Today is a big day for me, a turning point! I've always been 'big' however have just been getting bigger and bigger. I want to lose 6 stone- starting from today.

Anyone else in the same boat who would like to swap inspiration and tips? Today I've planned to eat healthily and go for a nice long walk Grin

I couldn't go tht long I tend to have tea about 6 with DS and then sometimes a bowl of cereal before bed if too hungry. That way I don't want to snack too much!

I have tomorrow's reminder now. The past few years, I've really really wanted to apply for The Great British Bake Off but I didn't dare as I couldn't bare the thought of being on tv at the size I was. I had zero confidence and was shy etc. That's going to change. I'm going to apply for it next year and I won't hold back from my dream just because of how I look. I will be happy and confident :)

IsaacCox · 20/08/2013 19:45

MissElodie I know how you feel with your reminder :( Hope you're ok.

LegoAcupuncture · 20/08/2013 20:10

Oh MissElodie, know hat feeling well. I've put off a wry dear old friend coming up loads of times as I am ashamed of myself.

And Grin at your Freudian slip.

Have had spaghetti bolognese for a, was lovely and resisted the half block of cheese I usually have on too of it and replaced with orange peppers and mushrooms. Was rather delicious.

MiaWallace · 20/08/2013 20:16

Thanks for the camping food suggestions.

Isaac that's a fantastic goal.

I love GBBO. I'm recording it so I can watch it tomorrow. Don't want to watch it now when I'm already peckish,

I'm very late to the party here and haven't yet read the whole thread (sorry Blush ) but could I join in please? I have 6-7 stone to lose and just have the biggest problem with compulsive overeating.

I had dd2 about 17 weeks ago and managed to gain no weight during pregnancy, so by the time she was born I weighed less that I had to start with.

But since the birth, I've piled on nearly 2st. In 17 weeks!!! Breastfeeding makes me hungry all the time, as does sleep deprivation, and I have gone to town. I'm so angry with myself, but determined to sort this out.

I'm in Aus, so will be posting at weird times (it's 3.15am here at the moment) but could really use the support.

HenriettaPye · 20/08/2013 21:00

Evening quiche avoiders Smile

Sorry I haven't been around much, had a crazily hectic few days, just sitting down now with a diet coke and some grapes to have a read through the thread and see what I've missed!

Anyway...OFFICIAL WEIGH IN TOMORROW!! I will be delighted if I get another 2lb off but not holding much hope as my heart just hasn't been in it the past few days. Severe kick up the arse needed!!Grin

We will just do the same as last week, everyone posts their results then tomorro evening I'll make a list again Smile

Wow Issac fantastic goal. I love baking but cant decorate things for toffee so don't think I would get on very well.

Congratulations on the baby notafoodbabyanymore sleep deprivation also makes me hungry too so I know how you feel on that one! I will probably be around at your weird times anyway MN gets me through sleep deprivation!

Lorelai · 20/08/2013 21:11

Oh, handy that you do your weigh in on Wednesdays, I am joining slimming world tomorrow so will also be weighing on Wednesdays.

LayMizzRarb · 20/08/2013 22:21

Mia, how about taking some corn cobs to throw on the BBQ ? If you're WW they are only 2 points each. They take about 10 minutes to cook.

Oops, stupid phone, thought my post hadn't worked - should have known better!

Thanks Sirzy, love my kids to pieces and proud of what my body has achieved, but so pissed off with myself for what is, frankly, self harming behaviour.

So, it has to stop. Have ordered a cross trainer online and decided that every time the urge comes over me to eat when I'm not hungry I'll do 10 squats or 10 mins on cross trainer. I'll also aim for 3 good sessions on cross trainer at least each week.

I'm already encouraged by reading some of your stories. Thank you.

Morning ladies Grin

3lb down this morning! I'm really pleased, not a great weekend but have been trying to make up for it since and it's paying off!

Good luck to all weighing today Grin

BirdingWidow · 21/08/2013 06:43

Morning everyone.

Weighed in at 4.5lb down, so now 14.7 exactly. That was over 9 days though as I started last Monday. Am chuffed with that.

Next mini goal is to get below 14.4, which is the 200lb barrier, in the next 2 weeks.

Good luck to all weighers (is that a word?) today Smile

Lorelai · 21/08/2013 06:51

Well done phantom and birding, really good losses.

MiaWallace · 21/08/2013 07:06

Well done on your losses ladies.

Disappointed to report I've stayed the same. I was expecting it though after a big loss last week and then my massive splurge on my cheat day.

I'm not going to be too disheartened though. Just going to start a fresh today and make sure I have a good one to report next week.

Good luck everyone Smile

cq · 21/08/2013 07:23

Morning all, I'm delighted to report that all the weight I gained on holiday last week has gone - plus a little bit more!!

So I lost 3.9 lbs since Saturday, or net 0.8lbs since pre-holiday weigh-in.

That takes me to 203.3lbs, so like you, Birding, I'll be looking to break the magical 200lb barrier in the next week or two.

Good luck to all weighing in today, and if the scales aren't kind, don't be down hearted - this is a marathon, not a sprint, and all that matters is to keep moving in the right direction - whether you're Mo Farah or the guy in the deep sea diving suit who took days to finish!!

My motivation for today is to be able to get back into my walking trousers so I can walk the Ridgeway with my BFF once the kids are back at school. Can nearly do them up!

TiredNursey · 21/08/2013 07:26

4lbs down today. Thats my first half stone! And my first mini target.
I'm really pleased.
If I keep this up, I should not have a problem continuing with 2lbs weekly. At least while I still have so much to lose. (93bs to go to get to final target of 11.5st)

Well done to everyone else who has lost. Mia you have maintained. Thats as hard as losing sometimes.

Sirzy · 21/08/2013 07:31

Well done everyone :)

I have lost 3lb which takes me to 13 stone 10 and under the 2 stone loss mark.

Just another 4 stone to go now!

IsaacCox · 21/08/2013 07:53

Well done all :)

I've lost 3lb this week. Plus ipI've lost 5.5 inches. 1 from stomach, 2 from waist, 0.5 from left thigh, 0.5 from left and right lower leg and 1 from my bum.

So starting weight- 17st 11
Current weight- 16st 5

Have a great day everyone :)

IsaacCox · 21/08/2013 07:58

I've just weighed in on MFP and I'm out of the 230's and into the 220's! I've not been under 230 for years Blush and I'm lighter now (than a lb) than I was when I got married Grin

Lorelai · 21/08/2013 08:09

Wow, amazing losses!! Mia, staying the same is better than a gain, and you seem to have the right attitude about it which is almost more important.

IKnewHouseworkWasDangerous · 21/08/2013 08:25

1.5lb loss. Not massive but hey i have had some cheats this week and it is going in the right direction.

LegoAcupuncture · 21/08/2013 08:42

Well don everyone on the losses! My WI day was Monday and 7 lbs down.

SummerHoliDidi · 21/08/2013 09:18

Some great losses here, well done everyone!

I weighed on Saturday and lost 1.5lbs taking me to a total of 12lbs. It's taken 2 months to lose it, but slow and steady wins the race. If I carry on at this pace I could be at target by the middle of January (that's allowing for a little blip at Christmas)
