Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness is here

Hope everyone is doing well.

I haven't weighed this morning - was a little bit distracted by a phone call from my lovely SIL in Australia, to announce the safe arrival of Gabriel Paul and Nell Florence Jean! Gabriel weighed 5lbs 2oz and Nell 4lbs 10oz, so good weights to say they are 3 weeks early.

So I'm a great aunty Grin

Congrats BIWI and nice pics :)

I had a couple of bad days last week so am not going to weigh for the time being. My trousers and knickers are still falling down but I feel bloated after having pizza and alcohol... the alcohol was planned the pizza wasn't... I was so knackered after driving for 6 hours that I got pizza from the shop next to the hotel and went to bed...

I promise I'm back on it tomorrow :(

I'm up north again next week mainly newcastle so fingers crossed I can stick to it tho considering bootcamping when I come back ready for my xmas nights out.

Congratulations Biwi, babes are gorgeous.
Well done all losers, everyone is doing so well. I'm a couple of pounds down I think but only because I have had a lousy couple of weeks so really back where I was at end of October.
DH is trying to join me now. It's a toughie because he gets quite grumpy without carbs and is a bit of a comfort eater but so far so good.

Teddy well done! I always thought the BMI chart was rubbish. But then I had to realise it was probably only rubbish if you were a weight-lifter or rugby player..... think I just didn't like what it was telling me!

Great Aunt BIWI* Grin those babies are so cute and what gorgeous names. Am jealous of your slim thighs and legs. Think we're about the same weight now - 9.7? - but I'm carrying everything on bum and thighs. Boobs have GONE. Sob.

Humph lovely post and fingers crossed for some positive news for you soon.

wine. Well done on the abstemious month!

B: Coffee with cream and Berroca in pint of water. (Not hungry)

L: Ham, cheese and egg with salad and mayo.

D: Celeriac, cabbage, cauliflower and spinach mashed and topped with cheese, in the oven until crispy and bubbling. Bacon I think or could be lamb chops. Such decisions on this woe. Grin

Hi everyone, a pound and a half off for me this week (ignores the fact that it's the pound and a half I put on last week)

Determined to make a real go of it this week, DP has a lot on work wise so he's a lot less likely to tempt me into a sneaky glass of wine or 3 Smile

Hi, can I join your thread? I'm 5'6" and weigh 11st 6. That's the heaviest I've ever been apart from when pregnant.
Starting low carbing today and was wondering if you could tell me if this sounds ok?
Breakfast-3 eggs scrambled with full fat milk, cup of tea with full fat milk
Snack- 2 sticks. Celery and saint agur spreadable
Lunch- celery and saint agur soup with double cream
Snack- apple (I don't think I'm allowed this) 4 slices pepperoni and three pieces of grilled chicken breast from pack
Another snack- was bloody starving- Greek yoghurt 2 tablespoons and some mixed berries (not sure about these either)
Cup of tea, full fat milk
Dinner- chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella, basil and half a tomato, mushrooms and courgettes cooked in butter and double cream with Parmesan, half a yellow pepper cooked in olive oil
Feel stuffed!

Hello :0)

Generally milk is a no no, though I have tea with semi skim 3 x a day because I've given up so much and that is my last bastion... plus tea did not make me fat :)
Same for yoghurt though I have Greek Total yoghurt as a dressing...

Also 6 weeks ago I was 11st 3
I am now 10st 4 :)

Good luck

Major - you are very welcome to join! However, you clearly need to read the rules Grin

If you click on the link to the spreadsheet that I have posted in the opening post of this thread, you will see that one of the tabs at the bottom has all the Bootcamp rules (there are only 10). Follow these rules and you will be fine!

But to deal with your post anyway:

Cut down on the milk - you don't need it in scrambled eggs - as it gets carby very quickly.

Make sure you are adding enough fat to your meals - don't grill your chicken, fry it in butter/oil.

Definitely lose the apple and the berries! Fruit isn't allowed on Bootcamp.

You are also eating a lot of dairy - milk, cream, cheese and yoghurt. You may be fine with it, but lots of people find that it impedes weight loss.

And Major, once you get into it you will find that are not hungry at all!

Hello! I stayed the same in the end, so not too bad. Not many plans this week or next weekend hopefully so can stay on track.

I cooked the butter chicken again tonight and had it with celeriac mash (first time for that) and broccoli.

I ended up not eating anything until dinner what with one thing and another, I doubt it did me much harm though based on my weekend's consumption.

Ilove - well done on your BMI, that is brilliant!

BIWI - congrats on becoming a great auntie twice over.

halfthesize - hope all goes well tomorrow.

Waves at everyone else, I am bound to have missed something...

Lovely babies, BIWI> Congratulations.

I am not weighing this week as it's just before my period when I blow up like a balloon. I am trying to drink as much water and eat LC, so I hope this will make the bloat go eventually

Well done to all the losers this week.

Evening all - BIWI those babies are beautiful & I'm another one who's jealous of your legs.

I went to Ikea today to buy four specific things & nothing else at all. I was determined. Somehow managed to spend £100 & came out with none of my four things Confused

Had lunch there - had a bowl of pumpkin soup & a bowl of salad. However, the soup tasted floury & the beetroot in my salad tasted sweet so I've no idea how carby they were.

Dinner was left over pork in a bolognaise sauce with marscapone stirred through it and some courgette ribbons.

Need to glug some more water now.

Well down to all the losers. Harcombe seems to suit me though I still feel guilty eating porridge. I'm not eating any white carbs at all and don't really miss them any more, except pizza.

BIWI: the twins are gorgeous and so are your legs Envy

Congrats to all for weight loss, babies and everything!

I weighed on Friday and was 3lbs down! Grin After my weekend I don't think weighing today would have been advisable so am claiming my Friday weight and it will keep me focussed this week.

It's not going to be an easy week as I am working all day tomorrow and have a meeting with lunch provided (we never know what we are getting till the rep arrives with it, it can range from gorgeous platters of cold meats, salads, etc to Value range sandwiches and doughnuts!) and I am out at a lunch event on Wed with a set menu 3 course meal.

Well done all you losers - especially those who have reached target. Really envious as I've weighed in the same now for several weeks in a row..... maybe need to cut back dairy and cut out the odd berries I'm having. Or maybe I need to fast a couple of days...has anyone tried this to get over a plateau? Have been really poor on the exercise front as well - just wondering how much exercise per week you gals are doing - and what exercise? Everyone I know seems to be running but its not for me -

Report
BIWI · 19/11/2012 21:20

Definitely try giving up the dairy and berries.

I go to the gym twice a week, for an hour each time with a personal trainer, and I also try and go at least once more on my own. Today I went on my own and did:

  • 10 minutes on the treadmill to warm up; incline starting at 11 and rising to 13. Speed 5.5 rising to 5.8.
  • 10 minutes on the crosstrainer, level 12, random setting
  • 3 different weights machines - chest press (20kg), low row (35kg) and lat pull-down (20kg) (12 of each, repeated 3 times)
  • 3 different stomach exercises (sit ups, leg raises, one I don't know how to describe!) and the plank
  • 10 minutes on the exercise bike, manual setting, level 7

I am much kinder to myself than my personal trainer is! I do High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) with him, on the rower or the crosstrainer or the bike. Sometimes we do Vipr work, sometimes the TRX and various Swiss ball exercises.

biwi congratulations and you are looking good in the pic.

Well done to all losers and welcome all newbies.

Hope the op goes well half

I have not weighed today after my horrendous week. Just hope my body thinks i'm starting a new diet and drops loads this week (well, i can live in hope)

boobz you sound like me. Ideally i want a six pack and no fat on my hips or thighs and want to look lean and toned but i'm not sure if i will achieve it now i seem to have less time to exercise. Also my boobs are beyond repair too Grin
