the amount of food I will eat.

Well done everyone. We will fit in some smaller clothes by Christmas!

Mrspebble · 04/11/2013 13:21

Have stayed the same..didn't really put my all into it. Went walking this morning. Three miles with pram. Joing weight watchers tomorrow. Think I need the fear of being weighed

headoverheels · 04/11/2013 13:54

Hi all, can I join you please? Half term was a disaster! 2lb a week sounds like a good aim for me - from now that would be a stone off, and would give me a BMI within the healthy range. I eat fairly healthy meals but I need to stop snacking - crisps, flapjacks, jam sandwiches etc.

Height: 5'8"
Start weight on 4th Nov: 178lb
Goal weight on Christmas Day: 164lb

Food Plan: porridge for breakfast, sandwich / salad for lunch, healthy supper, NO SNACKS.

Exercise Plan: running / gym 2-3 times a week, pilates.

sweetheart · 04/11/2013 14:46

Right, I'm taking control! I've signed up with a trainer to kick my fat arse into shape! Wish me luck!
