Today is a big day for me, a turning point! I've always been 'big' however have just been getting bigger and bigger. I want to lose 6 stone- starting from today.

Anyone else in the same boat who would like to swap inspiration and tips? Today I've planned to eat healthily and go for a nice long walk Grin

I have just done something I have never done before - weighed out the 30g 'portion' of cereal. Shock! I will be chewing my own fists off by lunchtime.

I think this may be the secret to why some people are slim and I am not Grin

IsaacCox · 16/08/2013 08:43

Thanks Yellow :) I've just added you.

Grin Birding.

Sirzy · 16/08/2013 09:13

Welcome natalie. Good luck!

phantomhairpuller · 16/08/2013 09:30

Morning ladies Grin
Welcome Natalie Smile

Have done my 'challenges' for the day and am now blitzing the house as we're away for the w/e.

I'm feeling a bit daunted by this w/e as we're staying with family and that usually means lots of food and drink! I'm not shouting about the fact that I'm on a diet as I feel like everyone mainly my MIL will be waiting for me to fail again.

It will test my resolve that's for sure!!

Have a good one all Grin

Oops forgot my daily reminder too...

DH has promised me a whole wardrobe of new clothes for when I lose weight as an incentive. Thankfully he loves me and fancies me just the way I am but he knows how miserable being this size makes me.

Sirzy · 16/08/2013 13:07

oops just had a chippy for dinner Blush only half a portion of chips and a sausage so not as bad as it could have been but still not good.

Annoying thing is it is sitting really heavily and I am wishing i hadn't bothered!

MiaWallace · 16/08/2013 15:16

Another mini victory today.

I went to the cinema and had a calippo (90 cals). Normally would have Pepsi, popcorn and ice cream.

Having a planned cheat day tomorrow. My husband works away and only gets to come home one weekend a fortnight. Plan to have a big roast dinner tomorrow and a couple of drinks. Think one cheat day a fortnight will be good for me psychologically and hopefully won't do too much damage physically.

LegoAcupuncture · 16/08/2013 15:39

Daily reminder - I want to sit on a chair with an open back and not worry my arse is bulging out of it.

I'm eating sultana bran flakes for breakfast and quite enjoying it. Might have some poached eggs on toast tomorrow though for a change.

Was out at the park with the DC today and my mam decided that we should have a pub lunch. Was a bit silly and had a ham and cheese panini with side of chips, but never had breakfast and will have a salad for tea to counteract the calories.

Weekend coming, anyone got anything planned not involving food?

RootRelatedInjury · 16/08/2013 15:54

Only work Lego! On nightshift tonight and tomorrow night sadly but it will be good for the diet.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Smile

clarinetV2 · 16/08/2013 17:11

Well done for the calippo, Mia, and enjoy your planned cheat day. A day like that every fortnight has kept me on the path of righteousness for a year now. Hope your roast dinner is a really good one!

Sirzy · 16/08/2013 17:26

Calippo a good idea, I am going to the cinema on sunday so will try to do the same!

I have just put a load of my size 18 dresses on ebay for money for my "cruise fund" its great to be getting rid of clothes because they are too big rather than because I am too big!

HenriettaPye · 16/08/2013 17:35

Well I have fallen off the wagon quite spectacularly today! Chocolate, crisps, sweets galore Confused

What the hell is wrong with me! I so desperately want to be thin but can't stop eating!!! Aaaagh!!!!

Henrietta we've all done it and that's why we are here.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again. As long as you keep trying you will be fine. It's when we stop trying that it all goes terribly wrong.

MissElodie · 16/08/2013 18:14

yellow you can see a definite difference in your pics well done - and well done to your DH too he sounds lovely and supportive! I've added you as a friend on MFP Smile

hello and welcome to Natalie

Henrietta down be down on yourself - this happens to us all. Important thing is not to let the blip carry on and on and get into bad habits again. You've done really well this week so tomorrow just remember that and get back on track again. Its not all going to be plain sailing but WE WILL get there.....even with the odd days like this along the way! Grin

Mia Hope you have a nice treat day and nice weekend with DH, I love roast dinners yum yum!

oh my daily reminder for today has been - I won't get so hot and sweaty when I'm no longer lugging around all this extra weight!

MissElodie · 16/08/2013 18:17

oops Henrietta I mean *don't be down not down be down!!

IKnewHouseworkWasDangerous · 16/08/2013 18:20

Gah. I have been doing torcherously well but I am going out to dinner with my family tomorrow and i have just seen the menu. All the weight is going back on andit so wont be worth it. I wouldnt mind if it was food I really wanted.

IKnewHouseworkWasDangerous · 16/08/2013 18:29

I really like everyones daily reminders. They are very motivational.

Sirzy · 16/08/2013 20:35

I hope you find something you enjoy on the menu Iknew!

I like the daily reminders. Mine today is that I want to be able to pick any dress I like for my 30th in January.

whattodoo · 16/08/2013 20:55

Hi everyone. I haven't checked in for a while, but have been doing slimming world for 1.5 weeks. Lost 3.5lb first week. Have had a few small blips, but my motivation is to get into a size 12 wedding dress next April, so I'm trying hard to focus on that.

Can I ask a TMI question? Is anyone else constipated since cutting out the fatty junk? I thought that all the fruit and veg would help things, but sadly not.

I'm going to look into MFP tomorrow, and Also an exercise programme.

IKnewHouseworkWasDangerous · 16/08/2013 21:03

Whattodo I cant say I have been. My diet right now mainly consists of coffee vegetables a small amount of lean meat and water. I am on slimmers world too and trying to be extra good as I am fairly immobile right now. I will up the syns when I settle into it and get more exercise.

Thanks sirzy.

Sirzy · 16/08/2013 21:08

Well done on the loss Iknew. I haven't had that problem thankfully.

MiaWallace · 16/08/2013 21:14

Isaac I saw Skinny Topcorn on your MFP diary. Is it worth buying?

I can only find it as bulk purchase on Amazon but I'm tempted to buy them if they are a tasty low calorie treat

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 16/08/2013 21:16

Skinny Topcorn is gorgeous. Some Sainsburys branches sell it, or Itsu sushi places - I brought eight bags back from London earlier this year.

MiaWallace · 16/08/2013 21:22

Thanks. I'm going to Sainsbury's tomorrow so will have a look.

What flavours would you recommend?
