I want to lose 2stone by Christmas! Ripping and others I need you!

OK I have had for too many days 'off' the diet recently and am in danger of undoing all my previous good work. I am currently creeping up to 12st, which is a weight I promised myself I'd never be again, and so I would love to lose about 2st by Christmas - anything in the very low tens would be AMAZING.
So I am going to:

  • Restart the Shred - I've not been as bad at this as I could have been but for one reason or another have had lots of days off. I was enjoying (in a masochistic way) level 2 and so need to carry on
  • Calorie count again, but not try to eat ridiculously low calories (was often at 600-700)
  • Eat meals and no chocolate until I sit down for the evening
  • Remember why I'm doing this. Diabetes, joint pain, heart attack - all less risky than when I was over 16st but still an issue.
  • Go shopping when I am nearing my target - I did this in the summer and really enjoyed buying clothes I thought I looked good in as opposed to how shopping has always been for me - what do I need, and what do I look least worst in? That'll do.

And I'm going to use this thread for motivation. I will report in. Feel free to mock me if I'm not here - it means I am slipping up and face down in a box of haribo
(for the kids, obviously)

I completed the shred throughout the summer, really got me motivated, but had to do it behind closed curtains and in front of a fan!

It's tough but awesome.

Run today was great, I feel as though I'm getting somewhere now.

I weighed in today and lost 1.5lb. So that's my 1st stone gone - never to return! So 13.5lb's to lose before Xmas. On a mission Smile

Well done Sunshine!

Don't think I'll weigh in this week
Period coming and I feel awful

However I have just been inspired by an old diary of mine
I was 40lbs lighter and 8 inches smaller round the waist. 8 inches, that's shocking!!

i've just been back to the scales in Boots, good news is i've regained those 4 inches i lost off my height last week, but also lost another lb!

that's 7lbs in 4 weeks - i know i won't make the 2 stone mark by christmas, but 1 1/2st is looking doable Shock

Pink Thanks for you, sweetie.

i have racks of clothes i will never fit into again (i've had another baby since buying some of them ffs), but i've been keeping them to torture myself with.
i'm going to chuck them all out, i'm doing this for a new me, it depresses me to see them hanging there, but wtaf am i keeping them for Confused they are faded and out of date Grin

Well done Sunshine and Ripping.

I fell off the wagon yesterday and today and I'm really annoyed with myself.

I'm really busy and I had someone hassling me for something even though I'm the client Hmm plus I've taken on too much work for a relative and need to work out a way of backing off slightly and I ended up eating crisps and chocolate.

Also having a really bad hair day at the moment and that makes me feel bad about myself.

1lb off this week. Not too bad considering my major blip earlier in the week.

It's all about the long game, Artic

Well done

Hmmm. I have been pretty good this week but a pound back on! Never mind, not giving up.

Don't give up, Thermo

It will start to come off again

Forgot to congratulate Sunshine upthread, not intentional - well done

Hope everyone has some nice weekend plans.

I'm doing OK so far. DH wanted to order a curry last night. Tempted as I was I declined the offer. He tried to persuade me to order a fish kebab as a low point option - still declined. Much as I love curry, a takeout one is sky high in WW points.

Will go for a run later. Am alternating C25K with Shred.

That's why I'm doing the 5:2, you're only restricted for 2 days a week.

We had take away last night but I was only able to eat half what I would have done before I started this - I threw half the chips away :-O

Pressed post too soon

How are you getting on with the c25k, sunshine?

I don't run at weekends, but am ready to start w4 on monday - there's a 3k fun run in 4 weeks, that's my goal now

No change for me this week but it wasn't a great week and I didn't have my fast days so I'm just relieved that there was no weight gain.

How is everyone else getting on? It's gone quiet on here.

Hey all. Was coming on to say where is everyone. But see we have some updates. This thread is keeping me from being bad so please don't stop posting! I have lost 9lbs overall with some fairly naughty weekends. Someone commented on my weight yesterday so feeling good! Need to start exercising as I want things to speed up a bit!

ThermoLobster · 19/10/2013 15:50

Meant to say well done Ripping and keep going Arctic! We are all doing great.

Oh well done all Smile

Yes I need to start the exercising too as I have let that slip.

Nice work, Thermo!

Exercise is good, Artic, what will you do?

Sunshine and Pink have disappeared :(

Hope they're ok, I think I saw Pink posting some unhappier threads so a wee nod to you if you're lurking :)

I did start doing The Shred, Gripping. I was getting up 30 minutes earlier to do it as I find it difficult to find the time if I don't do it first thing. At 6am I just don't want to get out of bed and exercise.

Need to kick myself up the backside as I do actually enjoy The Shred and it does make a real difference to my fitness levels.

GrippingArms · 19/10/2013 19:23

Why not just do it at weekends until you get in the swing of it, then maybe a Wednesday, then build it up slowly?

Report
TheArticFunky · 25/10/2013 17:54

1.25 lb off this week.

Slowly but surely. I haven't fasted at all this week so it's quite good that it is coming off without trying very hard.

Hi Artic

Ripping/gripping here :-D

Well done, I'm found after a slow week where i only dropped 1lb I dropped 4 the next, so it's definitely worth sticking with.

I'm hoping to have hit the stone next week, it's really possible to lose 2 by christmas :)
