20lbs lighter by Christmas Day, anyone?

Got weighed at weekend in one of those places where you can't shift your toes around on the scale to lose half a stone. Bit of a shock. Does anyone want to join me to be 20lb lighter by Christmas?

That's only 2lb a week. We can do it.

Height: 5'4"
Start weight on 21st October: 159lb
Goal Weight on Christmas Day: 139lb

Food Plan: no sugar or processed foods, lots of water, lots of veg and lean protein. Alcohol free on weekdays

Exercise Plan: Daily Shred plus what I already do (fitness class and walks)

Anyone want to join in and add plans, tips, motivators, anything at all to get us there by Christmas Day?

I'm 150lb but I didn't actually weigh myself last week and guessed ( too scared to get on the scales) I'm pretty sure I have lost a few pounds as my clothesline are a teensy bit looser. So now I know what I weigh hopefully next Monday Will show a loss. Well done everyone .

Would like to joint if not too late. Currently 140 lb - would like to be 120 lb. 5"1 so can really see the extra weight I am carrying.

Started healthy eating plan today, lots of veg and fruit, lean meat and off to gym tonight.

Welcome all new people. Thanks everyone who PMed with weight loss. It's dropping off! Anyone else want to be on the weightloss log, please pm me by 9pm as my brain stops about then, and I'll make maths mistakes, converting stones to pounds.

Had a day off today Hmm as friend was taking me to afternoon tea in London as a treat, but I've skipped dinner and will do v low cal day tomorrow, and also have a hill run booked in.

Fantastic weight loss so far. Happy2b is still Queen of the Christmas Lights, having lost 7lbs in one week!

Notagiraffe - can't pm as on phone but I'm 13st 13lb and would really rather like to be in the twelves by Christmas.

My diet today wasn't great. Tiredness is such a key factor and with a baby that has suddenly stopped sleeping in the past fortnight its really getting me down.She used to sleep well at night ans even before the clocks chanhed started being up eveey hour or awake for hours at 2am. I'm exhausted.

Hi notagiraffe. Start weight today of 152lb, which is 2lb less than I thought so I am already happy.

I used my fitness pal today for the first time and am so impressed with the diary for logging food. It is so easy to use although it has only allocated me 1200 calories. Sounds tough but doable.

I only lost a lb but I think I weighed myself midweek. Anyway, last week I was just trying to get back into the habit of eating mainly at meal times and not much snacking.
This week I'm going to go for calorie counting. I think I'm going to go for
breakfast 300 (normally have porridge)
lunch 400 (soup and roll mostly)
dinner 400 (whatever but will have mostly veg)
snack 200 (fruit and a biscuit)

I can't weigh in as I don't own scales but I've also only been doing this for a couple of days so I'll wait, but well done to everyone who's seen things shifting in the right direction. Today I managed 1800 calories I think. I should add that I'm not hungry so, um, perhaps I do over eat!

Hi. I forgot to weigh yesterday, so have just done it. 1lb lost, which (considering the bottle of wine and big bowl of pasta I had over the weekend,) is not too bad!
Starting weight 196lbs
Today 195lbs
Going to try and be much stricter this week, and get in as much exercise as I can too.

small victory today - I am in my "skinny" work trousers. I haven't worn them since June because I've been too big. I was going to drop a few more Ibs before trying them but I got a new top yesterday which I wanted to wear with them. They are a tiny bit snug but who cares Grin

Hi everyone,

Great to hear of even more weight losses this week. Even 1lb is two packs of butter - and 1lb a week is 10lb by Christmas which is enough to make a massive difference.

Btw, the PMing of weightloss is just if you want to be included in the round up. (So I don't have to trawl the whole thread to see which posts record losses.) No need to do it that way - just come on here instead. Whatever is easiest.

I want to lose 2lb this week. Got three socials though - two lunches out and yesterday's afternoon tea so not the easiest week to get skinny. Plan to eat salad, no puds or starters, drink only water and dry white, and keep moving.

Went for run last night, just 20 mins or so but haven't been out for weeks so it was good.

Nearly didn't go as cold and rainy but thought of you all and it spurred me on!

Gonna try and do exercise class tonight while kids are at athletics (same venue so should be OK)

Hi everyone,

Well I stayed the same and I know why, I have my period, I was bored over the long weekend and indulged a little two much out of habit & boredom (but I didn't drink! - at least that is an achievement). I had a crisis meeting with a friend who is pregnant unexpectedly and had an ice cream with her. Overall my willpower failed over the weekend, but I am not going to dwell, instead I will be forward facing and positive and focus on this weeks goal, which is a weight loss of 3 lbs.

Hmm, well I was honest on MFP and logged what I really ate at lunch yesterday. And I'd eaten enough for 2 days on MFP's diet. Blush Luckily wasn't hungry today (surprise) and did a big work out so am down by about 800 cals on today's quota.
I love the bit at the bottom of MFP where it tells you what you'd weigh in 5 weeks if every day were like today. Yesterday's estimate was a whopping 22lb heavier than today's.

First chance I have had to weigh in. I lost 2.5lb last week which am pleased with. Expect it will go on this week as half term and lots of people staying.

Goal for Christmas 165 lb
Ultimate goal 147 lb

I'm feeling like it can't be done Tbh. Need a lot of encouragement!
