Week 4 - New Year Bootcamp - Where We Really Get Going

Morning all!

Quick post from me as I have to go to work. Damn that RL!

Come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Remember that in this week, it is still likely that you may see very little or even no loss. This is entirely normal and will happen no matter how well you have been following Bootcamp rules

It sounds, though, like some of you are eager to report losses anyway, so that's brilliant!

However, there's been a lot of falling off the wagon recently, so can I suggest that we really get focused in this week and make sure that we don't allow the carbs to creep back into the diet? From here on, we're only really going to see losses of around 1-2lbs a week, so let's not sabotage things.

Thanks for the messages folks they are really appreciated and yes reading all your messages about the LC and life in general does help, especially the light heartedness of the thread. Don't want to darken the thread, my Dad was 88 had a good life & I firmly believe he is re united with my Mam who died 3 years ago. Keep going everyone you are doing sooo well x

Sorry to hear about your dad Froufrou - do you have some support?

Wow Boobz - looking good!!!

Breakfast - none as no suitable food in that I could face for breakfast!
Lunch: egg mayonnaise and ham
Tea: it will be salmon mashed into butter and buttered spinach.

Can someone please motivate me to do 30 day shred?
It's a struggle as I have a baby and a toddler, a hubby who works late so zero time - but there must be a way! Please tell me how fab it is and how fab you look! I've got the DVD.

So sorry to hear your news, FrouFrou. Take care of yourself.

I am 2lbs down, hurray! Have put myself back on the spreadsheet and this time I am sticking to it! Only 4lbs to go until Goal Number 1 (9 stone 7). If I'm good I can be there in 2 weeks.

The strangest thing about this woe is that by week 4 of a low calorie diet I'd be pissed off and sneaking pizza and thinking bugger it, whereas with this system I'm as enthusiastic right now as I was on day one!

Posted on the previous thread about this week's 1 lb loss - which brings me to exactly 11 and a half stone - not a bad weight for my height (5' 4" and a quarter) but still overweight - want to lose another stone before I look at maintaining the loss. It'll be 26 weeks next Sunday that I've been doing this, so 6 months for the first 4 and a half stone. Am expecting it to take a lot longer for the final stone - but hoping to get there before June (my birthday).

Tonight we're having a proper Salade Nicoise, with fresh tuna steaks, hard boiled eggs, anchovies, olives, French beans etc - just no spuds included. Dad's elderly (but fun) neighbour is popping in for tea/coffee/wine and/or vodka/rum later, and have some chocolate biscuits ready to offer her - so need to fill up on dinner so there's no sense of deprivation (not that I eat chocolate even when not low carbing, horrid stuff!).

FrouFrou - hope you're doing OK - am here looking after my 85 year old Dad - I know he won't live forever (and he has terminal prostate cancer, which is showing signs of activity at the moment, very worrying), though I wish he would. 88 is a great age to have reached, and I know it's early days yet, and you're probably still in shock (even if his death was expected) - but I hope you're finding some comfort in good memories, and family. Sending good thoughts and empathy your way.

Afternoon All,

2lbs off this week making a grand total of [drum roll]..... 13lbs!!!!! I am shrinking!!

I had planned on having some wine and nuts at the weekend but due to unexpected goings on didn't get a chance. Will see if I can hold off now until next weekend.

Well done everyone!! How great does it feel to get to week 4 xx

Hello all, no change for me this week, despite sticking to the rules. Luckily BIWI had already issued a warning that this might happen so I am not too despondent, I have decided to start measuring myself too because I do feel thinner even though I haven't lost this week.

So sorry for your loss Froufrou.

Off to fill in the spreadsheet, have a good evening all.

I've put a pound on. Food-wise I've really stuck to it, although I can't shake the deep-rooted feeling that I CAN'T eat this much meat and fat and lose weight.

I've had a hellish period (unlike me), am in the middle of a stressful time at work and drank a bottle of Prosecco on Saturday night. I also didn't Shred for four days. Ho hum.

I put on 2lb this week, but had a cheaty weekend so I'm not too worried! I'll be continuing with hardcore bootcamp for the forseeable. I have another weekend where cheating will happen in a couple of weeks time! (birthday - must have cake!)
