Today is a big day for me, a turning point! I've always been 'big' however have just been getting bigger and bigger. I want to lose 6 stone- starting from today.

Anyone else in the same boat who would like to swap inspiration and tips? Today I've planned to eat healthily and go for a nice long walk Grin

katydid02 · 13/08/2013 15:58

I've just joined MFP, I'm katydidadiet on there if anybody wants to add me.

BoysWillGrow · 13/08/2013 16:26

I haven't been on here for a couple of days but i am sticking to the diet, just hope i've lost something tomorrow to make it worth it though.
Also i'm BoysWillGrow on MFP feel free to add me too.

IsaacCox · 13/08/2013 16:27

Welcome paranoid :)

Gross, that's awful Katy. I've added you on MFP.

onetiredmummy · 13/08/2013 16:50

Arse! Its my first week of mfp together with shedloads of excercise, my first 'weigh in' today & I've lost 4 lb. Yay.

I then proceed to eat 3 big handfuls of tortilla crisps this afternoon, great big handfuls that have me feeling crap again :(

katydid02 · 13/08/2013 17:11

Well done onetired. Don't stress about the crisps, when I dieted and lost 4 stone I had one day a week when I ate whatever I wanted. I used to have whatever I liked for lunch on weigh in day and stuck to it religiously the rest of the time. It helped keep me going.

Sirzy · 13/08/2013 17:15

Well done one tired thats a great loss!

don't worry about the crisps, you have to eat some nice things!

onetiredmummy · 13/08/2013 17:26

Thanks katy & sirzy, I wanted to do a bit of cycling later but now its raining so no exercise for me today unless it stops.

Sirzy · 13/08/2013 17:29

thats why I like the wii and the shred because i can do it whatever the weather!

LegoAcupuncture · 13/08/2013 17:31

Oh don't worry about the crisps. You've just bed weighed and did amazingly well. A little treat after you've been weighed is a good incentive :)

Debs75 · 13/08/2013 18:07

Lego how many points do you have a day and do you stick to them or do you use your weeklies? I tend to stick to mine, 31, and maybe have 1 or 2 weeklies a couple of times a week. I do have bad 'counting' lapses though and undercount a lot so am going back to week 1 nd weighing and counting everything.

A good day today as went to a beach party run by CHild dynamix and they did a healthy subway style lunch so managed a good filling dinner of 7 pp Helped me have a lovely Mexican tea of 18pp

MissElodie · 13/08/2013 18:55

Well I was pleased with myself before as I was just about to have a second dairy milk little bar but had a big glass of water instead - didn't quite taste the same but I was happy that I stopped myself!

Although.... I have just had a milky bar little bar of choc now but its within my calories so I don't feel bad!

LegoAcupuncture · 13/08/2013 19:04

I have 38 points, so no quite going to go over. Very a rarely use them all though. I know the points tend to be higher if you use the online one to if you use the classes.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 13/08/2013 19:12

Can I join in?

Lost 1.5 stone so far but need to lose at least another 3.5 to be anywhere near Ok - my ideal weight is something like 7 and a half stone and there is no way I'll see that again! The pain of being a shortarse.

I lost 4 stone with WW pre-kids, so I know I can do it. Now doing SW.

YellowCanary1 · 13/08/2013 19:18

Off topic slightly but you ladies are so lovely and really seem to understand the low confidence issues that come with being over weight. This may be a tall order though....

Can anyone help me find a dress. Dh's grandpa has died and I have nothing at all for the funeral. The family are all close and I want to make an effort for grandpa, he deserves it! I'd rather order online as I haven't done clothes shopping in a shop for over 2 years as I hate it!
I'll be about 13st7 then. I'm 5ft9 and mainly breasts, tummy and hips at moment, though waist gone down lots! I only gave birth 10 weeks ago so still have a bit of post pregnancy figure. It also needs to be breastfeeding friendly!! any ideas?

clarinetV2 · 13/08/2013 19:21

Well done, MissElodie, saying no to a second little bar of chocolate. I can't do that. I've got much better at saying no to the first, but I'm afraid one little bar of chocolate doesn't work for me. It's either at least two little bars, or more often one bigger bar. 100g milky bar is one of my treats of choice, for 'treat' days. Love it!

Was wondering whether someone can answer this. Last week I joined MFP (wish I'd known about it a year ago) and entered what I've eaten. Calories aren't a surprise as I'm in the habit of counting more-or-less faithfully, and on non-treat days I'm well within carb and usually within sugar goals. But I'm way over on sodium most days, and slightly over on protein. Should I worry about either of these?

LegoRelatedInjury · 13/08/2013 19:28

Yellow What about this ? It's in the sale too.

Sorry for you and your Dh's loss.

YellowCanary1 · 13/08/2013 19:34

thanks lego but link won't work?

YellowCanary1 · 13/08/2013 19:35

ignore that - working now! thank you I like this.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 13/08/2013 19:40

Hello! Not sure wether to call you you're or bastards! Managed to keep under 1400 calories again today but not had chance to do any exercise yet but not working tomorrow so should get a decent workout in then.

Slightly apprehensive about weighing tomorrow as I don't feel like I've lost anything but need to remember I'm in it for the long game.

yellow I'm rubbish with fashion but I'm sure the posters over on Style and Beauty will find you something perfect!

Good luck for tomorrow's weigh in everyone!

LegoRelatedInjury · 13/08/2013 19:40

Don't know what happened there! I tried clicking on my link too there and it had disappeared.

Sirzy · 13/08/2013 19:43

Yourall - welcome, and another fellow short arse!

To be in the centre of healthy BMI I would need to get down to about 8 stone, but realistically I will be happy to get under 10 which will take me just into healthy weight.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 13/08/2013 20:57

I've just logged some exercise on mfp and its showing double, anyone else with this problem? Its correct in my diary but not on the newsfeed Confused
