Sorry, I clicked post.

They are knickers with a waterproof leak free gusset, but are not all crinkly, nor do they look like incontinence knickers. I will also use them when I'm on my period because I normally have about 24 hours when I'm excessively heavy, so it will also give me piece of mind that I'm not leaking everywhere.

SummerSazz · 07/01/2015 07:15

Ah, they do look handy for heavy periods Velma.

Well I braved the scales and apparently 11.7 (or 11.2 Hmm) which is about +4 IIRC. However I remain sceptical as to the accuracy.

+4 is probably about right but actual added weight rather than bloating as I haven't had any alcohol for a week and no excessive food as been poorly for the last few days.

No gym today as swapped work days so not quite back into the groove yet - will try to keep focus on food as a priority and exercise once I'm feeling better.

That's not too bad sazz you really need to get those scales sorted!

School run done went to the gym and did a mix of cardio/resistance but not too much!

Hoping for double school run later windy/wet weather permitting!

Hope you are feeling on track today Fjorny/Velma xx

Hello, happy new year. Work is OK I guess. Kids are wonderful. DD did all sorts of educational stuff this holiday and went back to school ridiculously excited that her hair was long enough for a pony tail. DS obsessed with hero factory.

Feeling fat. Sigh. We will see if waving my hands and vaguely hoping that I lose weight is a more effective strategy this year than it was last ...

GiantGaspingSatanicCyst · 07/01/2015 22:27

loti you do indeed know me from August threads of old :)

Anyway. I am very happily not drinking since new year, and have made it back to the gym after December's total write off. Did 50 fast lengths in their smallish pool yesterday, have booked a YogaTone class (whatever the fuck that is) for tomorrow.

Well done on gym going cyst - I may even go today just to calibrate my scales Hmm. You are probably unaware unless you have been reading our drivel but my brand new very expensive scales have been consistently weighing 5lb over

11.5 (11.0?) this morning. Seem to have recallibrated the appetite this week and also no alcohol so feel a bit kinder to my body.

Probably out for dinner tonight - part of me wants to go and the other not as I have been doing so well. Unfortunately I am not someone who can go out and eat a lettuce leaf - all or nothing for me

Gym scales at 11.0 as predicted. So ok, but pesky half a stone needs to go.

Hi DrG - am laughing about your waving your arms around ineffectually for a year Grin. Are you still cycling to work?

LOTI - we have freezing rain and wind here so don't think it would be a nice walk here!

Hello GiantGaspingSatanicCyst that means I will know you too (hi!) but can't quite work out who you are. Am v v impressed at the exercise from everyone.

No, not cycling at the moment. But I did get bike lights for Christmas. Does this count? I also got an amaryllis which is doing very well.

loti do you do early morning walks in the dark? It wasn't light here until really late today.

Evening all. Well my eating is under control and I've been to Zumba at the school over the road. Ive had a terrible 2 days at work which resulted in me crying in front of students so when I got home I really didn't want to go, but then I thought, no the fuckers aren't going to detrail my personal plans, they can fuck me about at home, but not at work.

I enjoyed it, the instructor was good and the routines not too hard even though i can't really do legs and arms together, although I give it a good go.

The diary doll knickers arrived, but they are a very odd shape. They have a low leg with a wide gusset, but they are quite low rise, so sit under my podge. If they were cheaper I would keep them, but at £15 a pair, I'll just get by with my granny knickers and a tena and laying a towel on the bed when I'm really heavy. It's true though they aren't really crinkly Grin

I'm off for a spa day tomorrow and they have a 25m pool, so I'm going to take my goggles to do a few laps. I'm also going to take my kindle and its waterproof cover. I will also resist the desserts which I'm sure they'll have on the 'healthy buffet'.

DrG posted whilst I was writing, but when I did my nordic walking on Tuesday and at times I was in the pitch dark with just the light from my head torch. I was lovely, all sensory deprivation, exactly the feeling I get with swimming, so all I had to think about was how my body was moving. I'll probably feel sad once the lighter nights come round.

Velma - I was a little emotional blubbed at the school gates today. Well done you for rising above it and I hope the fuckers leave you alone when you return. In the meantime have a fab spa tomorrow Smile

DrG, I expect the amaryllis is prettier than the bike lights Grin

Had takeaway curry - one beer, curry, 1/2 rice and a poppadom. Absolutely bloody stuffed!!

DrG O RLY?

I'm trying to think of a suitable secret handshake reveal Grin

Turns out YogaTone is a quite brutal dynamic yoga/pilates type thing. It was great! I thought it would be swishy woo nonsense at the start, when we were all swinging our arms around in fake tai chi motions, but fifteen minutes later it was all plank-to-lunge and so on. I feel worked.

Velma I couldn't do much of the moves on Zumba either but as it was done in the dark I made up some of my own Grin
