New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

actually is it gluten free? I hvae no idea!!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 18/10/2012 15:53

Just checking in, doing ok but busy, will be back later to catch up! :)

reastie · 18/10/2012 16:01

not gluten free stealth . No wonder I'm low in iron!

InMySpareTime · 19/10/2012 06:52

Dried apricots are pretty high in iron IIRC. With your dietary limitations you might need an iron supplement though, too many iron-rich foods are off limits.

TheOneWithTheHair · 19/10/2012 07:57

Also vitamin C helps iron absorption so having a glass of pure orange or something with every meal will help as your body finds it harder to get iron from veg than meat.

InMySpareTime · 19/10/2012 09:27

I weighed this morning at 11st 10, another 1lb off from last week, so it looks like I'm not an impostor in the 11 club after allGrin.

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 19/10/2012 10:05

Well done IMST :)

KatoPotato · 19/10/2012 10:39

Whoop whoop well done IMST a bona-fide member indeed!

I'm nudging into the 10st club with a 2lb loss taking me to 155! I'm citing stress as the cause due to house buying and closing dates and viewing 7 houses in one week...

I did inhale a double decadence dominos last night so not convinced at all!!!

TheOneWithTheHair · 19/10/2012 11:01

Well done IMST!

Claim it Kato! your weightloss has been brilliant!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 19/10/2012 12:15

Kato Accept it and run! Hows the house buying going?

KatoPotato · 19/10/2012 12:21

I am a wreck! Closing date was fixed for 12pm today! Our offer is in!!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 19/10/2012 12:22

Oh are you in Scotland?

Their buying system would send me into pieces! Shock

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 19/10/2012 12:22

Fingers crossed for you!

KatoPotato · 19/10/2012 12:27

This is only as of yesterday, we had second viewing booked and my Soliciitor phoned to say they'd had a surprise offer so wanted to take it to closing date. we went as planned, still love the house, and ready to put offer in this morning.

Informed they'd put it to a 12pm close, and my sol was told they are likely to take the other offer (so why didnt they?) but wanted to give us time to make an offer too.

We've went at 1,250 over the home report value as this is honestly our absolute limit.

How long until I hear???

reastie · 19/10/2012 12:34

kato how stressful. I guess they get the info at 12 and then they work out which offer they accept. You're in a strong position I assume as you don't have a chain and can move in with more flexibility if you're renting at the minute [hopeful]

TheOneWithTheHair · 19/10/2012 12:39

Good luck Kato let us know.

KatoPotato · 19/10/2012 13:20

OFFER ACCEPTED!!!!!

KatoPotato · 19/10/2012 13:20

Solicitor thinks the £250 may have been enough! haaa

TheOneWithTheHair · 19/10/2012 13:22

That's wonderful Kato! Congratulations. Thanks

Now you just have the stress of actually completing and moving. It'll be a breeze!! Grin

reastie · 19/10/2012 13:28

TheOneWithTheHair · 19/10/2012 14:47

The theatrical cake is on my profile for anyone that's interested. I'm quite proud of it. I just hope the Olympics one I have to do in two weeks goes as well. :)
