New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

That was me, got you mixed up with eightytwenty sorry. I need to make notes!

InMySpareTime · 25/10/2012 13:58

I'm planning to weigh tomorrow morning, before I go to Amsterdam for the weekend (when all my good intentions will come to naught!), back to confess on Monday.

TheOneWithTheHair · 25/10/2012 18:47

Evening all and welcome sandrute. [hsmile]

Stoptober has not been a complete success as I've fallen off the wagon a couple of times however I don't smoke most days and I'm finding it easier and battling on. Thanks for asking Stealth.

Another good day here. I am liking eggs at lunch time. They mean that although I'm hungry at dinner time I can just about manage not to snack. That is an improvement. Although my caffeine consumption has increased

I've loved reading about everyone's mini milestones. Kato with regard to your friends you obviously look so gorgeous now that you are seen as a serious threat. Take it as the compliment that it is. Grin

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 08:55

Morning everyone. Who is feeling ultra motivated for the weekend today? I'm feeling like I want to go all out at the moment.
Without specifically trying to I ate under 500 cals yesterday! So ill see how the 5:2 thing goes for me.

Hair that sounds pretty good to me. Cutting down is also good and you've definitely done that and it sounds like you're on the verge of stopping. It can't have been easy as well as watching what you eat, I'm really impressed.

KatoPotato · 26/10/2012 08:58

Not me... Gained a pound!!

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 09:05

Oh no! It's a blip. Do NOT give into it.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 26/10/2012 09:11

Im.not either.
Nother having the best few days hence.my random but scarce posting.

I wake up with good intentions then cinema 3pm they have disappeared along with some sort of bad food.

Someone boot me up the arse !

reastie · 26/10/2012 09:32
MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 26/10/2012 09:50

Cheers reastie and cinema should say come....phone does not know best!

KatoPotato · 26/10/2012 09:57

To be fair, the cinema is a danger zone!

I'm staying positive, just been told this morning at work that Janice (no idea who she is!) wants to know what diet I'm on, because I look great, (cheers Janice!)

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 09:58

What's getting in the way most?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 26/10/2012 10:06

I have no idea Stealth , I just feel lazy probably down to the shit food and end up picking! Ds is poorly too which doesn't help.

I need a few good days and I should be fine! Plan plan plan!

reastie · 26/10/2012 10:20

Bokey hope you have a good week end

Kato try to think positive - if you didn't occasionally put on a lb then it would mean you wouldn't appreciate the losses you get quite as much [strange logic]

stealth hope the 5:2 works for you - you've lost so much! Do you mind me asking what dress size you were before? You must've gone down quite a few sizes.

Things here were going really well - on track for a 3 or 4 lb loss this week (wowee) but having tummy and head troubles which I think is down to not eating enough but not realising I'm not eating enough as I'm not overly hungry IYKWIM. Today I am ravenous so making up for all the lost kcals Blush . I guess 4lbs would have been an awful lot for one week.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 10:32

3lb would be brilloant reastie!
I was an 18, sometimes a 20 before. Now I'm a 14, odd thing that's a 16 (tops mainly) but trousers tend to be too big. I can even wear 12s, assuming i don't mind looking like a sausage :o (which I do)

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 10:37

I do mind that is. not i do wear them

KatoPotato · 26/10/2012 10:43

I might try something in a size 12 today... could go either way...

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/10/2012 11:03

Well I'm off to the shops today and I'm dragging IMST with me to buy I bra that she can't pull over her head. Grin

I might try a 12 too because I haven't been shopping since these threads began and I've lost 11lbs since then. That's got to be worth a dress size right? [hhmm]

InMySpareTime · 26/10/2012 14:11

I now have two lovely bras that fit, my boobs are back up where they should be, and I look and feel much better.
Unfortunately, all the weight I lost came off my back, so my reasonably cumbersome 36Gs are now 34GGs (and that's only because they add 5 inches on at the shop I bought from, I actually measure 29 inches round my chest). I'm heading for R&P territory now, and if much more comes off my back it'll be even harder to buy!

MilkshakeMaker · 26/10/2012 18:54

I feel like I'm cheating diets but I'm actually following 3 different ones at the same time and it seems to be working really well on the scales front. I'm doing the 5:2, slimming world and calorie controlled (1200 on non fast days) all was unintentional but now i've realised it I will stick to it for while(least to a size 12 i think)

I'm not really looking much slimmer but I feel great, I think the fast days has really helped reduce my appetite so even on normal days I dont end up pigging out.

All of your milestones are fantastic, just reading them has spurred me on so thank you...Keep them coming!!!

reastie · 26/10/2012 18:57

milkshake whatever works Grin

stealth that is an amazing loss, well done you

IMST I'm very glad you now have bras that can't go over your head!

I just weighed myself and I am HALF A STONE heavier than when I weighed yesterday morning Shock [sigh] . I have been pretty rubbish tbh today with food, but, I did do the shred in the hopes it helps make up with it. Still struggling with my iron levels too Sad

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 19:04

Shock at half a stone. That has happened to me but it's usually water/bloating. Goes very quickly. It gives you a huge shock though.

MilkshakeMaker · 26/10/2012 19:04

Reastie, I wouldnt believe the scales for a second...body fluctuations, different times, morning is always better and if you hadnt eaten yday and today presumably you have eaten so its more than likely if you do it again in the morning it will be much better!

reastie · 26/10/2012 19:14

Thanks both, hoping tomorrow I'll be back on track for a loss this week but scales didn't half give me a shock! Must weigh again tomorrow to check and see!

My fast days are work days, and I just have something free on slimming world in the evening and keep track of the cals on mfp, I did a mini weigh this morning and if it stays the same till Monday will be another 2lb this week, I do think I'm being a little ott and it probably won't stay. Off when I go back to normal but for time being its being good to me and I haven't got bored yet!

I could however, take a slice of cake off a baby if given the opportunity and would not feel bad coz it would be worth it!
