SummerSazz · 29/10/2014 09:45

Gym scales at 10.12 so no miracle there. Boo Sad

I need to check back on the thread from last autumn to see what I was doing then which worked as clearly my current strategy isn't!!
I do feel less wobbly so am holding on to that at the moment for motivation Smile

LOTI - hope hols going well and hope you're having a good 1/2 term Fjorny Smile

SummerSazz · 29/10/2014 10:42

Well done on the exercise sazz tho Angry at the +1 I reckon you will be 2 down tomorrow Smile

Still stuck at 11.3

Walked 3 miles this morning, but now am away for a few days so being good is going to be HARD!!!!

LOTI - I reckon you'll be burning thousands of calories. It must be a similar effect to doing yoga in the sauna Grin

SummerSazz · 02/11/2014 20:37

Oopsadaisy Grin

Downside - food & drink
Upside - 2 days at 18k steps a day

Not sure scales are even but hey ho!

velmadinkly · 03/11/2014 19:07

Hi all, can I join please. I weighed in this morning at 10at 11.5lb. I'm doing weightwatchers. I lost 4st 14 years ago on ww and kept it off intil I had DD. I then lost 2.5 st of my baby weight to get back to goal (DD is nearly 6). My original goal weight on ww is 10st 8lb which is a bmi of 25 for me, but I used to weigh in on an evening, fully clothed with my shoes on Shock so I think I should aim for about 10st 4lb or a little less. I also need to tone up.

I've got a good few weeks in which I can focus on myself because I'm about to start the last leg of my MSc by way of doing my dissertation of which I study distance learning, so proof I'm quite self motivated.

I've got one child, a supportive DH, I work 4 days a week, so dont do school runs etc. My DH works shifts so I can't do exercise classes because id only make every other week. I love swimming and I'm planning on doing the great manchester swim next year.

I'm generally good with my food during the day, its on an evening where I struggle, so I'm just going to ignore the fact that we've got biscuits in the cupboardGrin

So, that's me. I would love to lose the 7lb by Christmas.

SummerSazz · 04/11/2014 20:47

Hi Velma, you are most welcome to join our motley crew. We have been rather absent for half term, but back now for the pre-xmas push.

I too weighed back in at 11.5 this morning but if you have read the thread this is on my dodgy (of course Wink) fitbit scales which seem to be weighing at c5lb heavier than the gym scales. Anyhoo however I look at it I also have 1/2 stone plus to lose.

ok with food today and hope to be back in the exercise groove tomorrow. Missed my run today as had to work so i'll blame them for my lardiness!

Need to get back to logging on FF but have friends for the weekend and am away on a course next week which has loads of food and free bar. Great for the weak willed. NOT. Wine

LOTI, Fjorny, DrG - HALF TERM IS OVER!!!!!!!

Luckoftheirish · 04/11/2014 21:23

Ah now sazz we have had two inset days so half term is officially over tomorrow WinkWinkWink

With that in mind I shall return to the safe haven of the hot mamas Smile

Welcome Vella Smile 7 weeks we can do half a stone in that time Smile

SummerSazz · 04/11/2014 22:44

Welcome back LOTI - hope got a lovely dose of vitamin D input from source and managed a couple of lengths of the pool Grin

I really must restart my morning 10 mins or even the shred. It really makes such a difference to the wobby bits (of which there are now many!)

Luckoftheirish · 05/11/2014 06:41

Morning allSmile

Scales not that bad after hols but def need a good half stone off, work trousers v v tight!

Brisk 20 mins walk in freezing cold done. Two school runs to do so should clock a good 5 miles today if the weather is kind to me!

Enjoy the gym sazz I have forgotten what mine looks like Blush

velmadinkly · 05/11/2014 07:02

Thanks for letting me in.Grin

Well, my food was all pointed yesterday, but it wasn't the best tea/dinner ever. DH rustled something up out of the freezer and we ended up with a double helping of the carb component, so I was really good and left some on my plate.

I'm all set for work food wise, so once again it's just a matter of not eating biscuits when I get in.

I do get a little excercise daily because I ride my bike to work, only 10mins or so each way though. If I walked I would get in 25/30 mins, but time is lacking in the morning especially when I have to do breakfast club drop off and there have been a few occasions when I've seen the clock on an evening and realised its 20mins until after school club closes and I've had to morph into Bradley Wiggins and peddle like the clappers to arrive 2 minutes to closing with DD stood at the door with one of the carers, bags in hand etc. Shock.

SummerSazz · 05/11/2014 07:27

Oh bloody hell LOTI, you are just SO good in the mornings. I just love my bed too much Blush

20 mins cycling is great Velma and I know only too well the haring it back for after school club. Ours finishes at 5 which is not particularly helpful. I'm great at food on work days as I don't get tempted by cake/biscuits etc. socialising is my downfall. Perhaps I should become a nun Grin

Dinner last night here was some cheese, a packet of prawn cocktail crisps and a slimline G&(S)T. I blame my period......

SummerSazz · 05/11/2014 17:43

10.13 at gym versus 11.4 here this morning so still a consistent 5lb difference. Not great as I just seem stuck!
1 hour circuits, 45 mins spin and 2.5 mile walk

velmadinkly · 05/11/2014 17:54

Summer, you exercising is far too good and puts me to absolute shame. I need to have a look to see if I have any gaps in the week where I could do exercise. The only problem is, is that I don't like exercising in the evening and I don't particularly like the gym. Hmm, I will have to think.

SummerSazz · 05/11/2014 22:47

Ha ha, I do very little all week and then go a tad crazy on a Weds. I need to spread it out lol

SummerSazz · 06/11/2014 05:51

11.3 through bleary eyes. How come I can get up at this time for work but not to exercise. Hmm

FjorGynAndHotWater · 07/11/2014 07:28

Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry BlushBlushBlush

Away this weekend but am DEFINITELY back on the wagon on Monday...

On the plus side am only +2 because of the holidays, on the minus I was already a bit over before they started and am 12 bloody 8 today and as it's mostly going round my middle I am running out of clothes and mainly look like a pig in a frock Grin although still have a thinnish face so see you next week for serious HotMamaing until Saturday when we are going to pizza hut as a birthday treat for DD oh lordy!

OP posts:
Luckoftheirish · 07/11/2014 07:34

Hey Fjorny good to see you Smile I agree that Monday should be a serious start! Have not gone back to my exercise yet ( except for my 4 mile walks which makes no difference as body so used to it!)

Have had a cough/coldy thing for over a week now so plan to spend this weekend getting well and then all guns blazing Smile

velmadinkly · 07/11/2014 07:53

I'm doing ok so far. I live quite a boring life and don't have much planned for the weekend < plays tiny violin> other than my parents coming down this Sunday. We will be going out for lunch, but I can easily say where we are going and lets be honest Sunday lunch is not too bad when you omit the yorkshire pudding etc., although that is the best bit. I may have points left to cover it though.

I do look forward to Saturday's because DD is at dancing, so I have 2hours of nattering with my friends and putting the world to rights. Its even more exciting when DH has been on afternoon shifts because I have no adult conversation on an evening when I get in from work. We have quick chats whilst I'm getting ready for work in the morning, but that's as much as I see him and the conversations are usually of he sort relating to remembering to send DD to school with toy/money/picture from her holidays etc.

Oh well, I will go get myself ready for work, then I'm off to get a top to wear to an awards ceremony I'm going to in a few weeks (I've won an award for my 'excellent work' for my MSc).

DoctorGilbertson · 09/11/2014 19:17

Hello,

Welcome Velma. I have lots of weight to lose.

Sigh. A second puncture in the bike here, so in the car again. I do not like my commute. Debating on the bus tomorrow, which has a nice walk attached. And I can daydream while on the bus.

Also walked round Duxford today, and wondering if that counts.

SummerSazz · 09/11/2014 22:48

Evening all - was 11.2 on Friday, I suspect it is far more now Grin

However on the upside I managed 10k steps both yesterday and today .

Hope you had a lovely Saturday Velma - a few hours chatting is certainly very therapeutic Smile. Congrats on the award for 'excellent work' and I hope you found a nice top.

Boo for the bike punctures DrG and the bus/walk combo sounds good.

LOTI - take care of yourself and don't go mad until you are properly well.

I'm away on a course for the week and suspect my mobile access may be severely curtailed so don't send out the search parties if I don't post much over the next few days. I shall report back in next weekend!

velmadinkly · 10/11/2014 06:42

I weighed 10st 9.6lb on Friday and this morning I weighed 10st 10lb dead up, so a loss of 1.5lb. The weekend was good, back to work today, but only a half day, so not too bad.

Hope you get yourself sorted with your bike DrG. A puncture is what I dread its amazing how much more I get done in work with the 15 minute advantage I get from cycling in rather than walking.

Summer, I hope your course is not too boring and there are interesting people to chat to in the breaks etc.

Anybody else, have a nice day and week Smile

Luckoftheirish · 12/11/2014 06:53

Morning ladies Smile

Having a bad week only just about managing the school runs due to pesky weather I reckon the car will be needed if the rain continues today!

I think I am down a little but only because I have been super busy and not really paying attention to what I am eating oops! However I have made some soup just leek and potatoes but that consisted of leek/potato/ stock cube! I normally sweat the veggies in a mound of butter Blush But thought I would try and be good. It's actually very moreish Wink
