Kedgeree was lovely. Dh has decided not to have any and drink cider all night instead.Hmm. His loss. Cauliflower rice - who knew!!!!!

Lavendersbluedillydilly1969 · 10/11/2012 22:31

Took DC to fireworks tonight, was brilliant and even my youngest thought it was great.
Food has gone a bit haywire tonight as have had tikka masala, rice, onion bhaji's and meat samosas. All very yummy and topped off with a glass of wine. I even nicked a few of the kids chips. Will be much better tomorrow.

WineGless · 10/11/2012 22:45

That's me, four sides!

However am in agony here and can only presume It was the fruit juice in the non alcoholic cocktails. Hmmm think I'm better on wine!

Viperidae · 10/11/2012 23:23

I am back, after my few days away, and hanging my head in shame!

I could not find nice LC alternatives so decided to just forget it till I got home even the Krispy Kreme doughnuts but just need to get back on track now. What is this 3 day thingie?

On the plus side it was wonderful seeing DS again and catching up with friends we don't see often

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 10/11/2012 23:30

I think I did ok at the Indian Challenge. I had a prawn starter, then the tandoori grill. They brought a bhuna sauce with it so I had a few tastes but not much. Had spinach side dish, quite plain but nice colour contrast to all the red meat on my plate!
Sparkling water and a coffee with cream.
Feel very full (the grill was huge) but really didn't miss having rice. I think if I'd had a creamy sauce I would have wanted naan to mop it up but cos I had chosen tandoori, not an issue.

Waves to Wineglessless! Well done you!

Lavendersbluedillydilly1969 · 11/11/2012 07:23

Woohoo 10 2lbs this morning so no big gain after last nights blowout. Its daft but that's cheered me up no end this morning.

captainmummy · 11/11/2012 07:34

Have had a rotten few days - starting with a carby day on wednesday, felt rough after that! Then really good thursday and most of friday until went to dinner with friends - she did melon with sliced meats (had some melon) then chicken and butterbean pie with mash and veg - avoided the mash and tried not to eat the pastry. Then there was a lush raspberry cheesecake, and then cheese and biscuits. And lots of wine, cocktails, port ... felt awful yesterday. HAve had a raging headache for about 3 days now, and spent most of yesterday in bed.

Breakfast - nothing
lunch - nothing
dinner - 2 quorn burgers, 1 tomato, slice cheese.

Weighed this morning and i'm still up!

Sad

And I've still got the headache.

BIWI · 11/11/2012 08:04

Bleurgh. Woke up this morning with horrible sore throat and snotty nose. Wonder if that diarrhoea incident was in any way related to this? Am also running a temperature and generally feeling very sorry for myself Sad

Went to the MN Blogfest yesterday, (so no doubt have been spreading my lurgy far and wide amongst the blogosphere Grin), which was great - and they had specially ensured that there were low carb options at lunchtime! (Mind you, the canapes at the drinks party afterwards were absolutely gorgeous and one or two carby ones may have found their way into my gob).

Am going to have a 'take it easy' day today - have cancelled my session at the gym, and hopefully can knock this cold on the head quickly. I have a really busy week next week and can't afford to be poorly.

Good idea to rest BIWI. MAybe MNHQ knew how big bootcamp is and guessed there would be some LCers there and catered accordingly. IF only they could spread the message to the rest of the catering business Smile

I am back on the exercise wagon today. Got up and did a kettlebell workout and boy can I feel it after 2.5 weeks of no exercise.

No breakfast for me, not sure what lunch is but tea is emmental lasagne and I will take leftovers for lunch at work tomorrow.

I have my parents coming to see us next weekend so am doing a belgian beef stew on friday and not sure what will happen saturday. They usually want to go out for something to eat but they are travelling home sat night so not sure if they will want to eat out at lunch. I will have to steer them away from pizza hut.

AuntieMaggie · 11/11/2012 10:24

I'm still here but all over the country so trying as best I can... though I have slipped up a few times but what this WOE has done has reduced my appetite so when I have slipped up I've eaten a lot less. Am 2lbs up :(

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 11/11/2012 11:52

BIWI hope you feel better soon. And I hope you have given your lurgy to that witch Liz Jones. She has written about the blogfest in the fail. y'know, how all we ever talk about is our kids and baking cakes! Angry

Its in todays paper. I am so fed up with her.

BIWI · 11/11/2012 11:59

Yes - she's a lovely person isn't she?

MrsHerculePoirot · 11/11/2012 12:26

Think I am going to either be a little bit up this week or STS from last week. With DH being away for three out the last four weeks and the last two in a row, I've let myself slip into bad habits and frankly not really bootcamped at all lite or otherwise. Today is going to be a good day and DH and I are both ready to get back into the swing of things.

We were talking about getting a slow cooker - are they good? Do they take up a lot of room?

MrsHerculePoirot · 11/11/2012 12:26

BIWI - sorry, hope you feel better soon!

BIWI · 11/11/2012 12:33

I like my slow cooker, although I don't use it half as much as I could do. I have a very small one (have had it since my single, university days!), so it doesn't take up too much room. It just sits next to the toaster, keeping itself to itself.

Get well soon biwi and captainmummy

So glad you got to see your Ds viper

Viperidae · 11/11/2012 14:01

Thanks toomuch, it was lovely.

I woke up this morning with that awful craving for crap food that you get after falling off the wagon, but managed to hold myself back from Rice Krispies with milk and sugar. I need to be strict this week as we are away next weekend and I know I will be bad and enjoy it

BIWI · 11/11/2012 14:02

Oh yes, viper - you must be much relieved to have him back!

ignores references to Rice Krispies with milk and sugar

Just this once...

Breakfast was Greek yoghurt.

Lunch was loads of veg (red cabbage, swede, broccolli,) with roast beef. Avoided roast spuds, Yorkshire puds. Helped myself to some roast chicken too. Also avoided the enormous tiramisu that I had made for pudding, although did have to lick the spoon for a taste. I had a glass of red wine instead of pudding.

I feel very full, and expect the scales to be up again tomorrow, as there have been a few licks of spoons, lots of red wine, and rather a lot of onion in meals this weekend.

What I SHOULD do now is round the boys up and go for a long walk in the beautiful sunshine. However we have the papers, and the boys seem quite happy with the telly......and we did walk to shop this morning and ds1 has played football.........[lazy]
